We've eaten here a few time food is okay , so my husband orders some food on the doordash almost 100 worth of food, and there's no option to add lemons, cilantro, and onion, I mean we ordered quite a bit of food, I called to make sure they add it and I'm told I need to pay, my fridge just went out so normally it wouldn't be a big deal because we'd have some in our home but to be rude and say you need to pay made me want to cancel my entire order, I wont be going back here. I entered the building mouthwatering, and with high expectations, sadly I just wasn't impressed by the flavors. STARTERS: Complimentary chips and salsa hit the tables and were eagerly consumed by my party... You cant go wrong serving (what is basically) junk food to hungry patrons as a filler appetizer. Next up was the soup, which reminded me of a bland stale cracker. So in my little test kitchen, right there at the table, I added lime to see if I could convert it to an edible, more savory delight. I failed and realized that I probably needed more ingredients... Like all of them. Well, to not be harsh, it did become perfectly succulent, if you defined flavorsome as a lime flavored stale cracker. END GAME: After two spoonfuls, I left it right there on the table. The waitress never questioned if I was satisfied with the soup. There are only two reasons for this. Either the establishment has become so numb by the fact that most people do not eat the soup or they just don't care if you eat it or not. Most establishments would see the amount of food that you've consumed, and that you are going to pay for, and at least ask you if it was okay. Mine was just shy of being filled to the brim of the bowl no inquiries were made from the staff. ENTREE: As a first time visitor, I figured I would keep it simple. I ordered the chicken enchiladas (rojo). It came out in a timely fashion, but this is where my delight was terminated. To my palate the enchiladas just weren't as robust and ambrosial as I have encountered in other restaurants around town. END GAME: I tried to eat it, but left most on the plate. Again, no inquiry was made as to why I would have ordered food and sent it away without really eating it. BEVERAGE: I had Sprite. It tasted... ummm not flat... it was full of carbonation... it was like the essence of some other beverage choice was somehow introduced into the easily recognized Sprite flavor. END GAME: if I in some way managed to bump my head and forget about this review and then was forced to return... I would hope that I could remember one thing... to, at the very least, bring my own beverage. I left the building with my mouth still watering. I went to another Mexican establishment (near Florence and Paramount) in town, on the recommendation of a local. HOW THE STAR RATING WAS EARNED: Okay, I can admit this would have been a tough thing to define if I were to make this a 5-star review. Fortunately, a one-star is much easier to highlight. Ordered a carne asada burrito. When the lady rang my order the price came up close to $17. I asked why there was a price difference because the menu on their counter stated that the price was $12.99. She replied that the price increased plus they charge a fee for using a debit/credit card. I asked for prices on other items and they were all over the place. I received three different prices for the same item. First price the lady provided me with, second price listed on the menu of their counter and then the third price listed on their menu in Yelp, they were all different. Overall the burrito was decent. Went to Yoli's Kitchen because we were staying in an Airbnb close by and the reviews were good. IMHO the reviews are completely off. My husband ordered a chile verde pork burrito. The sauce was incredibly bland and the burrito was accompanied by a limp lettuce salad dressed with Italian(!) dressing. The menu was rather vague with no prices shown--a fact that should have been a warning. I wanted the tamales but they were out so I resorted to a mundane combo of cheese enchilada and chile relleno. The enchilada was tasty but the cheese inside was strangely hard. As for the relleno, the surrounding chili pepper was undercooked and pretty much inedible. We had no idea how much the total bill would be, but from the underwhelming quality of the food, I estimated somewhere around a generous $25 total. My husband nearly fell over when the total came to $39.86. So not worth it. We may have been a little disingenuous, but I also think the restaurant owner was deceptive, knowing fully well that their food was so lacking that they dared not reveal the price. If you crave Mexican food just slightly better than Taco Bell, you will love Yoli;s Kitchen. Otherwise, save your wallet and tastebuds some grief and go elsewhere. read more

I've had a variety of things here from the pozole to enchiladas to tacos dorados. Tacos dorados were the star. Their machaca has really good flavor so those tacos kill. The ground beef enchiladas were good. Their chips and salsa are delicious. I didn't care much for the pozole as it had feet in it & it kind of tasted like it. The horchata was stellar.
