    Breakfast Burrito w/ home fries
    Jordan C.

My family and I came here for a good sized brunch before a day of hiking and boy we left satisfied. We arrived around 11am on a Sunday and they were quite busy. There was a slight wait for a table, but they moved very efficiently and we were seated in less than 15 minutes after arriving. The atmosphere is very welcoming, cozy, and family friendly. The service was excellent! Our waiter was super friendly, very attentive, and accommodating. He gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and made sure our waters and coffees were filled. As for the food, it was all excellent and the portion sizes were super generous, especially for the price! I ended up ordering the breakfast burrito which was filled with three scrambled eggs, onions, peppers, and a choice of meat (opted for chorizo), served with a choice of a side (home fries). This burrito was absolutely amazing! The eggs were super fluffy and the chorizo was really flavorful - adding the perfect amount of spice! I also appreciated that all the fillings were equally distributed throughout the burrito, so each bite had a little bit of everything in it. The home fries were good as well. My dad ordered the Big Bear entree which included their famous seasoned home fries topped with three eggs your choice, crumbled apple-wood smoked bacon, crumbled sausage, and cheddar cheese, with gravy over the top, and a choice of grits for the side. My dad loved this dish and noted that it was very heart and filling. He really enjoyed all the components of it, complimenting the amount of flavor. My sister ordered the Eye Opener Entree which included two eggs your choice, served with sausage, bacon (or ham), grits, and a biscuit (or toast). The bacon was cooked nice and crispy, and the biscuit was very fluffy. She opted for the cheesy grits and really enjoyed those as well! My mom opted for the Loxacado entree which was toast smothered in avocado, topped with smoked salmon, sliced tomatoes, capers, chives, and pickled onions, with a choice of a side (cheesy grits). My mom liked her dish and thought it was fresh, with good flavor. Then, we decided to split the ultimate stuffed French toast because it looked too good to pass up. The ultimate French toast was stuffed with their sweet cream cheese, strawberries, and blueberries, topped with blueberry compote, served with choice of meat (bacon). This dish just hit the spot! It was quite rich and heavy, but perfect to share. The cream cheese and berry compote were excellent and the toast had great flavor. I would recommend ordering anything we tried. Everything was great and we were not disappointed with anything. Overall, Yonah Coffee and Cafe is a great breakfast spot for any occasion. The atmosphere is great for families and a good time. The service is on point and everyone was very welcoming, efficient, and helpful. The food was impressive and the price was even better, especially considering how generous the portions were. If you are in the area, I would 100% recommend checking this place out. I doubt you'll be disappointed!

We were in town visiting our grandchildren this past weekend. We asked our son and daughter-in-law if they wanted to go out for breakfast on Sunday morning. They recommended Yonah Cafe so we decided to give them a try. We arrived and asked for a table for 6 (including two toddlers). We waited 30 to 45 minutes outside of the restaurant for our table. This is a small restaurant so the wait time during high volume can be long and we were there during their peak volume. We were seated at a table and ordered drinks. Two of us ordered a hot coffee drink and it took 15 or more minutes for our coffee to be delivered. The coffee was delicious but required a long wait for delivery to our table. My better half ordered the Traditional Eggs Benedict's with fried potatoes and I ordered the Big Bear with cheese grits. Our son and daughter-in-law ordered the Breakfast Burrito. My wife sliced through the poached egg and discovered a hard boiled egg. No runny yolk but a fully cooked yolk. The great thing about Eggs Benedict is cutting into the poached egg and having the yolk run over the Canadian Bacon on underlying English Muffin. That was not happening with these overcooked eggs. I sliced into my "Over Easy" ordered eggs on my Big Bear to discover my yolks were fully cooked. Again a disappointing experience. A restaurant that specializes in Breakfast and Brunch should deliver eggs that are cooked as ordered. The Breakfast Burritos looked great and were enjoyed by our family. Our server was friendly but very busy with many other tables. While this is a popular breakfast place that was packed with diners, their execution of our orders was disappointing to my better half and me.

The coffee and food are awesome! We had a great first visit .. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. The biscuits are huge.

Giving this place 5 stars for Service, Gender Neutral restrooms, Gluten Allergy options, Alternative milk and Alcohol availability on Sundays although during limited hours (hallelujah!!!) The coffee is alright, not the best. However after spending 5 days in Smokey mountains I realized this is actually pretty decent coffee. So if you are from Portland Seattle or Boulder etc (you will not love this coffee). But this is as good as it gets in the area if you want to support a local coffee shop. Now the breakfast here is excellent. We ordered eggs Benedict(one with chorizo) on gluten free toast and also gluten free avocado toast with bacon. Delicious food and loved the texture of GF bread. The ambiance was pretty cool. very airy and modern coffee shop and almost all table have a power outlet so a great place to sit and work. Would be nice if they added cushy furniture for people to sit longer hours and work.

We're in Northeast GA visiting family and stopped by Yonah Coffee and Cafe for breakfast. I got The Big Bear breakfast bowl: Seasoned home fries topped with two over-easy eggs, crumbled apple-wood smoked bacon, crumbled sausage and topped with cheddar cheese. Hearty and delicious

We were in Toccoa Falls visiting our nephew. I found this spot for breakfast and it did not disappoint!! The inside is so quaint and cozy. Different spaces for private and quieter visits or studying. The food was wonderful and our server did great!!! She saw to every detail and request! She told us it was her first day but I wouldn't have believed it! Great coffee and we'll plan to come back if we are nearby again.

Service was (shy of one saving grace) meh and food was just meh. The menu had several items listed that really could bring this place up a notch. Hubby ordered the duck Cuban which was really good. I had the chicken quesadillas, nothing to write home about. My girlfriend got the Philly and said it was good. I love the brand of chips they serve and especially the jalapeño queso chips. They were out of wings. This is a miss considering how this was one of if not the last weekends of the season to see the leaves change colors, it's going to be busy and wings aren't hard to stock nor do they go to waste at a restaurant/bar. They should've been prepared. The setup is you order at the bar, take your drink and a number to your table and they bring your food. Cool. They bring our food out and my gf asks for napkins and they tell her she's gotta go back up to the deck to get them. Huh? Why didn't they just bring them with the food? We have fresh food in front of us and now have to leave that food to get napkins? Here comes saving grace because as soon as that server made it back to the deck, a different server comes out to our table with a caddy of napkins. She was really cool, and much appreciated! They have a target audience (people coming and going to and from the park) so I guess they don't have to deliver stellar food and service but to miss on both is disappointing. People are making memories with their families. And it wouldn't take much to tighten up and deliver amazing food and amazing service instead of just being convenient. I chose the place for our party of 8 and I felt bad. Thankfully I think everyone was too tired and cold to complain.

My GPS took us to the wrong location at first (why does that happen?) but we made it to the right spot about 2 minutes later. We loved the outside appearance of the place. I would have liked to have had more time to look around, but we just had enough time for lunch. The shop had so many cute things to browse through. Maybe next time. The owner happened to greet us as we walked in so we received excellent service from all the employees. The menu isn't extensive, but so many things tasted delicious that it was hard to decide what we wanted to eat. We both decided to do the half soup/half sandwich route. My sister had the soup special that included spinach, sausage, and gnocchi (?) while I had the potato soup. The weather wasn't really cold, but it's starting to feel like fall so what's better than soup! The soup arrived hot and both were tasty. My sister went with "The Jerry", a pimento cheese on toast which she said was delicious. I had the "The Bacon Jammer" because I love bacon, carmelized onions, and bacon jam. It was OUTSTANDING. I will be dreaming about it for a while. We did not have dessert, but our service was fabulous and we both want to go back. Don't miss out on this local gem!

We absolutely loved our one hour experience at Capyfriends Cafe!…read more Located on the campus of Nacoochee Adventures you will find a quaint little home that has been converted into a small cafe and Capybara lounge. In the far rear room you will come face to face with these gentle, curious, and extremely large rodents. Even if you are slightly timid of animals, it is very easy to forget what they are because they are so sweet and docile. The first 20 minutes or so we were introduced to four Capy's of differing ages. The youngest was about 4 weeks old and the oldest and largest was about 8 months. All were females. We were given a handful of lettuce and carrots each to feed our furry animal friends. The typical amount of paying guests is between 8-10 people, which keeps the encounter intimate and enjoyable. During the next 40 minutes we were introduced to a new animal about every 10 minutes. The friends who came out to play included: a large Guinea Pig, a tiny Hedgehog, a hilarious Armadillo, a small dog-sized Muntjac Deer and the absolutely adorable Fennec Fox babies. Prior to this encounter I don't ever remember having knowledge of these foxes. But now that I've seen them, I will never forget them. They also offer a one hour long VIP MEET THE BABIES experience and a 30 minute Capybara only experience. Prices vary about $50 between experiences, with the CAPYBARA ONLY experience being the least costly and the VIP BABIES being the most costly. Our CAPYBARA & FRIENDS experience was right in the middle @ $125pp. Any experience is great for the whole family, but I would highly recommend the one hour tours. Our hour went by so quickly and we wanted, no, NEEDED more time with all of these wonderful creatures. Afterwards we spent the remainder of our day exploring the fun little German-inspired town of Helen, GA which also happens to be currently hosting Oktoberfest throughout the month of October. So put on your best Lederhosen and Dirndl and come spend a memorable weekend in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

There were some adult ones and some baby ones - all are cute and as chill as you'd imagine them to be. You get to feed them with veggies and pet them. While the concept is great, the execution can use further refinement. I've imagined it being like a cat cafe (and there is a kiosk where you can get alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which is great). However the ambiance is simply not there as the place reminds of somebody's awkward house. Unlike cat cafe where you can stroll between cats - the capybaras locked in their own room which is only accessible and visible during your designated time slot. The space is underwhelming and needs design. Think of this experience like arranging to meet your favorite celebrity ... at a random chevron gas station down I85 ... it's amazing but also ... weird.
