We also got the marinated short ribs, which were solid, and the pork belly, which was cooked perfectly the way I like it--crispy and cut into small, bite-sized pieces. The banchan (side dishes) were good as well, and even though we didn't order one of the beef and pork combos, we still received soup and Korean steamed eggs. Korea may have lost, but the friends I was with made up for it. For me when a BBQ place operates on gas/propane instead of charcoal, this is automatically a fail - it just doesn't taste as good no matter how good the cuts are for me. Meats were ok and some of the side options are out of the ordinary and decent. Only thing is they close at 10 and they start basically giving you the stink eye if you don't 'start leaving' around 9:30. I'll stick with other BBQ spots. read more

We went all out with the Beef Combo large (for 4) for $199--featuring a lineup of brisket, rib finger, ribeye, short ribs, and marinated short ribs. The best part? The staff grills it all for you, just sit back and eat! Plus, the side dishes and dips that come with it are not to be missed. Try not to fill up on them though; it's a challenge! The Scallion Salad was surprisingly refreshing, nothing boring about it! The Egg Souffle was absolutely dreamy , and the Denjang Jjigae (soybean paste stew) with tofu warmed us right up. came here for dinner after my family friend recommended it. we made an appointment online prior to coming something that really sets the mood is parking and this place parking is horrendous. there's a whole parking lot out front but we are not allowed to use it until after 7pm once the surrounding stores apparently closed. you can do valet or you can self park but the street/residential parking here isn't optimal and there aren't any close cross walks which is a safety manner. once you do park, the restaurant itself is clean and pretty decent size. the staff is pretty sweet and attentive to water but not much else (we had to ask for more side dishes- we were a group of 6). we got 2 large (which is suppose to feed a group of 8) but it was just perfect for the 6 of us. one pork one beef. a bit on the pricey side. the quality was not bad but not the best; especially not for the price in my opinion the only saving grace was the free cold noodle (nangmyun) since we posted a story tagging them on instagram. overall, palpark/fort lee has ample amount of kbbq places- this place wouldn't be a top choice but it's better than AYCE places like kpot/cast iron read more

One of the Korean BBQ places that we frequent in Grand Avenue in Palisades Park. BYOB Valet Parking And the option to enjoy the different parts of either beef or pork. The place is quite spacious, and with the benefit of being BYOB, it's great for a gathering. We were 5 in our party, and ordered the Large for 4 ($199) with scallion pancake, fresh beef sashimi and noodles later. The server grills the meat at a different table and brings it to our grill on the table, so it is quite convenient (not sure whether this is only for a large groups since the last time we were there, three of us, the bbq happened on our table. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Sunday night and the place was calm. Our table was already set up with a line up of banchan, beautifully arranged and looking appetizing. Eggplant salad was fire! Egg souffle was so fluffy, as expected. We got the Large Beef for 4 and an order of Pork Belly. They did the grilling and they did change the grill for each kind of meat, keeping it sanitary. I enjoyed making Ssam out of it, because their looseleaf lettuce were just so fresh and crispy, the meats were properly grilled and the right seasonings were right on hand. Came with some friends for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy which was good. Got the large beef platter for four and pork platter for four along with Galbi Jjim, galbi tang and seafood pancake for the table. Really great value of quantity here where I felt like the meat just kept coming lol. They partially cook the food in the back and then bring it out to finish on the grill so your clothes aren't absolutely stretched after the meal, so that was nice. My partner suggested this place for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. We got the large beef combo, which is definitely for more than 2 people, but we were really, really hungry. It came with plenty of meat and sides. I really liked the rib fingers and marinated short rib and all of the banchan were well done too. They cook the meat for you here and all the servers were attentive and friendly, but it did make the experience feel a little more rushed than if we were to cook ourselves. Service: 7/10 (friendly) / 4/10 (experience). Nothing against the services, it was overall a decent experience. The reason behind low score is that the grilling happened elsewhere. I don't know if it is due to group size or something else. A part of experience is someone to grill in front of me, not on a separate table. If it's not in front of me, then it could have been in the kitchen like any other restaurant. I believe price tag tells me it shouldn't be grilled elsewhere. the upcharge is the experience. Place: 9/10. Neat and clean. The bathroom is meeting my expectation for sure. nothing out of ordinary that stands out as negative. So here comes my big negative. Parking!!! What's with the valet parking? it's in the same lot, the idea of valet parking is that the closest lot is located elsewhere or distant, therefore, customers would pay a bit extra to avoid the necessary walking. Top end restaurant in major cities where parking isn't available, or hotels where parking is located in deck or underground in a connected building. The restaurant owner picked a place knowing it lacks necessary space. the valet parking guy is just stacking cars very closely. the valet parking, therefore, is servicing the restaurant as his action would allow more customers. Had he not exist, the customers might have dine elsewhere due to lack of parking. Having customers paying for a valet parking right in front of the same lot is ridiculous. I see whole lot of problem with parking. top concerns are: 1. is he a contractor or an employee of the restaurant. i don't even know to whom I gave my key to. 2. is his operation insured? 3. why is this guy so rude, lack of basic training in service? Overall: I think it's still worth the visit, but it's nothing special enough that I would visit again. Food is good but expected with its price tag, can easily get similar quality meat elsewhere at this price tag. I didn't get to experience the bbq, so no comment on this specifically. My fiance took me to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We came on a weekday at 5:30pm therefore it wasn't busy. We were immediately seated. We ordered tteokbokki ($13), kimchi jjigae ($15), and the beef combo for two ($115). Okay the food was absolutely delicious! Many side dishes. Very impressive with the salad side dish. My fiance is Korean and he was very impressed with the flavor of the kimchi jjigae. I was too. There was a particular spice added that I don't believe other Korean restaurants use. Reasons one less star for the food: The tteokbokki was delicious but for the price, holy cow. The portion was small. And for what is considered street food in Korea, $13 is too much. Another thing I didn't like was that my partner had to ask for rice for the kimchi jjigae. It usually comes with rice but our order came without it. We had to ask. Same with the bbq. Eating Korean BBQ with lettuce is common. But we had to ask for it. I don't know. For the price, I didn't like that. This would have been four stars if it wasn't for us asking. Another reason for one less star is for the valet. My blood is boiling thinking about what we went through. While there is a small parking lot, you can't just park anywhere. There is a valet there. Prior to getting out of the car, I intentionally left my car key in my fiance's car because I'm clumsy enough to drop it and lose it somewhere in the restaurant. Plus I have a hand sanitizer attached to it that makes it bulky. We got out of the car and gave the valet my fiance's key and we received a ticket (#244). At 8pm, we left the restaurant. Gave the valet our ticket. The valet guy was looking really hard for the key and asked my partner if he had the key. He stated no. Valet guy went to the car. I made a joke that they left his key in the car. The valet brought the car to us, we tipped him, and we left. Forty minutes later, we arrived at home. Reached for my car's key, it wasn't there. My fiance called the restaurant. Yep, somehow the valet has it. Had to drive 30 minutes back (pay for the express toll to get there quicker). Called the restaurant on the way there asking what they could do to make this better. I was PISSED with the amount of gas and toll we were losing for someone else's negligence. However the valet service is a whole another company separated from the restaurant. So of course it's not the restaurant's responsibility to make it better. When we got there, the valet guy acted confused to see us. The restaurant staff came out with my key and a bag full of banchans (Korean side dishes). Once again driving 30 minutes home using the express route. What made me more pissed was that there was a #244 ticket attached to MY key. Earlier my fiance gave the valet our #244 ticket. Not sure how he didn't give us my key that had the correlating ticket. The whole thing doesn't make sense. read more

This recently opened place has become a favorite for my family--we've been there 3-4 times already, and we just can't get enough! While their BBQ combo is delicious and well-cooked, my wife and I have been to our fair share of Korean BBQ spots, so we tend to focus more on side dishes and service to set places apart. That said, the must-try side dish here is the Kkadeuki Bokkeum Bap; it's so good you'll keep coming back just for that. The food is prepared by a fantastic staff with great recommendations and friendly attitudes. They suggested the eggplant appetizer to my family, and even my father, who has never been an eggplant fan, was impressed. Oh, and did I mention it's a BYOB BBQ place? Management is inexperienced and disappointing - had a frustrating experience. Someone else also mentioned that the valet service is just a money grab scam. I self parked, the guy came took my keys and gave me a slip, I came out and he handed me the keys back. Why would I tip for zero effort. I was told tipping is optional but clearly it isn't - THEY TRIED TO FORCE IT. What a scam. Raised it to the manager and it was very poorly handled. I would happily tip if there is service/effort - definitely not allowing to be forced to hand out the money (no matter the amount) just like that. What a nuisance. The overall restaurant management and especially the manager on duty should ensure customers have a great experience and they want to return. I am DEFINITELY NOT RETURNING. I'm bringing awareness to an incident where our friend was wrongly accused of smoking in the bathroom by the manager. I observed the manager mentioning multiple recent incidents, three times specifically, where the fire marshals have been called. He disregarded my concerns about a group of men smoking and vaping outside of the restaurants as being culpable. As an asthmatic, my friends are well aware of my sensitivity to smoke and vape fumes. If you choose to visit the restaurant, be wary as you may have the police involved in a situation you had no involvement in. This is unfortunate as the atmosphere and food are good, but the possibility of having the authorities called on you is not a risk I want to take again. Other KBBQ restaurants in the Fort Lee / Pal Park are worth their salt. read more
