    Pork combo
    David Y.

I don't remember who told me this place but I had this place bookmarked for some time and I'm glad I finally got to try this place out on a Friday night. Once I entered, was seated at a table, there was no wait. The place has a rustic Korean bbq vibe to it but also has random vintage items, like an old tv and old games and some modern items like claw games. Ended up getting the pork combo for 2 ($90) and chose to get the aged pork belly, pork jowl and marinated pork short ribs. They give you a lot of banchan (side dishes) and they were good. The quality of the pork was really good as well. There was a lot of food for two people which I really appreciated. My favorite from the pork was the aged pork belly or marinated pork short ribs, all were really good tho. The servers were excellent and were on top of all my orders and cooking everything perfectly. This is my new go to pork bbq spot. Next time I come here I'm bringing my family :) I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for bbq pork belly. * Parking garage on ground floor * Good service * A lot of games for all ages

Holy heavenly pork. My husband and I came for our first visit tonight and thanked the social media algorithm that put this place on our radar. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building and the stairwell leading up is so quiet and eerie that we wondered if it might be closed. But as soon as we stepped inside, it was clear that good eats were ahead. The air inside was thick with the smell of smoke and barbecued meats, and every table was littered with all kinds of side dishes (which come free with meat orders). I was happily surprised by the premium side dishes, like tteokbokki, steamed egg, raw marinated crab, and choice of stew (either kimchi or fermented soybean). Before long, it was time for meat. As far as the cooking goes, this is a full service meal, with servers prepping the grill, cooking and cutting the meat, and refilling things as needed. I love the taste of Korean barbecue but I don't love smelling like it for hours later, so we definitely appreciated the retractable exhaust hoods that sucked up most of the smoke. The grill is cleverly tilted to allow most of the rendered fats to drip away, and the servers place finished meats on an offset pan to avoid overcooking. They've got meat preparation to an art form here, and the taste of that dry aged pork was outstanding. Service was fantastic throughout our meal, with servers stopping to prep, cook, or refill things on our table as we noshed our way through the meal. Few things were amiss. We had to ask for the lettuce that comes standard with meats, and we never got our cutlery. But we made out fine with the buckets of disposable cutlery At the end of the meal, my husband leaned back in his chair, patted his belly contentedly, and declared, "That was the best meal I've had in months." I couldn't agree more.

TLDR: Pork specialist spot in Palisades Park. Same team from the pocha down the block. Dry-aged pork belly, cheonggukjang and kkakdoogi bokkeumbap. This spot is on the second floor and love the design, it's a very retro feeling. Something about the lighting, it almost reminds me of the marbles set in Squid Game. They have some arcade machines upfront for when people wait. Some of the grills are on the round table but they have some off the side and were able to accomodate our stroller. Banchan is solid but you're here for the pork. We got the frozen thin-sliced pork belly, the dry-aged pork belly and also the brisket. The brisket is solid, especially when it gets nice and crispy. The frozen pork belly they do a nice amount of peppering across, almost reminds me of the flavor of guanciale but not cured. They have a whole bunch of dips between ssamjang, one with salted shrimp and also sesame oil. There was also this sweet soy and egg yolk sauce, kind of like sukiyaki. The dry-aged pork belly was our favorite. Personally for the extra $2, I'd just order these. They're par-cooked but finished on the grill so you get this INCREDIBLE sear around it. They also add bean sprouts, garlic chives and kimchi to finish. The outside was crispy but the inside was nice and tender plus the extra flavor from the dry-aging. The kkakdoogi fried rice was decent but I think ours might have had too much egg in it which threw off the texture. I'd still try it again though. They also have Paik's Lager which was pretty good. It's been awhile since I've gone to a place I liked this much but yes, very tasty.

It's themed like a retro street/arcade in here, very casual and cute. The aged pork belly is really good and they have drink specials (though they were super busy when we visited and ran out of some of their options like highballs, which was a bummer). I think I'd come again for drinks with friends here as it's a fun environment.

Pork belly comes slightly charred, not cooked. Taste is as expected. It's supposed to be slightly wet aged but can't tell the difference. Its basically a fan blowing air inside a fridge so not sure if its reallt doing anything. Also some people do not recommend aging pork so just FYI. Gave 4 stars because sides were great.

Food 4/5 Value 3/5 Ambiance & Service 5/5 Newly opened kbbq spot in town! They're known for their pork kbbq here which is different from the rest and they also provide duck as an option which is new. Never tried that before so it was refreshing to try When you first walk in the interior is super cute with the floral decor, they have a photobooth when you first enter for $7 You walk up a flight of stairs and when you go in, they have a retro look and feel with the tv, signs, and overall decor They even have arcade playing station for free and some snacks for you to just take We ordered the dry aged pork, nam sang, beef brisket, and half a duck for 4 people The meat options feel limited since they primarily focus on pork. Would def suggest having more beef options too Dry aged pork 4.5/5: this was delicious esp and nicely crispy! Highly reco getting this Nam sang 4/5: this was more mediocre, nothing special but stilly juicy Beef brisket 4.5/5: juicy beef brisket and am a beef lover so more easily impressed Duck 3/5: although it's something different I don't love the duck, it also felt kind of rough and very fatty

because they promote aged pork and specialty pork cuts, so I had higher expectations. The interior has a retro vibe with arcade machines, which actually looks pretty fun. The banchan selection was large, but honestly one of the weakest I've had. The soy crab tasted like something pre-packaged, and one of the pancake sides was served cold. We ordered a combo with three types of pork and chose the aged option since it was the same price as regular. Each portion came out to over $30, which felt expensive. After trying both, I couldn't really tell the difference between aged and regular. The meat quality itself was fine, just no noticeable "aged" improvement in flavor or tenderness. We also ordered the ramen fried rice. It took a long time and we had to ask about it. It was served in a Shin Ramyun bucket and then poured out, and visually it looked like leftover rice mixed with over-soaked noodles. The flavor was pretty average. Overall, aside from the atmosphere, the pricing feels high for what you get and the experience was disappointing for the cost.

The moment you enter, you feel transported back in time in Korea. The decoration is so unique and fun. They even have arcade games you can play for free. There was a short wait, but they quickly seated us and took our order. We ordered the pork jowl and pork belly, and it comes with so many side dishes! The pork meat was fried for us to perfection and I can say, it was one of the best Korean pork BBQ places I've ever been to. Highly recommend to try to place if you are craving pork and have a good time!

@foodie_starry Each BBQ order comes with a grand set of sides - 15 in total! Plus, you get kimchi soup, steamed egg, and rice cakes, which alone make the trip worthwhile. The kimchi soup here is the best I've tasted in any Korean restaurant - absolutely a must-try! Here's what we had: Beef Brisket ($36) - Tender and flavorful, just perfect. Dry Aged Pork ($34) - A bit on the fatty side for me, but the staff's favorite. Roast Duck ($80) - A rare find in Korean spots, served as half a duck spread over two large plates. The lean parts were delicious, although the soup that came with it didn't hit the mark compared to traditional Peking duck soup. Bibim Makguksu ($14) - Today's star! This cold noodle dish competes closely with the free kimchi soup for the top spot with its perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Nagji Stir Fry ($22) - This spicy octopus was a bit tough, making it the least favorite. Ended up turning it into a cheesy kimchi fried rice at home which was delicious! The new restaurant boasts stylish decor and a roadside diner vibe with private booth-like seating. There's a game machine that kids will love, and they even offer free snacks from a Korean mini-market--each person gets to pick one! Note: The menu explanations could be clearer, and some staff members struggle with English, which might make communication a bit tricky. The restaurant is on the second floor with no sign downstairs, so be careful not to miss it.

We went on a Sunday night. It had a great 1970s Korean vibe. We were seated immediately and the service was quick once we placed our order: Dry-aged pork - my favorite. It was tender and delicious Pork jowl - chewy and great with the many sides Pork collar - good There were 18 side dishes, the egg soufflé was my favorite. The chef also made us a ramen/noodle dish (chapagetti) with pork. That was my best friend's favorite. We had a great time and the food was good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The chef came out to check on us. We would come again!

The meat was fresh and tender, and grilled up beautifully alongside some mushrooms, garlic, and daikon on the tabletop grill. Loved that they threw in fresh herbs (rosemary/thyme) on the meat too -- nice touch. Banchan was plentiful and kept coming, so you're never short on sides. For dipping, you get a choice of garlic scallion sauce, soybean paste (ssamjang), or just salt -- all solid options depending on what you're grilling. Service was attentive and quick to help with the grill and refills without being intrusive. The restaurant has a big dedicated parking lot, which made getting in and out so much easier. Their menu has a variety of different options and our favorites that we tried tonight was the LA galbi , beef brisket, & finger galbi (boneless galbi). I also liked the banchan & salad sides to pair w/ the meats. What wasn't so good was the service. When we arrived to the restaurant and got a table, we were only one of two tables & waited 10 min before we got ahold of someone to order. After ordering, it was pretty difficult to get one of the staff to put in another order of meats, replenish sauces, and some of our food didn't come. For example, we ordered fried calamari & we ended up asking about the status of the fried calamari 4 times lol... eventually came at the END of our meal & mind you, we had ordered another round of meats already & those had came within minutes + the calamari came AFTER we were done grilling everything. Not to mention, for 3 pieces of calamari haha. The service was iffy because we were waving for a staff member to order and just got ignored, luckily we were in no rush to be anywhere. ALSO, if you are planning to bring children, note that no matter how old or how young your kids are, they will be subject to be charged the same $ as an adult. $40/pp for dinner. We had 5 people total, 4 adults 1 child & total was $213 after tax, before tip. So with all this being said in my review, if you're looking for solid AYCE KBBQ, look no further BUT be aware that the service is not the best. AND, they offer sushi here which may seem tempting but I do not recommend. Not very good and looked like supermarket sushi. Just come for bbq meats. Parking: they have a parking lot in the back!

I'm personally no expert in Korean restaurants, but I'm usually around folks that are, and this is a solid to above average place based on my experience and their opinions having gotten a variety of dishes (Pajun Uguji Tang, Galbi Stone Pot Rice). Our banchan also was delicious. They even had the spicy squid here, which I hear and personally have experienced to be pretty uncommon due to its niceness, so that elevated my opinion of this place already that they not only served it, but also refilled it for us when asked! The Korean side dishes were so fresh and tasty. It didn't taste or feel like it was going bad and still being served. Either I came on a good day or the food is just amazingly tasty and fresh. I also really enjoyed the cucumber scallion salad served as a side -- super refreshing and pair well with the meat. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The owner is friendly, and the overall vibe is very relaxed. They also serve beer and soju, which is a nice touch. The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review is the seasoning on the skewers -- I felt it could have used a bit more flavor. Also, while the electric grilling machine is convenient, it doesn't quite deliver that smoky taste you'd get from charcoal. That said, everything we tried was delicious, and I would definitely come back. Highly recommended for a flavorful and satisfying meal!
