A wonderful cup of coffee and ambience. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed the walk from the AC Marriott on the water. Lots of shopping close by.

Bard Coffee has exceptional espresso, smooth, creamy, and rich. I normally order a plain latte cause it's so tasty! They had a luring season cinnamon pecan latte that I absolutely had to order and it did not disappoint. Get it hot with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top, it's the perfect blend of sweet and spice!

They put ice in my nitro brew coffee. If I would have wanted iced coffee I would have ordered a cold brew. The guy told me it's a dollar extra to get it without ice! Their coffee and service was the worst. The easiest coffee to pour and they ruined it by not knowing how it's served and a cocky attitude on top! When asking google "Is nitro suppose to be served with ice?" No, ice is generally not added to nitro cold brew because it dilutes the drink, ruins the creamy foam, and interferes with the signature velvety texture created by the nitrogen gas infusion. Nitro cold brew is intended to be served chilled but without ice, allowing the natural smoothness and richness of the coffee to be fully experienced. Exactly and that is why I posed this review! Do better. :(

Bard's sausage roll (pastry?) takes up too much space in my brain. More savory pastries, please!! Pros: location, takeout window, offerings of nondairy milk, single stall bathroom Cons: small menu, slow service, usually impossible to find a spot to sit down, staff isn't always friendly, nondairy milk can taste meh

Coffee was great -- smooth and strong. Place has that "craft coffee" vibe, which is fine, but $17 for two small coffees still caught me off guard. Barista had that too-cool-for-school energy -- not rude, just a little snotty. As a Gen X'er, I'm here for caffeine, not a coffee dissertation. If you're into third-wave coffee culture, you'll love it. That said, it was the second-best coffee I've ever had, and the product is strong enough to keep it at 4 stars.

Coffee was just what I needed as my husband and I walked the cobbled stone streets of Portland to find our hotel.

We heard from various sources that Bard coffee was a solid cafe, this place seems to be very popular in portland! It's definitely quite good. They were so busy, there was a long line but service was fast and efficient. The cappuccino my bf got tasted great and my iced chai latte was very tasty as well. Recommend stopping in if you're in the area and thirsty. :)

Bard coffee quality will not disappoint. I ordered an oat milk cappuccino, it was very good. Parking wasn't too bad. I got a space right in front the first time I went. The 2nd time, I had to walk a bit. I just wish they offered a larger size coffee. I could have ordered 3 more. There was a homeless man sleeping inside and the bathroom smelled like someone very stinky had been bathing in there. That was interesting. Overall It is a nice little local coffee shop. Staff were ok friendly.

I ordered the summer special ube coffee. It was great! I spent the whole afternoon there reading my book as my flight was delayed. A good experience!

Miss walking through downtown Portland. Love the people and the great coffee shops like Bard. Easy to find and plenty of seating. Plus just next to a park area so go outside and enjoy the views. Great coffee s f awesome treats. Plus the staff is so darn friendly. Street parking is available and a parking garage around the corner if you want to take time and take a stroll and visit all the great shops nearby.

Perfect iced caramel latte- Just a little pricy in my opinion! Service was quick. There were 2 small tables outside and seating inside.

I liked it so much that I went twice in one day. With housemade syrups (maple, cocoa, vanilla, caramel, and honey), expert latte art, a banging soundtrack, and a staff with camaraderie, I spent a perfectly pleasant Sunday lounging about and enjoying drinks. There's bar-height seating, counter-height seating, and tables. The espresso profiles are textbook: long on the finish and not bitter. If you want a true coffee place in Portland, this is the one.

Walked in and the man behind the counter looked annoyed to be disturbed. I checked my watch, we were still 2 hours away from closing. I asked which chai they used and he said he didn't know just that it was not made in house. I took a chance and yuck. Pure sugar. No chai flavor or spice. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. For two beverages, including a simple hot green tea, I spent $13. I found that to be pricey for the quality of the beverages.

They advertise themselves as all day cafe/bar and market. The vibes were perfect with an overall cozy and welcoming feel. It seemed like a spot many regulars come to often as the workers appeared to know many people who came through! They have a bar with roughly 8 seats, along with some tables. With the back of the store having goodies to buy including candles, self-care items, wines, drinks, and more. Worth browsing before or after your drinks and food. We snagged two bar stools and were immediately greeted and served water along with a menu. All three staff members were friendly and made us feel welcome. Drink wise my wife got an iced mocha while I saw their drink special of the month on social media and had to try it. Named The Blue Rose with Butterfly pea flower, cardamom rose, whole milk, pebble ice and espresso on top. A photo-worthy beverage with a delicious flavor. Food wise my wife and I both got a breakfast sandwich, only difference she got bacon while I got the impossible sausage. Well made and delicious sandwiches that would make us return as well. I do wish they would have been a little bigger though. If our visit today was any indication of the typical my wife and I would gladly return! There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland.
