We've had breakfast at a different coffee shop every day we've been in town and today was no different! We had seen Arabica when we were roaming around one day. Since today is our last day in Portland, today was the day. It's cold and grey and rainy. Walking into the coffee shop was nice and warm and welcoming. We were greeted enthusiastically by the person taking our order. We each ordered a latte (the lavender honey was yum), my husband got a slice of quiche and I got a delicious blueberry lemon scone. I usually eat some protein for breakfast, but this was calling my name! If we're ever back in town, we know where to go!

(updating my review after going here quite a bit recently) the only thing that really stands out about arabica is the location and atmosphere. the natural light, plants, and plenty of seating options are great. however, as others have mentioned, the acoustics are strange and whatever you say echos across the room. the coffee itself is okay--never wows me nor disappoints. their matcha is bland. pastries are hit-or-miss, there's usually few left by mid-day anyway. the staff is super weird, often literally won't acknowledge you or say a single word to you while you're ordering. which is fine, but it's always just uncomfortable and cold. overall it's kinda sad to see arabica never improve despite how beautiful their space is!

Loved the warm welcoming environment. This seems like the perfect spot for a fall/winter hangout. Blueberry pancake latte was pretty good!

Cute coffee shop in downtown Old Port. Hard to find parking unless you work/live in the city. Very cute inside but typically always busy and loud. The drinks are typically very great! The service the last time I was there was not very friendly. Overall lots of coffee places to try in Portland and this isn't my favorite.

Sweet place to hangout and get work done. The maple oat latte is delicious but just a hair too sweet for me. I usually get an iced Milky Way which is basically chocolate milk w coffee.

When I heard #arabicacoffeeme made blueberry maple lattes, this was a immediate need where it needed to be quench and it was. On the outside this latte look liked any typical latte with a blue straw but once sipped it was delicious and satisfying with the blueberry syrup and swirled with maple syrup. It was so good that the finished this drink way too quickly. Inside of this coffee shop is welcoming with its like bright and airy windows and there are nooks inside for catching up with friends or remote/work .

This probably deserves slightly higher than 3 stars but there is so much coffee competition here in Portland, this simply wasn't a favorite. My coffee was a little watery. The space is pretty and made even more so with fresh flowers. There is seating but not a lot, enough to accommodate but if more people had come in while we were there it would've tough. Additionally some of the seating, a few steps up, and downstairs bathrooms make it inconvenient for physically challenged folks.

After spending two months in Portland for the summer and trying 10 different coffee spots for both their pastries and coffees, I have to say Arabica is top two in the list. For starters they have a great coffee selection sourced from coffee growers all over the world. The coffee is delicious by itself, but they have a variety of homemade syrups. I'm obsessed with their quiche and order it every time I stop by for coffee. The staff is very sweet and they have a nice space to sit and enjoy your food.

You think the perfect coffee shop doesn't exist? Walk into Arabica. You'll be met by a massive coffee tree (a real one!), plenty of seating and space to read a book or do some work, local magazines and newspapers (free!), and just the best vibes all around. I've been here dozens of times and they never disappoint. The coffee's great, the baristas are awesome, and their love for our Portland community is felt as soon as you walk in. Some of my favorite things about Arabica: - They have a huge amount of space inside, which is quite impressive as it looks somewhat small from the outside. - They close at 4:30pm, even in the coldest months of the year. I so appreciate that. - They have a rewards program. 1 free coffee for every 12 purchases. - Plenty of tables with outlets nearby, as well as couches and stools. Thank you for being such a gem in our community, Arabica. Love ya!

Nice place but $6.00 coffee cakes and $5.00 cookies. No thanks. I know costs are up especially in Portland but this is ridiculous.

Both my drip coffee and my husband's chai tea latte tasted "off". It may have been the barista, but it's hard to mess up drip coffee

"Your breath is sweet Your eyes are like two jewels in the…read moresky Your back is straight, your hair is smooth On the pillow where you lie One more cup of coffee for the road One more cup of coffee before I go" (Bob Dylan) Some of my friends gifted me with a basket of Maine goodies after we all served on a charity committee for a few years. In the basket was a 12-ounce bag of ground coffee from Maine's Katahdin Coffee Company. After a few cups, I realized I was drinking some of the very best coffee I ever had in my long coffee drinking life. It had been a very long time since we used ground coffee, because we converted to K Cups years ago (don't hassle me about the environment because we empty out and recycle all those plastic pods). We used one of those "make your own K Cup" plastic/mesh baskets that was banished to a kitchen cabinet for many years, scooped in a few spoonfuls of Katahdin and brewed it in our K Cup machine. My Katahdin coffee was a Medium/Dark variety known as "Baxter Blend". The flavor ran rings around everything else we have in the house. Yes, it was a zillion times better than what I normally drink. Katahdin is sold in quite a few Maine grocery stores and through their website. The website has offerings in 10-ounce, 12-ounce, and 2-lb bags, with choices of ground or whole bean across a few different flavors including Breakfast Blend, Breakfast Blend Decaf, Baxter Blend, French Roast, Maine Whoopie Pie, Hazelnut and Maine Blueberry Pie. Yes, we will be sending out a mail order as soon as we use up every last ground of coffee in that 12-ounce bag.

Unfortunately there are not alot of coffee places around Mount Roberts, especially none that were open at 3pm on a Thursday. So YELP to the rescue and what a sweet one it was! Lucas Roasting Company is a small bisiness tucked away in Wolfboro. Pretty standard coffee drinks but #IYKYK - some of the best coffee comes from small roasting companies. I ended up with a delicous iced coffee and took some canned nitro back with me to CT. This year - again we hiked up (and down) Mount Roberts but this year it was H O T - so it was a no brainer where to head to for some caffine and cooling off. This year I met who I think was one of the owners who gave me the origin story (they are originally from VA) and told me that they have been open for a bit over 3 years. There was no cold brew in the cooler but this time it was a Nitro Cold Brew that was ordered and consumed before we made it back to our lodgings. I wish they were closer but it's good to know that they are "just down the road" from my yearly hiking venue.

But I've always appreciated their delicious roasts! I had the opportunity to check out their open house in December and am so glad I braved the cold and snow to do so. I'm not entirely sure if they're open to the public normally, but part of me hopes they are (or would consider it at least two or four times a year). This is a beautiful space that should be celebrated and used as frequently as possible. We got to sample many different blends and actually watch coffee roast (which I had no idea was such a quick process - from white to yellow to tan to brown). Also, wanna talk about passionate, community-oriented people? The folks behind the Wicked Joe (and Bard) brand(s) definitely are; and they're intensely knowledgeable about coffee, too. What you don't know is that the entire Bard staff is trained thoroughly at this Wicked Joe locale on a set-up identical to one at the actual coffee shop. Each barista has to make every drink on the menu perfectly before they can serve you at Bard. My respect for that coffee shop multiplied by a thousand when I found that out!
