My check in nurse was very distracted, mumbled a lot while reading over my charts and pre op questionnaire, she also asked questions over and over again because she was so distracted that she couldn't remember if she had asked them already. I came here a few weeks ago because I was having severe vertigo while in New Hampshire and the walk in clinic I was at a few days prior told me to go to an Emergency Room in a few days if symptoms remained or had gotten worse. I came here at around 9AM on a Thursday and the lobby was completely dead when I came in. I was able to check in, get a private room, and start speaking with the nurses pretty fast. In my first two hours at the hospital I was hooked up to an IV, drew blood, had all my basic tests taken, and even went in to get a cat scan. The nurses were extremely friendly throughout my visit and I have zero complaints about the first few hours. Once I was done getting a cat scan, I was sent back to my room and that's where I sat with zero communication, zero water, and zero updates for three hours as I sat dizzy in a room. Once 2:30PM rolled around, the doctor finally entered the room and was not very friendly at all. She would say a couple of things and whenever I tried to respond for clarification she would just got irritated and cut me off, making it kind of hard to actually process what was going on or fully understand. Once she finished talking, she basically just left and I was back to being alone waiting for a nurse who I was able to ask a few questions to and get actual clarification. Overall, my visit to Frisbie Memorial Hospital left a pretty 50/50 taste in my mouth. The doctor wasn't very friendly and insisted multiple times that the most important thing I could do was stay hydrated even though I was left without water for the last 6 hours, so who knows. The hospital itself was fairly clean, the nurses were friendly when dealing with me, and even though my experience wasn't ideal, this is the main hospital for the area since medical centers aren't exactly all over the place in New Hampshire. My only recommendation is for the doctors to be a little more helpful when talking to people with Autism, because that one interaction ruined an entire week for me.

Following the ER treatment, when my spouse was admitted, we were given a quiet, private room--a comfort that made a huge difference during a stressful time. The attending physicians were great listeners who provided clear, reassuring answers and treatment plans. Every nurse and allied health professional we encountered was exemplary. Nothing broken, then sent me to the cardiology dept at the hospital for an ultrasound to make sure I didn't have any blood clots. No further instructions. I went to the hospital. No blood clots. No further instructions. It has been like living in hell since. This is Nov and my leg still hurts. Have had several visits but no mri till the end of October. I'm glad I don't have any heart disease. I'd be dead by now. The clinic people were fast and efficient and friendly but left me hanging. I was glad to find out I had no blood clots. Long story about delays, further testing and incompetence. I will be having KNEE REPLACEMENT in February, 2026!

The Wells lab could not find my husbands orders. Fine things happen. So we called the two doctors…read moreoffices who had ordered them and they assured us they were in the system and the Kittery lab could see them and said they would call Wells. The only issue is Wells does not answer their phone, no matter how often you call. After refusing to take any outside calls and complaining about faxes coming through, we pulled the plug and drove to Kittery who's lab staff were great. So if you take anything away from this go to Kittery instead or take hard copies of your orders.

Went to ED with a family member who had appendicitis symptoms. A CT was completed that indicated…read morefluid in the lower abdomen but the appendix was not 'visualized'. They discharged the family member only to have them return in less than 12 hours where an ultra sound was the performed indicating a ruptured appendix that was necrotic and leaking fluid. Surgery was performed and an almost 7 day stay was required. These are the cliff notes of the events. Much more could be written but trips details are no less important to the story but not necessary to share to get the point across that PRH ED dropped the ball. Recovery included an almost weeks stay in the room in the pictures below. Do better PRH.

The WORST experience in my life!! My husband and I were in a motorcycle accident. I had a head…read moreinjury (blood running down my head) and had to wait in the hallway for an hour for a CT scan. I was told that my husband's injuries were worse than mine so they gave him a CT scan first (he had bruised ribs!!)...and they put him in a room. WTF! They did not wipe off/clean the area on my head around the wound; just gave me stitches and was told to go home. What is wrong with these people?? After receiving CLEAR stitches on the side of my head (who uses clear stitches??) , they told me that I was "good to go home". They did not suggest staying overnight. They never gave me an xray on my arm (it turned out that it was fractured). I asked about a sling since my arm hurt. They looked at me with a blank look. My shoulder and knee were all scraped and bruised. These were not addressed. They never discussed aftercare with us...just gave us some paperwork and we were told to go home, with dried blood on my head. There were a lot of people in the waiting room, so I guess that they were more important than a bloody head injury. DO NOT EVER GO THERE !!!
