The staff is great and the patrons are equally good. Amazing food menu and monthly specials.

We ordered some pizza at a pizza place across the street and they said that it would take about 45 minutes. So we decided to stop in here for a cocktail while we waited. This is one of those 24 hour gambling bars, with machines built into the bar. Reading the menu, they have a 24 hour steak and eggs special 8 ounces in New York, potatoes, egg to order, and toast. I definitely would like to come back and try that. I mean it's only $10 I like the look and feel of this place. We ordered a fuzzy navel and a Long Island iced tea. Both drinks were perfect. We did put some money into the machine and gambled for a bit, and the machine was pretty good to us. I don't really gamble a lot. I'm not sure if they do it, but a lot of other places allow you to Gamble and get a free drink. The bar guy didn't offer this option. But the two drinks were only $14 and they were spot on so didn't really matter. A lot of the people at the bar were talking to each other. Seems like a nice group of locals. Bartender was friendly. It was very busy. Would definitely come back and try it again. I did get a players card. Just in case. read more

Just stopped in for an evening drink while waiting for our pizza to bake across the street. It was relatively quiet for 8 pm. The bartender took our drink order as soon as we walked in. Yorky's is a 24 hour pub serving alalcohol and food and you must be 21 to enter. There were video poker and gaming machines around part of the bar. No comfy lounge chairs just high bar stools. It's been awhile since I've been here even though I only live around the corner, and it's apparent that you still have the same chef/kitchen manager (no that's NOT a compliment) and he is still having the same issues as I used to have. We ordered a chef salad, cobb salad and an order of chicken fingers. Prices are fine, portions are very good but why does he CONSTANTLY over cook the chicken fingers?????? I've heard the excuses from this location before, that the oil needs to be changed BULL! He needs to just not over cook the damm things. I've had this issue multiple times, the few times he does cook them right, they are fantastic (but it's rare that he does and I'm tired of having them remade while I wait (it should be right the first time) Issue #2 Out of Avocado. WHY? Walmart is 1 block away, and smiths is just up the street 5 min. Have an incoming employee pick some up at some point during the day or when his relief comes in, he can go get some. If you fix these small constant issues, everything would be fine. I rave about the chicken fingers here, they are a great portion size, but it doesn't matter if they are BURNT! I don't mind the price, but like any customer, I expect quality for what I pay for. FYI, Kudos to the bartender Melanie, she is always great! read more

I've been coming here for quite a long time. This is the type of place where the patrons know each other and it feels like home. Brian is great. He truly takes care of people who patronize his bar. It's not often I can go to a place and have a kind-hearted guy like him have a conversation & make me feel welcome and make me feel good about patronizing his establishment. I've seen a couple reviews saying this is a dark & seedy bar vibe... but I was kind of curious about what they're all about one morning for brunch. I didn't find anything seedy about the inside. In fact, I liked the circular small vibe- the space is basically one room with a large wooden bar centered around the middle. I can see why people get the "cheers" vibe. I was surprised that it wasn't smoky, I warned my hubby that it might be smoky- nope, and actually really wasn't overwhelmingly smelling of smoke TBH. We came in to try their wonderfully priced brunches because we were sans our little guy, and to have a little day date in a bar that normally we wouldn't do (no one under 21). Ordered the biscuits 'n gravy, over medium eggs and the fella ordered the steak 'n eggs, medium on steak and eggs. Having been on a biscuits & gravy kick lately- these were better than the last 3 restaurants I've eaten at; there were good sized pieces of tasty sausage in the gravy and it was just right - not too thick, not too thin, sauce not broken. Eggs cooked perfect, biscuits were good. The steak was over-cooked, because it was thin cut- but the potatoes, eggs and the flavor of the steak were all good and plenty to fill up on. Our server was attentive and took care of anything we needed- she checked in and was on top of drinks or refills (I had a mimosa that was just fine) and I won a little money on video poker - it's my first time in 2017 playing- my partner and I played together, so that was fun. We had a decent breakfast under 20 bucks, and an entertaining time, too! BTW... they have ROOT BEER on tap, and after learning that they are affiliated with Ellis Island in town- it's probably home brewed and really good. Gotta wait 'til next time to find out. read more

I got some to go. I know it was hot when I left Yorkys because of all the condensation. I live kinda far so...lets just say things were a little soggy, user error, not their fault. Garlic bread was good but unspecial. Not very garlicky, more like grilled hoagie roll with butter, but I ate every last bite of it. **** STARS. But what do I know? I got a burger with Swiss and cheddar, hold the cheddar. The bartender forgot to add it and realized when he gave me my food and offered to remake it. I was hangry and didn't want to wait. I was just happy he realized it and warned me. The burger was fantastic. I am happy there wasn't cheddar after all. It was cooked as I ordered it. If I want a burger this is where I am going. *****STARS. I was super excited about Sweet Potato Tots. Sound amazing. One was was good, one tasted weird, one was was good, one was awful and so on. Very mushy. Maybe if I had them fresh at Yorkys they'd be crispier... I give them ***STARS. My cat does not beg for food, he has a penchant for potato things like French fries and Pringles. He's 18 years old so he knows what he likes, he ate four of the tots. And he has food in his bowl so he's not starving. He gives the tots ***** STARS. But what do I know? Burgers YES. The five of us stopped by yesterday with time to kill in the afternoon, all dressed up in our wedding clothes and waiting for our big event later in the afternoon. What a fabulous treat! While we played a little video poker, Bartender Brian treated us to some fantastic drinks accompanied by fried zucchini, chicken tenders, and the best wings in Las Vegas. I went to Yorky's because of a fish & chips review I had seen. This place did not disappoint... and at a good price to boot! As part of the "Village Pub" branding... they use their own craft beer (Ellis Island I think?) to batter up the nice pieces of Cod... deep-fried and then added to steak fries in a basket. Then to top that off, they make their very own unique (and REALLY GOOD) Tartar Sauce. It had been a really long (and not a very good) day for me... but after eating that AWESOME Fish & Chips basket, along with the friendliness of the bartenders, and a having drink or two...really made me feel better... as I just couldn't be upset long there! I started out all grumpy... but ended up chatting with the bartenders! Great job guys... I will be back for more Fish & Chips (at least once) before I have to leave town and head home! To begin, this was previously Village Pub. I have driven by this place hundreds of times over the past few years, and when the name changed to Yorky's, I had assumed it had been sold off to another owner. I like the old school vibe in Village Pubs, and I guess I just assumed another owner wouldn't have kept the same feel, so I dismissed it. Yesterday, I decided to stop just to check it out. 2 things surprised me: 1) It's the still part of Village Pubs. They removed the restaurant section and just kept the bar. 2) This place is one of the nicest little bars in town! The bar looks brand new, the decor is upscale pub and all fresh, brand new flat screens around the bar. I was very impressed. With that being said, I was immediately greeted by Mickey, the day shift bartender. Super nice! Got an ice cold Stella and thew some money into the Keno machine. Shift changed and Brian came on board. First thing he did was come over to introduce himself with a handshake. That's good bartending. I had dinner plans later, but I asked to see a menu anyway. They have a simple one sheet, two sided menu. Typical pub fare with a couple little surprises. Then I saw it...Fish & Chips! I was excited for a minute, but then remembered all the disappointments I've had with Fish & Chips in bars. I asked the bartender if they were any good, and, of course he said they were awesome. Still skeptical, I continued my Keno and transitioned back to my date, Stella. Just then, and older patron came in and she asked if she could get 2 orders of Fish & Chips to go. She looked over to me and said, "We get them all the time when we come, so I thought I'd just come pick some up tonight. They're so good!" It was as if the Gods had witnessed my dilemma and sent the silvery haired messenger to my aid! Needless to say, I didn't order them, but oh yes. I will be back. This particular location is nothing fabulous. It's a bar only, no longer has a separate restaurant section to get ready for smoke! My boyfriend is a smoker, so he enjoyed it, and I'm used it from being around him, though I'd ideally like to eat in a smoke free establishment. This bar is very dim and you can see how you would be able to spend hours and hours at the video poker machines, which is seems is exactly what most of the regular clientele here do. The menu is also more limited than Village Pub, probably as a direct result of it only being a bar now. The service from the bartenders was top notch! They kept both mine and my boyfriend's drinks full, made conversation but weren't overbearing at all, and gave recommendations that were appreciated, brief and not pushy. Completely perfect bar service! Both of us got the fish and chips because we both think that Village Pub (or Yorky's) does it best in the valley.. exempting the places that are charging +$16 or more for pub food. Not knocking those places, but for the price here at $9, you can't beat it. The batter is fluffy, you can taste the beer in it- heck, you can smell the beer in it! The fish they serve here is cod, and it comes simply with chips (steak fries, lightly seasoned), tartar sauce and lemon. I always feel bad afterwards because of all the grease. Physically! But not emotionally.. I never regret the fish and chips here! While the bar is 24/7, the kitchen is open from 7am-2am. Get your fishy fix here! read more
