Went to Yoshi Sushi on Wednesday first time. I hadn't had Sushi in while. New owners at this location and I kinda shied away. When I walked in I was greeted and asked if I was having AYCE? Me: Nope ... ‍I asked my waiter if the Itamae could make me something special -- I love letting chefs get creative. My waiter was super sweet and translated everything since the chef mostly spoke Japanese. I told them I like lemon and spice, and the chef checked my spice level using hand gestures, which honestly made the whole thing even more fun. He made a roll with lightly cooked fatty tuna, avocado, shrimp in the middle, and just enough heat to make me happy. It was so good I basically inhaled it. Treated myself to a small pineapple sake and had a great lunch overall. I'll definitely be going back. read more

Happy hour was all day, everyday for take out or 3 to 5pm and 7pm to close for dine in. Got the happy hour rainbow roll for $9.75. They ask if I wanted ginger and wasabi when I placed my order. Food took about 5 minutes to be ready. Seemed like they forgot the ginger and wasabi I requested. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious. It was a great price and I would come back again. This place was recommended by a friend. I'm not a big sushi person normally, but I've been trying it more and more. We ordered AYCE around 4:30pm on a Friday, the place is very clean and stylish. The staff was incredibly friendly, and present, but not in a way that's hover-y. We ordered a mix of 2-pieces and rolls, and it was honestly so good. So many pieces were just melting in your mouth, not to mention, the rolls are THICK. When we walked in we were told to choose where we wanted to be seated. The place is spacious and clean, very welcoming. We ordered the Monster and Lexus rolls along with the Yoshi Combo lunch special. They have multiple lunch and dinner specials. All the food was delicious and tasted fresh. The food was shared between my wife and I, and we both felt satisfied. So we started off visiting them when they were doing their soft lunch and to be quite honest, we were not impressed with the food. However, the service was 10 out of 10! So glad we went back again to try them one more time. Now that they have their full menu and bar open. Service is still a 10 out of 10. They treat their customers like true guests and make you feel so incredibly welcomed. We tried four items off the menu yesterday: 1. UFO appetizer - this was delicious. Very generous portion. Great for sharing and very creamy. Wonderful flavor. 2. Cherry blossom - this it's not something we usually would order, but we pleasantly surprised. This role had a really nice to fresh flavor. My only suggestion would be a sauce on the role something light and citrusy with a company it perfectly. 3. Crazy horse - this roll is so big. It could honestly be two rolls in one. What we liked about it was it had a real crab in it. We are not fans of imitation crab. 4. Sashimi salad - this was delicious. I will probably order this every time I come back. The dressing on the salad was lovely. Plenty of fresh fish and wonderful flavor. Be mindful that this comes with the dressing on it. So if you think you may not eat it, I'll ask for it on the side. I love it when you walk in. You also have the opportunity to sit wherever you'd like. The staff works very well together and making sure that you're taking care of. We've been coming to Yoshi since they opened, have always been impressed by the freshness of the food and the friendliness of the service. But tonight, the way outdid themselves. Went with extended family for my Dad's 100th birthday (yes, 100!). The food was incredible as always, and the chef threw in an off-menu items as a special bonus for Dad. As great as the food was, it was the service tonight that really was over the top. Every single person working there was great: friendly, helpful, going out of the way. We had a chance to meet one of the owners, and she was awesome. You can tell that she and her whole staff really pride themselves in offering the best sushi experience in Palmdale. I visited the Grand opening of a new sushi restaurant in Palmdale, Yoshi Sushi. This restaurant is located in a very busy shopping center, and so it may be difficult to find. But it is right across from Target and is next to Baskin N Robbin's ice cream. The restaurant has a very wide open dining area. It also has a separate dining area for large groups. As you enter into the restaurant, you will notice the sit down sushi bar. The staff greeted us and we were instructed to sit anywhere we liked. Luckily for us it was Happy Hour! Their Sushi menu had a good selection. We opted for the Lexus, Palmdale and Rainbow rolls. We liked the Lexus and Palmdale because these rolls had shrimp tempura in the center and it gave just the right amount of crunchy. What I did find to be unfortunate was the fact the seats had no cushions. So become prepared. read more

It's good, however can be better. Had light kick not strong but spiced blend. Con; Size! This is a very large size. Priority was packed in avocado and meat. Concerning when full mouth is overly consumed you can't taste the layers. Near the end however you can tell the separation of seaweed to rice. So glad there's finally an AYCE sushi place again in the AV! It's a little bit different from a normal all you can eat sushi but still totally worth it! So the way it works is you get two rounds off all you can eat. But even though it's only two rounds you can order as much as you want in each round as long as you finish all your food. There are about 5 rolls that are considered specialty rolls and you can only order one per person in the first round and the mussels you can only get two orders per person. Everything else you can order as much as you want! The quality of the seafood is really fresh and tasty. They give really large portions of fish and not too much rice on the nigiri which is good. Watch out for the rolls though, they'll creep up on you and you'll be full before you know it! The rules are tasty but you get full pretty quick. The restaurant itself is pretty nice, it's in the old Harbour Sushi location. The one thing I really like about this place though is that they don't force everyone at the table to do AYCE which is prefect since my wife and daughter only eat about a roll each while I can eat way more. If you want to do AYCE for about $40 try this place out! Totally worth it! read more

We've got our food over an hour ago, and the waitress hasn't checked on us ONCE. I had to stop her twice to ask for refills. When I asked for lemon, she asked if I wanted wedges or slices, when I asked for wedges, she said "OK well it's going to be a few minutes since I have to cut them" umm ok? I came here on a week day for lunch. It wasn't so busy. My sushi chef was Kobi (sp?) & he put so much effort into my vegetarian sushi lol. I wish I took pictures! He made me a literal cucumber roll with rice in the middle, sashimi but out of tofu, & fried tofu wrapped with seaweed on rice! It was so creative. My chicka and I went for a much needed girls day out for catching up. We did the all you can eat. And let me tell you we got our fill! The service was quick, kind, and impeccable. The rolls were fresh and literally swimming on our plate. We loved all our rolls. We did have 1 roll that came out really really hard to chew I simply sent it back and the server explained it was no problem. I really did try to eat it but I didn't want to break a tooth. First timer at this sushi restaurant and it wasn't the greatest. Entering the restaurant it had an bad smell. The service was good. But the rolls weren't the very best. Spicy garlic edamame felt & tasted too oily. There was hardly any "spice" to it. I believe they couldn't improve on that since it did taste like a butter garlic almost. I tried the wild zebra roll, it was good but felt as if it missing a sauce . More so spicy ponzu sauce to compliment the roll & give it much more flavor. Quick disclosure, we found out this place just recently opened and seemed more like a soft opening. They didnt have baked or fried options...yet. So we tried their handrolls and sushi/sashimi. In just a few words, Very Fresh, and their rolls are big! They are not stingy at all with the thick cuts of sashimi. We ordered their Hawaiian roll, wild zebra, salmon roll, California rolls, salmon sashimi and yellowtail sashimi. Every option was beautifully presented and equally delicious. I got the one for $23 which comes with: 1) a salad or miso soup 2) chicken teriyaki, gyoza, or baked mussels (choose 2), and then 3) 2 sushi rolls from a limited menu. My husband got the $27 special which has everything in the $23 special + 1 extra roll. We walked out of there STUFFED - it's so worth the price! Roll was completely falling apart due to amount of imitation crab. The sashimi wasn't fresh and smelled a bit off and again served with ridiculous amount of hard rice. One of the hand rolls that come with the boat, came with only imitation crab and cucumber (no other fish). And the other hand roll was made of spicy tuna which is another common filler. All the rolls are mainly crabmeat inside which is unfortunate, all you can eat is ok but the nigiri comes with a huge portion of rice under it. I have been here 3 times for the all you can eat and everytime the chefs have missed something on my order. They don't check it off as they go. You only get 2 rounds of all you can eat while other all you can eat sushi places give you 3 rounds. You are limited on the baked mussels as well. Staff is very friendly though. We ordered the AV Special which was ok and an order of Yellowtail Sashimi which was NOT even OK. The slice of fish were so thick and tough that even the waiter thought it was weird and said something to us when we complained.
