For those that are unfamiliar with Miami Spice during the month of August, this is exactly what restaurant owners and diners want from it. My daughter lives in Wynwood and uses August to uncover the next hidden gem. It is an intimate setting, with about 10 seats at the sushi counter. Another 3-4 cozy tables outside. The perfect spot for a Sunday dinner. Their Miami Spice menu was exceptional and one of the most generous we've ever had. The idea is to offer a wide array of menu items, in order to solicit a return trip to experience the full menu. Mission accomplished!! We had 4 appetizers, each better than the next. The kimchi cucumbers (Japanese pickles) kicked our palate in gear. Crispy rice tuna, hamach and salmon crude had the perfect ponzu style sauce and crispy rice dots for texture. Then came 2 different rolls, the spicy tuna was delicious, the yuzu hamachi stole the show. We were served a handroll that was not on the menu. Whatever it was, we wanted more. Already feeling gluttony creeping in, I still couldn't resist the salmon nigiri with ikura. The staff was amazing. They explained the menu and constantly asked for feedback, which we happily gave. I enjoyed an Orion Japanese lager and shared a bottle of unfiltered saki with my daughter. Both complimented the courses perfectly. We closed out the meal with 2 mochi ice cream selections. Such a hidden gem! I've shopped at Upper Buena Vista for years but never really walked around to the other side area, where I found this place. It's small but I loved that you can sit down and have a conversation with the chefs while they make your food. It seats about 8 inside and there's a patio area. The staff were so friendly. Thank you to Anthony for his recommendations and making an incredible meal! The rose I was served for happy hour was refreshing and paired well with my meal. Hapy hour is from 5-7. Great spot for a date night! Amazing service and truly delicious food. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. I really loved their sushi rolls and we also got a bowl. I was craving sushi for about a week and a friend had told me about Yoso so came in to check it out and I am so glad I did. Yoso is located in the Buena Vista area which I love. The inside of the restaurant is little but there is outdoor dining as well. The staff was polite and helpful and I loved that it is small inside because makes the experience more intimate. All the food was delicious. To start off we had the yellowtail crispy rice, which was one of my faves! My favorite of the maki rolls were the butter krab and the torched salmon. I got the spicy scallop hand roll and it was tasted refreshing with a kick. We had to try the seasonal burnt cheesecake (basque) which was yuzu and it was sooo yummy! My favorite sushi place in Miami, no competition! Yoso sushi is a small restaurant inside the biena vista shops, tucked into a corner by the juice bar. The inside is a small counter that seats maybe 6-8 people max. They also have outdoor tables but if you get there early, you'll never have a problem with seating. The food here is stellar. My top items are the dumplings (MUST GET) the yoso roll and the cheesecake is divine. I had to go back three times before I had the opportunity to try it because they would sell out! It is truly one of the best desserts in Miami!! Everything else is stellar, I've had so many of the dishes here (the menu is small) and it is the only sushi restaurant I crave time and time again. However, the sushi chef selection was not my favorite because the rice was pretty mushy and too much rice ratio for the Nigiri. The service on the other hand needs a lot of work. They are not friendly here and lack courtesy and some levels of professionalism. For being a food truck, the vibe of this place is way better than I expected. The whole experience was personal and delicious and VERY well priced for the amount of food you get. Multiple courses with a welcome drink and dessert included. They also have sake you can purchase which is delicious as well. This is some of the best quality fish I've ever had in miami and a spot that I will continue to come back to and bring friends/family. The truck is a sparkling clean food is super fresh and the prices are as fair as you can get $13 for each of the rolls, they also offer nigiri. Poke bowls etc. we got the chicken fried rice that I can honestly say is the best I've had: crunchy chicken, Orange segments, edamame, and some spicy mayo. Great portion and was light for a fried rice. I'd seen these guys at the Pegasus championship horse racing and understand they have a great following amongst the Miami food industry and personalities so we gave it a shot.
