I was craving sushi for about a week and a friend had told me about Yoso so came in to check it out and I am so glad I did. Yoso is located in the Buena Vista area which I love. The inside of the restaurant is little but there is outdoor dining as well. The staff was polite and helpful and I loved that it is small inside because makes the experience more intimate. All the food was delicious. To start off we had the yellowtail crispy rice, which was one of my faves! My favorite of the maki rolls were the butter krab and the torched salmon. I got the spicy scallop hand roll and it was tasted refreshing with a kick. We had to try the seasonal burnt cheesecake (basque) which was yuzu and it was sooo yummy! We had a great time and I will definitely be back soon!

My favorite sushi place in Miami, no competition! Yoso sushi is a small restaurant inside the biena vista shops, tucked into a corner by the juice bar. The inside is a small counter that seats maybe 6-8 people max. They also have outdoor tables but if you get there early, you'll never have a problem with seating. The food here is stellar. My top items are the dumplings (MUST GET) the yoso roll and the cheesecake is divine. I had to go back three times before I had the opportunity to try it because they would sell out! It is truly one of the best desserts in Miami!! Everything else is stellar, I've had so many of the dishes here (the menu is small) and it is the only sushi restaurant I crave time and time again. Do yourself a favor and take your self for a loved one on a date here, you'll be instantly obsessed

small cozy sushi place in upper Buena Vista. Super cute ambience very relaxed very laid-back. The server was very nice and attentive, even though he was just by himself handling multiple tables at the same time , he was doing his best. The food was good. I think the butter crab roll was the best one I've had in a long time and the warm arugula Mushroom salad was absolutely incredible. However, the sushi chef selection was not my favorite because the rice was pretty mushy and too much rice ratio for the Nigiri. I would come back to try other dishes, but definitely not going the nigiri since I don't really like the rice at all.

Hands down, the BEST sushi spot in Miami!I've tried countless others, but Yoso Sushi's authenticity, cleanliness, and insane quality have won me over! The service has always been Top-notch! Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable making us feel like family. And don't even get me started on their refreshing lemonade and yummy sake. I'm a loyal customer and recommend this to all my friends!

I had a great experience at Yoso Sushi located at Upper Buena Vista. The place is adorable and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is super friendly, fun, and accommodating. Most importantly, the sushi is fresh, well prepared, and reasonably priced. I had a toro special with yuzu and truffle, also a chirashi bowl with fresh tuna, salmon, and hamachi with an arugula base and wakame. I also had torched Hokkaido scallop sashimi with a shiso leaf. Everything was excellent, accompanied by Orion Japanese Beer. Will definitely return.

    Vegan roll and baked avocado

While visiting the design district we strolled by the Yoso Sushi food truck and decided we could do with some lunch. I ordered the grilled avocado for the honey and a vegan roll for myself. The honey also ended up ordering a cool lychee boba to wash it down. Hands down, everything was amazing! The grilled avocado was so unusual and delicious and I adored the vegan roll. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty and we loved that there was a ton of seating to choose from, both covered and uncovered, and the service was super friendly. We would absolutely stop in again, in a heartbeat!

We didn't have reservations but we were welcomed and even received the best seats in the house. Our server was Francisco, who has worked there a long time, was excellent! We chose the Oma Deluxe because we wanted the entire experience. Francisco explained each sushi and what part of the fish we were eating. Each dish was brought out separately. There were about 9 pieces of different cuts of fish. They were delicious! My daughter had Sake and I had Non-alcoholic beer. Both went fine with our meal. Afterwards, we were served dessert. What a great experience! Give it a try when you can. Later, we went upstairs to ASTRA restaurant and bar to further enjoy our evening with beautiful views of Miami. Parking is mostly limited street parking though, so plan ahead. This spot is more about curated tastings, sashimi, nigiri, and handrolls rather than specialty rolls, so don't expect a huge roll menu. We ordered the sashimi assortment, white fish tasting, seared salmon, bluefin tuna tasting, unagi foie gras, and a few handrolls including blue crab and negi toro. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, especially the bluefin and unagi foie gras. Portions are on the lighter side though, so we left satisfied but not totally full. Cedrick was awesome and really made the experience better. He knew the menu inside and out and explained everything perfectly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Wynwood and want quality sushi without the overly trendy vibe.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance and location created the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The food truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Miso Black Cod -- it was phenomenal and had the same rich, buttery texture as Chilean sea bass. Absolutely delicious. The Wagyu Burger was also outstanding -- freshly ground, high quality, and cooked perfectly. We also tried one of their sushi rolls topped with miso and filled with fresh tuna and salmon, and it was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Our server (I didn't catch her name -- an Asian woman, possibly in her 40s) was wonderful and made our experience even more enjoyable with her attentive and warm service. We truly loved this place and are already looking forward to coming back, especially to explore more of their sushi menu. Highly recommend!

They need to be a good sushi place to survive in this area but again like most places in the area charge 20% gratuity. This makes employees feel entitled and lose motivation to give good service. These are subsidies for the company to pay employees. The ambiance is actually good for this area. I would give 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable or if they actually had spectacular food. We got there a bit before our reservation time, and they let us sit in the smaller dining area as we waited for our spots to open up. Most memorable were the clam broth, beef loin and carrots, and the fatty tuna nigiri with caviar on top. The fatty tuna nigiri with caviar was the main reason I wanted the tasting! The hovering over people in this tiny, little whole in the wall restaurant felt overwhelming. I started to lose my patience being that there is so much staff standing around and found myself several times having to pour my own wine bottle. 2nd, I told them it was my son's birthday and nobody went out of their way to make his birthday special! I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. Those dishes weren't bad they just weren't what I expected. We don't live in the area so if we were to stay in this hotel again, we would definitely dine here again.
