They were extremely professional and thorough over the phone - I appreciated that they were detailed in having a video phone call to assess how many items we had and give us a quote of how long the move would take. They quoted us 6 hours initially. Even though their services were slightly pricier than others, they definitely made me feel more comfortable going with them compared to other movers in the area. On the day of the move, they called me ahead of time to confirm I want the move that day given that it was raining. They were flexible in moving an hour ahead until the rain was done. Titus, Jesse, and Austin were FANTASTIC!!! They arrived on time, carefully protected all our furniture, and a large OLED TV. Everything was moved smoothly, and nothing was damaged. This company moved my home about 2 weeks ago and they were terrible. I'm still sorting boxes. Labels weren't put on the boxes. I found shoes and my blender mixed in in one box. They didn't properly tape boxes and a few tore. It was over 3000$ for them to move me and it was fine so sloppily that I could've saved a lot of money going with people off the street. The workers were very nice but they didn't pack well at all. I'm having to hire someone to help me unpack and organize due to the careless way they packed all of my belongings. I cannot in good conscience recommend "You Move Me Cincinnati" to you. They took almost double the amount of time to move me as estimated because I feel the salesman low balled the estimate to make a sale. They want to get you that low estimate to get your business. They estimated $539 and then came at me with $811. I told representative "Dakota" that this was unreasonable, considering they dropped three dollys of my boxes. None were strapped down or secured. Dollys stacked with six big boxes etc. The movers could have called for someone else is what I'm told, for additional help instead of taking five hours. But did not. He offered 15% off and I said that was unreasonable. He then offered an additional $100 off. They did not credit the 15% off and have told me that I Chose the 100 instead. Why would I do that considering 15% of $811 is more than $100? More importantly why would they knowingly offer a second benefit worth less than the first and ask me to choose? Was it an honest mistake or were they trying to play me for an idiot? These people may scam you. Their five star review may be padded with fake reviews. $539 estimate. Final Bill before discounts I argued for was $1,097. Imagine that is your move. I repeat this, do not use them. Update: Through debate with management, they have credited me both the 15% and the $100. But it should be noted they did not do-so under agreement they had been at fault for the planning or cost of the move. Only because of dropping three dolly's worth of boxes. The movers, though they did make mistakes, were exceedingly pleasant for the most part. UPDATE: The broke a 120 year old violin by dropping boxes. Their "coverage" is $0.60 per pound of broken items. Astonishingly terrible customer service. some of my items were stolen during a move. a Young teen named Tim was the last to see a box worth well over $1000.00 and the company has been converting it up. Every person that picked up a call at corporate either hung the phone up on me or was rude. It took 1 month of calling to get a response. They did come back to put mattress covers on and stepped all over the mattress and left boot prints and replaced a vacuum sealed mattress bag with non vacuum sealed bags. Marlon did try to give me back the money I had paid for the move then declined that offer then only offered it again in exchange for removing my reviews from sites online. We had contacted another company, Clark & Sons, who claimed to be a Christian family company, yet walked off the job and were overcharging, anyway. My appointment was set for 8:30 a.m. The general manager Matt or his assistant Amanda never called me to tell me why they was late. I had to call the 800 number to get them to call Matt because he wouldn't answer his phone. Then found out from the movers my charges for the move went up an extra $263 from the original price quote from Matt. Matt the refused to call me or talk to me regarding the problems that was taken place. Only thing Matt and Amanda offer for the inconvenience was $100 discount from the wrong that did not agree on. Oh one more thing Matt asked for $130 upfront before the move. I never heard of a moving company asking for money upfront before the move. I hired You Move Me to move my boyfriend's furniture to our apartment. They arrived within the given time frame (they gave me an 8:00-10:00 a.m. window and arrived at 9:30) and were all wearing clean uniforms. The guys (Matt, Rayshawn, and Deuce) were very polite and professional. They wrapped all of the furniture in blankets and shrink wrap and were very careful to note any existing scratches and to not make new ones. I had arranged for them to drop some of the furniture off at a storage facility, which they did with no problem. The sofa was a pain in the neck to get through the storage facility doors, but Deuce managed a trick somehow and got it in with no damage. We were all amazed! I highly recommend this company, and this team in particular. The interactions I had with folks on the phone leading up to moving day were very polite and helpful and all of the information that I relayed to the folks on the phone made it to the guys doing the actual moving. The moving team was polite and friendly. They're pricey, but honestly, you get what you pay for. I had no problem dropping the money for this service. Today used their service in moving 1.5 miles. They never did any physical estimation and based on main items given some min max value for 2-3 hours. Their workers are very very slow and one worker was on phone 80 percent of time. It was clearly visible that killing time, like discussion on each item. After finish they started asking lot of extra money. Couple of small boxes considered as extra items. Workers stop to take gas, drinks and killing 30 minutes also considered in time. Still transfer is done in exactly 3 hours, which i was ready to pay but couple of extra boxes for clothes and shoes considered as extra items. Moving sucks- no one wants to do it. Even if you pay movers, it's stressful, costly, time consuming and humans are involved so there is always a chance for error. Nonetheless, it's a necessary evil and all you can do is hope for the best. These guys packed and moved us back in June (unfortunately it's been so long that I can't remember their names. This makes me sad because I'd love to mention them all by name!). We were in an interesting spot where our move dates were up in the air and a bit dramatic; You Move Me worked really hard to fit us in in our limited and last minute availability. We would have been screwed without this unexpected effort! The packing and moving took way longer than anticipated due to the amount of stuff we had (and number of staircases) but through it all the guys were friendly, in good spirits and never complained or lost energy. There were a couple small mishaps but like I said above- human error is always a factor and this job just sucks in general. All the guys on the job were talkative and so nice and helpful; it really was a pleasure to not have awkwardness or creepiness or silence while grown men go through your house. They were all wonderful! Two things for people who need to move: 1- I would definitely recommend this company and am thankful for our experience. 2- be kind, patient and prepared to tip. Yes, it's their job and they're getting paid, but manual labor is freaking hard and exhausting. It doesn't matter that they signed up for this, it's hard and often thankless. I used this company two and a half years ago and they ROCKED! Now we built a new beautiful home and they were the first people I called. Sadly they let me down. They came to my condo and broke my dresser (they repaired it) and then put a huge hole in the wall. Then they proceeded to tell my husband that there was already damage to that wall anyway (from where we hung photos and patched those holes). Matt the GM came out to asses damages and while doing that they stood around for nearly 40 mins wasting time. I had moved all the boxes before hand so all they had was two bedrooms a dining table and washer/dryer. After they broke the dresser they took it to their shop and said we would have it back Monday and they would work with my schedule for the inconvenience. Well when Monday came they said they wouldn't deliver it because it was too late and too far of a drive. That pissed me off. I didn't break the dresser your crew did and I didn't promise delivery around my schedule YOU did! Best part is when it came down to paying they charged me for 4 men that I didn't even request and they took nearly 5 hours to move that little bit of furniture! Oh and not to mention they didn't put my king bed together correctly so when my husband and I moved it into place it fell apart and the headboard smashed into my NEWLY PAINTED WALL and put a golf ball sized hole in the wall. Matt then seemed to play down the whole thing like it wasn't a big deal. I recommended this company to a coworker and she also had a bad experience and I feel SO bad I recommended such sloppy lazy work. The thought of moving to a retirement community was so scary for my parents. They had priceless antique furniture that has been in the family for generations. Marlon was so positive and calming. He arrived on time with one other man, and they were fast! We only needed to move half of the furniture since parents were downsizing. Marlon took note of which items were going and which were not. He never had to ask again. He remembered everything. They padded every piece of furniture and wrapped them with plastic wrap. All items arrived undamaged. The stress leading up to the move was totally gone by the time I paid the bill at the end. They were so fast and competent that it took less time, hence less money, than quoted. One of the worst moving experiences I've had in my adult life. My wife and I were given a window between 12:00pm-2:00pm to be home and waiting for our truck. We both took time off of work, paid time I might add to be home during this window. We received a call at 2:15pm that the truck was 50 minutes away, only after we called the national office at 1:45 for a status update. The move wasn't complete till 7:00pm that evening and we moved four miles away from our apartment. When I called to open a case file and complain, the local operations manager called and said he'd have to discipline "his guys" and that they'd "take better care of us next time." I just moved into a new house - it could be 20 years before I have to move again! The incompetence and indifference shown by local and national leadership is truly remarkable. When they finally arrived, they started packing us up to move the next day. Problem is they packed our alarm clock and telephone so we had to unpack until we found these things. When they moved us, they buried my medications in the back of a closet wwith tons of boxes in front and threw hundreds of empty hangers on the bed so my wife had to sleep on the couch and I in a chair. They neglected to pack and bring several items and made no offer to replace them after several complaints to Matt via email after they didn't return phone calls. The was no comparison. You Move Me was on time, efficient​ and careful of our belongings. AT the Unload, Simple Moving Labor was late, unprofessional and left our belongings stacked in a pile. There was also some minor damage but​ that was limited because​​ of the great job of padding and wrapping done by the You Move Me Team. I was confident in this company after I met the salesman and he gave me a decent quote. Still confident when they showed up on time. I fed them lunch and got them drinks. But as the day went on it went downhill. They could not get my refrigerator out. Had to make a call and figure out how to take off the handle. (My furniture is in storage. I hope I find the handle when unloading) Took my treadmill apart. They did not know they could just fold it up. (I hope I can find the parts when it comes out of storage) Had a juke box to move, which I knew might do some damage to walls. However, they damaged every wall on the way out of the basement. Not too mention the big divots they put in the custom floor. Drug furniture over my wood floors leaving big scratches. Dinged up every door frame including bedrooms, office and front door. Forgot to put the bags over my mattresses and box springs and did not use the TV boxes I provided. ( I showed them the bags and boxes in each bedroom) After they left I found the leg of one of my couches laying in the living room. They left garbage all over my house. I have pictures of all this and called the salesman. He gave me a song and dance about how he was on vacation the first week, had to cover for someone else the next week, and I cannot even remember the excuse for the third week. I did send the pictures. Now after a few months I figure I will not hear from them again. I think there were two main problems. No experienced supervision once they got to my house. And, in my opinion, they should have moved the large items in the morning instead of waiting until the end of the day when they were tired. It took 9 months to get a response to my review and still no response to a direct email. As you can see my the response he blames me for how things were packed and adding items to the move list. This is by far not my first move. The fact remains that I moved many items myself that were listed the day of the walk through hoping to help things go smoothly. My complaint was never with the two movers they sent (after quoting 3) it was about a 20' truck for all the items to be included. The move was due to a separation so leaving items behind did not help out the situation. Based on the response it furthers prove my point that you are better off spending your money with a more reputable and caring company. Every time I call I get a different excuse and they always say they are going to call me back. These movers took 22 of my moving blankets (about $25 each) from a storage pod and damaged furniture and walls. I was very good to them. Fed them lunch and gave them all a nice tip. My movers, Brandon & Jason, were such a team and the two of them worked in tandem quickly&perfectly though out the day. Due to the Coronavirus they had replacement movers come to do my move. I was moving from Cincinnati to Indianapolis and after receiving an estimate and talking to the owner they seemed like a good company to go with. On the day of the move one guy seemed helpful and the other guy acted like he didn't even want to be there. Everything seemed to be going well until we got Indianapolis and one of the mover showed me a broken spot on the headboard of my bed. He made some excuses about it being "ply" wood and not covering "ply" wood. He took a picture of the damage and said the owner would be get back to me about it. I have yet to hear anything from the owner about the incident. I have contacted other moving companies inquiring about ply wood damage and they said that just sounds like an excuse they made. My bed isn't cheaply made by any means and I haven't even had it for a year for it to be broken. I do not recommend this moving company at all. read more

A classic case of over-promise-under-deliver. Showed up late, and I had to call to make sure they were still coming (was told they'd be there by 8:15, did not show up until almost 9:30). Told me they'd call the day before, did not. Told me they'd call when on their way in the AM, they did not. Told me they'd bring coffee- they did not. Quoted 5 guys, showed up with 4. Told me they'd bring garment boxes for me to use, did not bring any- and subsequently did not move my clothes. Quoted me for moving treadmill, actual movers decided they could not move treadmill. Dragged my mattress through the truck and got it filthy dirty (after the email sent to me clearly stated to remove all linens from mattress and pack them). SEE PICS. Left several items in basement, as I did not get a final walk through - they had to come back on a 2nd trip due to poor packing of the truck, did not take all items we agreed on. Once they arrived at my new house, they only wanted to put items in garage, not the rooms they went into. All after I'd bought them lunch. Has been 25 days since move, still working to resolve mattress issue, elevated to corporate with no action. Because they showed up late, and were inefficient, they were not done by mid-afternoon as quoted, they finished around 6PM. Would not recommend. read more

Absolutely would NEVER recommend this company. Quote was for 5 movers, but due to "shortage" that day, 3 arrived. They worked very hard. After the unpacking, and trying to claim for damages, everything went to pieces. Three appointments made to review, three no shows for those appointments, and three no calls to re-schedule or excuse. Finally an outside furniture company was sent in which did a great job, however, there is still an outstanding matter of the $200 metal planter box that the truck backed up into. Trying to get anyone to respond with this company after they were hired is futile. Even trying to get their corporate office to call back is a joke. I used You Move Me for the first time on Oct 31, 2014. I was moving out of my parents' house to my first home (a condo) 30 minutes away. The morning of the move, a team of 3 men arrived on time/early. Super, super nice guys, and very hard working! My parents and I had done most of the work ourselves (packing and labeling boxes, breaking down bedroom furniture the night before the move, etc.). So when the movers arrived, they were shocked and happy that the job was going to be so easy and effortless. I had already moved all of the fragile/valuable items myself that I wouldn't entrust to movers, so I wasn't too worried about my other stuff. They had the van packed in 30 minutes, moved my old bedroom furniture carefully, making sure it was covered with blankets, etc. in the truck. Once packed, they headed to the new location, and arrived before we did. They unloaded the truck quickly and asked me where I wanted all of the bedroom furniture laid out. They even asked if I needed it reassembled, which I declined because it was so easy to take apart and put back together. I was able to use a $50 coupon that I found in a Valpak envelope and they gave me a houseplant as a housewarming gift. :) The entire move took 2 hours, only because my dad and I were delayed in driving to the condo due to a flat tire and weren't able to meet the movers to open the door for them when they arrived, causing them to wait.
