The new location opened up today. The workout area is spectacular. It's spacious and well laid out. As nice as the workout area is, I was extremely disappointed with the shower and locker facilities. The lockers are outside the bathroom in the gym itself. There is nowhere change you clothes. The showers are very small and cramped there is no place to even sit down in the shower room. If you like to shower at at the gym after your workout, I would not recommend this gym. read more

I am a senior citizen and with my benefits I get Silver Sneakers for free. I went into Youfit gym in Davie, Florida on State Road and while I was at the gym, they told me that I needed a personal trainer to enjoy the benefits of the gym. I didn't understand why this was mandatory but they said I had to pay $120 a month. When I saw this on my bank app, I went to the gym and asked why it was charged and I was told (I'm putting exactly what I was told) "Why did you sign it then?" I have since been into the gym and tried to get it straightened out and have tried by email to cancel my membership to no avail. I keep getting told that I have to do a "buyout" for the trainer, which I refuse to do. I just think that they took advantage of me, and my son, who goes to another gym, told me the same thing and told me to call the bank and dispute the payment. I just think that this is reprehensible that they try to take advantage of senior citizens. read more

So I decided to give YouFit a second chance after Covid. I went back to sign up, and now they are trying to hid a $48 junk fee of $3.95/ month "convenience fee" for using a credit card to pay. The website says no money down, $23.99/ month. This should come out to $287.20. Instead, you still have to pay $59 annually plus the "convenience fee". All told, a $287.20 annual fee will cost you $393.60. read more

I've been waiting to write this review because I wanted to come here at different times and give an honest review of the facility, people, cleanliness, etc. I originally came here a month ago exactly, no appointment. Just walked in and was immediately greeted by David B. He was so excited about the gym, he walked me around, showed me the entire facility (except the ladies restrooms, of course) and did not pressure me at all to sign up. David loves his job and it shows. He is a wonderful asset to this gym. His enthusiasm was contagious enough for me to want to sign up. And, I do not regret it one bit!!! I've been here at 5am, 6am, 7pm, 9pm on weekdays and mornings on weekends. Every single time I am here, I am greeted by a smile and when I leave it is the same, even at 5AM!!!. It does not matter who is there. You are not a membership, you are a person here. This is the nicest friendliest gym. That is why I enjoy coming here. It is such a good vibe from the moment you walk in. As well as the facility. It is clean, every weight is in its place, there are always cleaning supplies. I've seen the staff always checking to make sure they are stocked up with paper towels, hand sanitizer and cleaning spray. That is extremely important to me. I mean who wants a Staph Infection, I sure don't! Also, you cannot go wrong with the $10. Smaller than the one near Weston but it's surprisingly better. It seems that this place is not as congested as the other and I haven't had trouble with having to wait on the machines. Staff is super friendly and my friend even had a personal trainer give him a couple of classes here. He said he was very professional and he helped him create a regimen so eventually he didn't even need the trainer anymore. It's awkwardly in a shopping plaza but for some reason this location is my favorite of the nearby YouFits. Another great perk of this chain of gyms in general is that if you go with a friend regularly, your better off getting one membership and using the guest privileges to save money. Youfit was a great gym for me when I started working out. Generally good atmosphere and the staff were personable. However, they recently screwed me over and I will never go back again. During the period when they were closed due to COVID-19 I tried to call and cancel my account multiple times. Instead, I was met with an automated message and 4 months of membership fees. The first day they opened back up I woke up early to go over there and cancel my membership once and for all. Before I even got out of my car, I checked my bank account and they had charged me again but this time, 3 times the amount of my monthly charge for an annual membership fee. My daughter signed up for this gym to get out and get in shape. Unfortunately the times she goes the gym is packed and she feels uncomfortable asking adults to leave the machines... I went in to cancel the membership and the young man at the front desk told me they were transiting into a new system of canceling and that they were no longer able to do it inhouse so I had to come back and speak with a manager. I came back and asked for a manager and they were in meetings. I came back a third time and spoke with a manager and she told me that they do not cancel memberships and that I must do it over the phone. My daughter has not been in the gym in 4 months after an altercation with an older man when she asked to use the bike he was just sitting on. So I called to cancel. Even though I explained the situation, called to speak with the GM who NEVER called me back, and had been trying to cancel for 3 weeks they STILL did not honor this and charged us for another month. They have ZERO customer service. Do yourself a favor and steer so far clear from this place!!! read more

I have been a member of this gym location pretty much since it opened almost 10 years ago. All in all it has been great. It is always clean and they have good weight equipment and good people working here. This isn't a power lifters gym but it is a step up from a Planet Fitness type gym regarding equipment for weight lifting. if you have any experience lifting weights and been to different gyms you will understand. They have a bunch of cardio, a good amount of free weights (dumbbells up to 90 lbs, I believe) and adjustable and fixed cables. A decent amount of weight machines. They recently renovated and added a large turf area with a sled and battle rope. Plenty of room for stretching, abdominal work, walking lunges, calisthenics, etc. After the Covid lockdown when the gym opened back it was still good but some of the clientele was getting sketchy. There were outside personal trainers working with clients in the gym. Some people were getting really obnoxious with their workouts, such as bringing in boots to hang upside down and do the same exercise you can do standing up. People wouldn't pick up or clean up after themselves. It was becoming an unwelcoming place. Again the employees were nice, hard working but they were understaffed and overwhelmed. I'm the last few months there was a change in management and they have done a wonderful job whipping the place into shape. The glaring issues have been taken care of and they have brought in more employees to maintain the gym. They have gone through with a " fine-tooth comb" and corrected a lot of issues. They have upgraded a lot of equipment that weren't bad at all but they have stepped up the standard. Keep up the great work! read more

This place is smaller than the other one I used to go to but it is sooo much cleaner and much less crowded. There are enough cardio machines if it is not rush hour but I imagine during peak times you might have to wait for a machine. The employees are extremely helpful and friendly. I wanted to downgrade my plan and at the Sunrise location, they told me there would be a charge to do so and the downgraded plan is $15/month. Here, they downgraded me for free and it is $10/month. Imagine my surprise. Was I getting scammed at the other place, not quite sure, but I feel more comfortable at this location. read more

YouFit on state road 84 in Davie, Fl is too hit. It is hard to work out there because it is so warm. I asked them to turn AC down and they said they can't. corporate controls. Asked for fans to be turned on and they were turned on to the lower setting meaning they were barely spinning. Also, TVs don't work well on cardio machines. read more

The Davie location is my FAVORITE Youfit location in Broward. Why? The employees are friendly but most importantly it's the CLEANEST location of them all. I've gone to 5 other locations and haven't seen the equipment wiped and vacuumed the way Youfit Davie is. Members do not wear masks while exercising- the gym is small and I find it hard to believe the air quality is that good. Yes, they do keep exercisers apart, but..... This is a e-mail I just wrote corporate, the funny thing was I just opened my computer and received their survey request. Here it goes. How funny this is, I was getting ready to write a complaint to corporate and you have reach out to me first. My wife and I are very disappoint with the manager of this club Lazaro. He had sold us 15 personal training sessions, 5 sessions initially and then 10 more, this was for our son how was entering the Fire Academy. The second set was a hard sell from Lazaro and that it was a special price for because our son was joining the Fire Academy. We then, told him that our son more than likely could not use them all within the specified time frame. He responded and advise that he would extend the timing as needed. As predicted our son is not going to use them all by September 14th. We notified Lazaro and he said that he could not extend the sessions as promised and that he was sorry. What a crook and liar. You should be very careful with him, if he liars to his customers, he is certainly an untrustworthy employee. We have now canceled our sons membership and we are looking at canceling ours too. I will say that I have enjoyed being a member at your Davie club for 3 years, but I feel that we were taking advantage of, just to sell training sessions. I have been training at this Youfit for five years now and love this gym. I weighed 220 lbs when I started and weigh 170 now. I look and feel great. I started eating healthier and work out regularly. training at this gym totally changed my life. No one bothers you while you are working out. If you want to you can make so nice gym friends there. They have everything you need for beginners to people that have been training most of their lives. If you need help getting started there is a wonderful trainer, Anabel, she has worked there for years and will help you got off to a good start and learn how to work a routine to archive whatever your goals are. The gym is clean and all equipment is well maintained. Management and front desk staff are friendly and helpful. I listen to music while working on their free internet and really enjoy my workouts. Even though you gave them plenty of notice and they just took your monthly payment. I would not recommend YouFit. The staff was very attentive and accommodating, especially the nice young lady at the front desk( sorry but I didn't get her name)!! You are always greeted with a smile and all of your questions and and concerns are always taken care of. The gym is super clean and Victor the trainer is great so if you ever want some extra training he's the person to go to!! I really like this gym overall. Just getting around to writing a review now haha, but I've been a member for about 2 years now. My hubby got us both memberships as a bday present for me. To be honest, most gyms have an annual fee, or at least most that I've been signed up with (which is probably 4 or 5 different places). When my hubby signed up they informed him of the activation annual fee, and it was $10 a month for us both. Since we would go about 3-4 times a week (sometimes me more because I love gymming) that comes out to about $1 a day to go there and use their equipment. Not bad. Even when the price jumped to $15 a month, still a pretty good deal. A lot of 'class-based' workouts cost that per class, never mind per month. Generally I like to mix my gymming with a class based work out here and there within the month so I don't get bored. The gym is always clean, the people are generally friendly, and even when you go at 5-7pm (hot spot time due to ppl getting off of work), you will find plenty of machines to use, cardiovascular & resistance training wise. I also love how the machines are very new & mostly have tvs haha. I can get in a show or two without feeling like I've been a couch potato all day. I took away one star because sometimes they have 'lunk tactics' where they shame you for not coming in for a while lol. I heard them say to a few ppl: "hrm, nice to see you again, you haven't been here in over 130 days...". Maybe that causes some people to come more because of the associated guilt...but that would turn me off. read more

Even if you have a membership elsewhere, it's stupid not to workout at You Fit too considering the price. Even more importantly, the machines hit the muscles from completely different angle than the Hammer Machines and free weights at the other local gyms. I was amazed at how much I was hurting the first couple of weeks and I work out regularly. First off, I find the "one star" reviews to be funny as well as dishonest and I wasn't surprised to find they will find a way to plug their own gyms, LA Fitness and Club Fit. Especially funny is the fact that I had a membership to LA Fitness since the opened in '98 and Club Fit twice and they are each a lot worse with the tactics that they are accusing You Fit. I liked Club Fit as a gym and the personal were friendly and all but they were three times the price of You Fit and they pulled a nasty of insisting that they will only run my card for the sign up and just bill me monthly but ended up putting me on automatic draft which led to unexpected withdrawals that led to unexpected charges of over $200 dollars and their out-of-state finance company hounding us after we had to close out our bank account to end the loop. Their dishonesty cost me more than a year at You Fit. LA Fit while a LOT better than Bally's has bought out all of the local Bally's facilities, they are also over-priced for equipment that is so old that you can't even read the numbers on the weights. However, if a pool an jacuzzi are important to you, that is one thing that LA has over both of them. I just find them to be too expensive compared to alternatives these days. The reality about You Fit is that if you really know what you are doing, even the most serious lifter can workout there and the criticism of "scrawny" trainers applies to the other places as well. The other places only hire the cheapest instructors and they are more salesmen than instructors. This is just the reality of instruction found through businesses who overcharge for entry level (but over-hyped instructors) and see customers as numbers. It's stupid for one gym to make this criticism of another. You are not going to find the best instructors as employees of gyms. I have gone at 5:00 AM and they were there and even as friendly and joking. I have not encountered the long wait the Club Fit guy was trying to accuse. I also find if funny how angry he was that he assumes that everyone will freak out if he acted like those dumb-asses who love to put on a show with constipated yelling and dropping their weight as if they are lifting the world. If he is one of those morons and discourages other similar morons who act that way, than I consider that a BIG plus. BTW I am 6 ft 8 and max out most machines of all of the gyms because I have been lifting for decades including the legendary Vince's in Studio City, CA, Gold's. That is why I can see right through the BS. The only reason I only give them 4 out of 5 stars is that I didn't like it that we signed up with a deal that was pay only a $1 sign up fee today and one month for premium membership but they didn't point out that the REST of the sign up fee was going to be taken out of our account in 90 days. I will say that Club Fit has the best music of all of them and that's a severe weak spot for You Fit during those painful days when my bluetooth isn't working. I am not a big fan of the gay bar, teeny bopper EDM crap and find it poor for working out. Fortunately, they aren't too loud and have great screens on their cardio machines. I have ALWAYS found sign up fees to be a sign of a business you have to watch out for but Club Fit and LA Fit are a lot worse in that department. If you want a great price with friendly staff, convenient location and you know how to workout, this is the best deal. I wish Club Fit had been more honest and more competitively priced but the practically pushed me into You Fit and now I am glad they did. Greed is costing them customers because I am running into people at You Fit that I use to see at Club Fit and LA Fit so I can see why they feel a need to come on here to write fake bad reviews. read more

I contacted Youfit to cancel my membership due to the pandemic and was told there's a cancellation fee. Although I never heard of this before. I was understanding because it was bidden in my contract. What I was upset about about is the monthly fee I'm being charged for . I haven't been to the gym in months . I was never told that there had to be a 10 day cancellation in addition to the cancellation fee . The frustration is not only the hidden charges , it's the lack of transparency.
