Spent at least 20 mins today with a new employee trying to figure out how to use the system. She wouldn't let me do a trial membership because I'm not a local. But somehow, it was ok to sign me up for a full membership which she was trying to sell me (without a trial). Why would I sign up without a trial? So we tried to either upgrade my partner's membership to allow guests, or get me a paid guest pass. She spent most of the time calling and texting her manager about how to do steps on the computer to any of these steps. We eventually had to pay for a guest pass. When we finally got in: Gym is dirty Locker room is dirty No locks on lockers Equipment seats are shaky / unstable Not a lot of variety in machines. Only one targeting glutes! This experience easily convinced my partner to cancel and change gyms. read more

No wonder they are at 2.5 star rating. I moved 12 miles away, which takes me 30 minutes to get to the gym now even though there are half dozen gyms to where I moved. I still have to pay out four more months of the contract. You can easily sign up for the gym in their wonderful gym, but you have to call and send personal information like bank statements with the new address on it to them for them to get you out of the contract. Very unhappy and I will make sure I tell anyone that will listen. Keep up the good work maybe you can get a one point rating one day. read more

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Moving due to various reasons to a state where there is no YouFit gym in sight and they want way too much personal information for a membership cancellation. I do not recommend this gym at all. I moved unexpectedly and contacted them immediately to cancel my membership. I moved 38 minutes from the gym I signed up at. They wanted me to pay a large cancellation fee which isn't listed in my agreement or anywhere visible such as a website. Now they call me multiple times per week and leave voicemails. I feel like I'm being harassed when I attempted to cancel. Do not sign up here. I have never experienced this with any other gym. read more

I have been a member even before they opened. If you like cardio and weights you have everything you need. Staff is particular about cleaning and very friendly. Could help for staff to intermingle with members occasionally on floor just to check if all is good. I've seen some negative reviews but sounds those that want a social club environment and complain about tv selections and things that have nothing to do about getting fit. Go to a dance club if you want that! Otherwise stay focused and do what you are there for and that is getting some exercise. I really like the place and can't beat the price. read more

Easily the best budget gym in the area, they have great staff and new machines. They are also renovating this location so it's basically gonna be a brand new gym for a minimum of $10 a month. The other members are also great and mind their own business and are very nice and the atmosphere is always inviting. There is no all around better gym in the area. read more

I visited the YouFit location on Midlothian. I enjoyed a good workout but l noticed that the young man behind the desk, whose name is Nick didn't even give me a tour. I thought that was very unprofessional. I have visited many other gyms in the past and thar has never happened. I have always received a tour. I would not recommend this gym. When I called back about an hour later which was around 3pm, l asked to speak to a manager and l was told that there are no managers at this location by a young woman named Brittany. That's not true. I had been a past member until Covid hit. After 2 years off of use, I resigned on December 12, 2022, utilizing Silver Sneakers. I felt I needed some Personal Training sessions to get me going so I signed up and PAID $100 in advance for 4 sessions. I had to use those 4 sessions up in the 1st 3 months or lose them. I understood. Just after signing up, I came to have a leg problem delaying the PT starts, or gym workouts as well. Still, with having that issue as of Feb. 10th, I discovered my credit card had been charged another $100 for another month. So I went to the YouFit location and asked the manager for credit from this current charge, especially because I still had close to another month left on 1st $100 at signup! Not having realized that when I signed up and filled out my initials or signature some 27 times, I failed to see that you get charged $100 every month for PT even if you did not need it. The manager said I could cancel but would have to pay ANOTHER $100 to do so! So of course, I had no choice and told the manager, I'm through here! My entire point here is the process in which YouFit takes you through the signing up and for PT is suspect for sure. Hell, your lawyer couldn't read all the documents in a reasonable time frame AND THEY KNOW THAT!!! Beware of YouFit! Beware!!! read more

Don't bother joining here if you are a working parent (or just a person who works period) who can only go to the gym after 8:00PM. When I joined they advertised themselves as a 24 hour gym. When they changed their hours to 5AM to midnight, I totally understood that because there aren't many people working out during those hours. But to close at 9 PM and then now at 8PM?! This gym is pretty good, not going to lie. But the reason I give it 3 stars only is because they made the corporate decision to close at 9:00pm (restricted hours) every day post pandemic. Some days they even close at 8:00pm, or on more outrageous days 5:00pm! Not only this, but they have decided to charge more than other places and more than when they were working under normal hours of operation. This is a problem because you are paying more while receiving less time to work out. Imagine, an individual who works normal hours, goes home and makes dinner, relaxes a little bit, and then wants to hit the gym, cannot because of the sole fact that the establishment is already closed for business at 9:00pm sharp (if you're lucky). All these factors make this gym lose stars in my opinion, and may even force me to switch gyms because I simply cannot find the time work out at YouFit on Midlothian Turnpike. Bare Bones and Dirt Cheap. You get what you pay for. Limited in everything from TV Channels on cardio machines to Amenities. But if you don't need much this place will do the trick. If you're looking for a budget gym, go elsewhere- Planet fitness, crunch, etc. Youfit employees were dishonest, care little about their customer and are entirely unprofessional. Since Covid occurred, I have continued to pay my membership without asking for any refund. I went to the gym once during covid and the cleanliness was horrid. I asked to suspend my membership until after Covid has subsided. Needless to say, they continued to charge the full amount, not the reduced price to suspend my membership. After asking them to cancel my membership, I was told I would have to go in person, even though they have terrible sanitary standards and we are in the middle of a pandemic. Go elsewhere. read more

If you are a certified gym rat, you already know. But if you're a novice like me, here's the 411. This gym is a good place to start your journey to fitness. You'll have to take initiative to ask but I find the staff knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all questions they've been asked 100's of times. There is no shortage of machines to lift, push, pull, squeeze, walk, run, climb, moan, and groan on. They may seem intimidating at first glance but easy to follow instructions are posted on each. If you're still baffled, staff will help. There are plenty of free weights and staff can instruct you how to incorporate them into your workout. If you want a customized workout, YF offers personal trainers who will design a workout just for you to help you reach your fitness goals. YF also offers classes in yoga, Zumba, etc. In addition to other benefits, a Lime Card Membership gives you access to all classes at any YF location enabling you to find the ones to suit your needs. If group workouts aren't your thing, a basic membership is a budget friendly $10 monthly but limits you to one location. Not all locations offer all amenities so best to do some research if, for example, you require childcare. You can at anytime upgrade or downgrade your membership depending on your needs. This gym is kept relatively clean, at a comfortable temperature, and never smells of gym funk. My peeve is the music. I find it more distracting than motivating because it's on a loop and has little variation. There are too many options to stick with this format. With today's technology it's an easy fix. Not everyone appreciates all music genres but no one wants a steady diet of any one thing. Some may actually enjoy it but the number of headphones and earbuds in use says otherwise. If you have the ability to tune it out, good on you. Having said, your fitness is your responsibility and your gym experience is what you make it. YF offers you everything you need. I've been going here since January, and I have nothing bad to say. The staff are friendly and are always willing to help out or answer any questions you have. I've made some friends along the way, and now I feel at home when I go to the gym. The locker room is always kept clean, and there are plenty of options when it comes to your routine... free weights, machines, cardio; they have it. For the price, you can't beat it. I don't need luxury amenities when I go to the gym, so if you do, then AMFAM is right up the street for 4X the price. Stop hesitating and JUST DO IT! read more

I've been a member of another well known gym for 2 1/2 years so I knew what I was looking for in a gym I joined YouFit in Sept. 2017 and it's been fantastic so far. it's very clean (contrary to some reviews I've seen on line ??) their equipment is outstanding and plenty of it ---2 and 3 of the same machines---So no waiting!! It seems the members here actually come to workout (Imagine that) and not to SIT ON THE MACHINES AND PLAY ON THEIR SMARTPHONE AND/OR B.S. W/FRIENDS.I also love that they don't have all the amenities that I personally don't use and don't care to pay for. For 10 bucks a week YouFit has everything I want in a gym!! read more

If I could give this Gym ZERO Stars I would. Customer Service is practically Null and Void. They will say and do anything to get you sign up for personal training and change the rules after they have taken your money. I have lost hundreds dealing with these people and there is no resolution. No one seems to know the right person to talk to and they refuse to help. I had to go online to research the corporate headquarters information because the Manager refuses to give it to you if you complain. The trainers are medicore at best, AND they REFUSE to refund your money for unsatisfactory service. I have been a member at many different gyms and this is by far one is the WORST. Nasty, dirty, NOT CLEAN -- a haven for bacteria. Their "wipes" consist of a spray bottle changed to a post and flimsy toilet paper - that is what you are supposed to wipe down the equipment with. I watched. NO ONE WIPES THE EQUIPMENT! YUCK! But I guess you get what you pay for. $10 a month, you get dirty nasty sticky equipment. I was bringing my own wipes but after I watched a guy run on a treadmill and sweat all over it, and not clean after himself, I was DONE. This is the best gym that I have been to! There is an extremely friendly staff, more than enough equipment, and it is by far the cleanest gym I have ever stepped foot into.
