Since I had just bought the Groupon the same day I tried to make the appointment, I offered to just cancel my Groupon, since that was the only week I wanted to go (wanted to get a fresh set of lashes right before going to Hawaii). After I said that, a 6 pm appointment magically freed up. Fishy but whatever. So I go in for my appointment and it wasn't even busy at that time. The procedure was fine - didn't really feel any tugging. I went with the sexy style 12s and it wasn't as noticeable as I would have liked it to be. Fast forward about three days - I've just arrived in Hawaii. Hadn't used any greasy sunscreens, hadn't done any swimming or sweating, and most of my lashes are already falling out from just washing my face with water. One week later, all the extensions have basically fallen out, save for a few that are clinging on for dear life, thus making me look like a crazy person. I don't know if they use lower quality lashes/glue for Grouponers or what, but I will not be returning to find out. Note - there's a $5 "cash tax" that you have to pay on top of the Groupon.

The permanent makeup indeed looked soft and natural. I got so many compliments, and some from complete strangers. My friends and coworkers loved the shape of my brows, and asked how I shape it so evenly all the time. When I tell them it's permanent makeup, people are completely surprised. It doesn't look like the typical tattooed brows at all. I also got my eyeliner done because, who has time to draw it in everyday?! Ashley did a wonderful job. Upon arrival, the service was great. We had our coats taken and hung up, we slipped into cute branded slippers, and we were offered adorably themed treats and drinks. Once we walked back to our room, we changed into cozy robes and had our heads propped up on cushy pillows. I loved the procedure from beginning to end. Since it was my first time, my aesthetician walked me through all the different sections and consistently checked in to make sure I was okay. She even showed me all the blackheads that she removed (yuck but also veryy cool lol) . After everything was done, she gave me pointers on how to keep my pores unclogged and she reminded me to add products with sunscreen to my routine. I loved my first deep cleansing facial and I definitely have Natrabella Skincare Beauty and Day Spa to thank for that. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and bring all my friends with me.

On the second day, I noticed some swelling on my left eyelid and reached out to her. Upon sending her pictures of my eyes, she claimed the swelling to be caused by a hanging eyelash she glued extremely close to my eyeball. She told me to come in the following day to remove the lash and the swelling should go down, which I told her I was completely okay with. When I woke up on the third day, my entire eyelid was swollen. I reached out to Samantha and told her I just needed to remove the entire set at this point because my eye was really not doing okay. She proceeded by sending me numerous messages at a time pleading to let me remove the lash and the swelling would go down, rather than removing the entire set. She even went as far as reaching out to manager (who referred her to me) to call me in order to try and change my mind. Once I arrived at the suite later that day to get the set removed, Samantha insisted on removing the lash, which wasn't the specific lash she pointed out at all. Samantha had glued lashes to my actual eyelid, resulting in everything being clumped together. She made me sit there while I continuously told her to just remove the entire thing, squirming in pain, as she ripped off the lashes that were clumped together on my eyelid. The entire time this was going on she referred to me reaching out about my swollen eyelid as complaining, and she kept expressing her concern about me ruining the integrity of her business and her reputation. Once she finally got the lashes off, she asked if my eye felt well enough to keep the set on, to which I replied that I still wanted her to take them off. The removal process was extremely painful and once I had them off and looked at my eye it was twice as big. At this point, the right eye had swelling on the lash line as well, along with the feeling of little particles on the inside of my eyes. Once I left, I went to the emergency room, where I was told I had an infection and they had to flush my eyes with iv bags (hooked up by contact lenses), and stain my eyes in order to assess that no damage had been done to my cornea. 4 hours later I was on my way to pick up my antibiotics. I went through a period of time where I had eyelash extensions on for 6 months. In those 6 months I did not experience any irritation or inflammation at all. Once Samantha reached out and I told her I was in the emergency room and that I had an infection, she proceeded to tell me, "maybe eyelash extensions aren't for you then love." I will never in my life go back to Samantha for any type of services, and I hope this review saves anyone from going through what I went through.
