Hadn't seen the reviews before ordering the computer for a 3 year old. Noticed on the confirmation that it had the wrong shipping address and emailed them the correct address 5 minutes later. Got automated reply that someone would get back to me within 48 hours. Nothing. Emailed again got same auto message. Tried twice more. Same result. 10 days later got email that they couldn't change it as it was shipped. After receiving it, emailed them suggesting that appropriate remedy would be refund of shipping charge as I paid to have it resent. Got email that I could ship back (at my expense) for exchange or refund. Agree with others that this company has zero customer service. read more

This is described as a toy store so I hope the catalog that comes to my house is this store. It has this name. I ordered walkie talkies back in July for $90. I did this on-line. I wanted to return them and called "customer service." It appears from all the calls I made this service is outside our country. The first call I made the woman tried to discourage me from returning them. Only a credit to me. I said I did not want that and she finally relented in giving me a NJ address. I FedXed them at the end of July. No credit, no email, no nothing. I have emailed and received no response. My calls go nowhere. They literally go silent on me when I express my (very in control) feelings. Today I said I would be calling the MA Attorney Generals Office which I will. I did, but then they took away the $4.99 flat rate shipping. My total shipping and handling charge was $14.73. What a rip off, and now they will be constantly texting me. If I could give them negative stars, I would in a heartbeat. We just got screwed out of an order that we never received. They told us that we were responsible for dealing with the shipping company and getting reimbursed through them. Unbelievable enough, since it was a Christmas gift for our son, they gladly offered to 2 day ship a replacement of the item - AT OUR COST. Winner of the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service of the entire season. Ordered in early December - a product that they listed as in stock when they sent me a "Thank you for your order" message with order #. After more than one online complaint and calls to them, I finally received a response this New Years week, after Christmas, that said my order was on hold because they had billing issues. The ONLY people who had billing issues with my credit card, in a long line of ordering from other actual successful and decent companies that did process my orders and other companies that DO know what they are doing. We just cancelled a $500 order. Usually an order of that size does not charge a shipping charge. A shipping charge showed up and we called to ask it be waived. We got a person who did not speak easily to understand English who said that they did not waive shipping charges. Every other place we order from waives charges for shipping of orders for this size. The catalogue looked intriguing with many unique and educational toys. They are very pricey but I ordered some for my grandson for Christmas. At end of order they offered a VIP membership with no mention of a charge. I apparently accepted and they charge $14.95 each month since to the credit card I used to pay for the Christmas presents. This was my first time ordering after receiving a catalog in the mail. The toys are a bit expensive but very good and special. The toys arrived on time, but the one gift for the adults did NOT. Simon was for the adults to enjoy time together at Christmas with laughs and memories. I was told it would arrive mid Dec. That was fine. Then I phoned when mine did not arrive and my daughter's gift did not arrive. That is when I was told that it was in "back order" and would not arrive until mid January. I feel that I should have been told the truth from the start. Turns out that Target ( a store I do not support) had Simon much cheaper and with free shipping. When I called for status because it has been in "processing" status and it is now, Dec 8, the woman on the phone insisted it takes over 4 weeks. I placed an on-line order in December 2018, for one item from Young Explorers for a Christmas gift. The gift itself was a good quality, and arrived on the anticipated day. On February 11, 2019, while checking my credit card statement, I noticed a charge for $14.95 identified as the Young Explorers VIP Club. I had not joined this club, nor, did I authorize this charge. Avoid this company! On 12/11, I placed an order online and paid $24 for expedited shipping. All items said they were in stock. They did not ship until 12/15 and they shipped it via FedEx SmartPost which is not quick shipping. Well, ordered 2 gifts from this company -- $70 worth of Christmas gifts for my boy. See below email I sent on 31 December 2014, then nudged up twice more. No response. These are things that my child picked out from your catalog months before, and we ordered them at no small expense for his Christmas presents. He opened these gifts and the Glove Shooter couldn't be activated by my six year old, and barely even activated when I tried it. Far too difficult to squeeze the activator for a child. Like I said, I could barely activate it. On the Micro Spy Set, my son loved all the spy gadgets but by the next morning, all but one had stopped working. I went out and purchased batteries for these -- all lithium "button" batteries, which was not cheap nor convenient. This only seemed to revive one of the toys. So he ended up with 2 working toys out of the set. To have spent a total in excess of $70 to get these, I must say I'm quite disappointed. This company should not be in the children's toy business: I bought a toy online 9 days ago and to my surprise I couldn't attach a gift card or have the toy gift-wrapped (are you kidding me? A toy store for children that doesn't wrap or include a card?). The website said standard delivery of 3-5 business days. Bought all my grandkids gifts this year in early Nov. from this company , and the order was confirmed.Later in Nov. nothing was arriving so I emailed them and they said something was amiss with the order that they had already confirmed. so they cancelled the entire order, 7 items. I said why didn't you contact me and let me know there was a problem? They had no answer. I even tried to reorder everything, but several items were no longer available. I was devastated. Had to find 7 new gifts from other companies now into Dec. Still haven't got them all and 3 were sent to the wrong address. I still need to resend many of these gifts to other states before Christmas if I ever get them all. The only joy I get from Christmas is my kids joy. If I could give 0 stars for this company, I would. I ordered a toy for my nephew on June 7th. I received a confirmation email that stated I would be notified when the item was shipped out. I continued to check for status updates and by June 15th, when my order still said "processing," I decided to give them a call. After NUMEROUS failed attempts to reach anyone (I was hung up on multiple times before I could even speak), I decided to submit an online request asking where the product was. I have since submitted 3 requests online and have not heard back from anyone. 2 days ago, I tried calling again and finally got through to a man who apologized for the delay in shipping and said they would include express shipping at no extra cost to me. He said my gift would be arriving on Friday. I told him my nephew's birthday is this Saturday, so I appreciated the express shipping. I asked if I would receive a confirmation email when the item shipped and he said, "Oh yes, ma'am, don't worry. You will get an email that the item has shipped." Well, surprise, surprise, but no confirmation email was ever sent to me. So, I called again today and spoke to a woman who said, "Oh, I'm so sorry ma'am, I do see that express shipping was added to your account, but the item is on back order until the end of September." THE END OF SEPTEMBER! This is a kid's toy company! Don't you think it's appropriate to inform the customer that an item they have purchased will not be shipping for MONTHS?! Toddlers don't understand what back order means and they certainly don't want to wait around for a gift for MONTHS. This is absolutely unacceptable service. Horrible customer service. I placed an order on 7/31 that showed on their website that was in stock I contacted customer service on 8/10 to see if it was delivered and it was not. Requested to cancel since I needed it to be delivered by 8/10 they said it could not be cancelled since it was already in their warehouse. I then asked if they could expedite the shipment and they said no since order was placed with standard shipping at a cost of $11.99. They said that shipping from their warehouse in MA to CA could take 7 - 10 business days. Totally unacceptable especially I had no prior correspondence from them. Terrible customer service! We ordered 4 different toys for our niece who lives out of state and were happy with the selection young explorers offered. At checkout, we entered the delivery address as our niece's and the billing address as our own. The website automatically changed the delivery address to match the billing address. We called before the items shipped to have the order cancelled, but were told there was no guarantee it would be corrected. Two days later we received an email that the items were being shipped... to our house and not our niece's! The items arrived in a large box that cost us $50 to mail on our own to the correct address.
