Just got back from having a family photo shoot with young, all I can say is he is amazing at what he does! Makes you feel comfortable and gets to know you on a professional aspect! Do not waste your time with this photographer! The pictures were not good, many cut off at the knees or ankles and they were all grainy. Our photo shoot was supposed to be an hour, but Young walked out after 25 minutes. Our son was having some behavior problems, which is not great for a photo shoot. If he was a real photographer he would know that getting family photos is stressful and kids often act out. I could not believe he was so unprofessional. Go to a real photographer, and watch out for the Groupon deal. You don't actually get digital images, what you get is low quality images that cannot be printed and have the business logo across the photo. read more

Young did an absolutely outstanding job on our pictures. My boyfriend and I did a couples shoot and the images were even better then expected. My boyfriend and I were worried about how we were going to pose for the pictures but Young gave us direction and really knew what to look for and what position to have us in to capture the perfect image. Not only was his photography skills great but his personality was very enjoyable to be around. Funny guy and fun experience! The next time I need pictures done I will definitely be going to him! If I could rate Young higher than 5 stars I would! We purchased engagement photos through him and they were absolutely amazing! Young has great ideas when it comes to posing and most importantly he makes you feel comfortable during your shoot. When we got the edited pictures back we immediately purchased 2 more sessions with him because the quality of the images were excellent. This is my first negative review for Yelp. Be aware of their cancellation policy. Because it's difficult to find from their main page, here it is: "RESCHEDULE due weather: - We are unable to control the forecast and unfavorable weather. With that, it is up to the photographers discretion if the session will be cancelled due to the weather. In situations where there is a chance of storms/rain/thunder/snow/unfavorable weather condition on your scheduled session date, your session is more than likely to be cancel/reschedule. Reason being, besides the obvious we would be very limited on poses/shooting spots/good lighting. However, there is a (one) time courtesy to reschedule within the 72 hour window at no charge, due the inclement weather. KEEP in mind, depending on time of year the next available date can be 3 to 5 weeks out. We will honor your photo package deal for the first (1st), rescheduling date, even if it's past your expiration date. But on the second (2nd) rescheduling date, no matter what the reason of the rescheduling is, there will be a $80+tax rescheduling fee, rescheduling fee must be paid in order to secure the date and time for the 2nd rescheduling, which is also considered the third (3rd) session date." Keep in mind, we're in Seattle. Fall is starting. I've been in contact with them since Aug 21, and Oct 5 was their first available date. What's the likelihood that it won't rain until spring, honestly? IN ADDITION, This company emailed me twice the morning of our photoshoot (8:00, 9:30) to let me know that we were definitely meeting at 5pm. As their previous communications indicated that the schedule would be set at 10am, I felt confident that we'd be on. Inistead, I get notified at 12:30 that the forecast has changed, and that they will have to cancel. I don't blame them for not having control over the weather: that'd be ridiculous. However, not having a backup plan is even more ridiculous. They are an outdoor-only company, and I get that they have a business to run-- but scheduling my WEDDING PHOTOS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY has been far easier. No thanks. read more

Not a lot of professional photography companies have to advertise through groupon, and it is pretty bad when they fail at that.

Do not buy a Groupon from this person. Even though they don't tell you before you purchase the Groupon. They will not schedule something at all convenient for you. You get pushed to the end of the line and treated like a persona non grata us. I don't support anyone who doesn't believe in good customer service to all. read more

Purchased a groupon for this business that expires in January for holiday pictures. Contacted them this month to set up an appt and was told they were completely booked til March! Requested a refund and was told to ask Groupon. Groupon can only refund in the first 3 days, after that it is up to the business. So I basically just flushed my money down a toilet. I honestly feel like I've been stolen from. Not sure about the quality of their work, but I definitely recommend not paying before services are rendered....or u might get shafted! We used YOUNGimage for our son's Senior pictures, and I can't say enough positive things about them! I reached out via email to them and within 1 hour I had a reply from Syri. She clearly advised of what times/days were available for appointments. Sadly, I was the one who waited until the last minute to book, however, Syri was was able to accommodate my request for a weekend appointment. Less than a week prior to our appt, a family emergency came up, forcing me to reschedule the appt. Again, reached out to Syri, she immediately replied and we rescheduled for two weeks out without any issues. I certainly appreciate all her timely, professional and polite email communication. A few days prior to our appt, Syri contacted me with a friendly reminder and we exchanged numbers should there be any issues in meeting up with Young. We met Young at the location and he immediately put my son at ease. He had a lot of fun with Young. Young is a true professional and his work is amazing! All of the pictures were fantastic, making it difficult to pick only some, but that is not an issue too, because at YOUNGimage, they give you the opportunity to purchase your entire album in HD for a nominal fee, compared to others. And....I was told that the turnaround time for our photos would be about 10 business days (which is much quicker than others), but I was pleasantly surprised when Syri emailed me in 5 business days saying the photos are ready to be viewed! Finally, when I selected the photos I wanted to purchase, Syri replied, AGAIN, within one hour with my links and a confirmation of my order! I purchased a Groupon for our maternity photos and while scheduling was very prompt there were only a few locations to choose from without incurring additional charges. Luther Burbank Park actually ended up being perfect - it's not a crowded location so we had plenty of privacy. We are not used to having our photos taken professionally, but Young helped us feel relaxed and enjoy the time, he gave lots of direction which we really appreciated. Our photoshoot was just yesterday, so I can't comment on the end product yet but I can say that we enjoyed the relaxed attitude and the experience has been very professional so far. read more

I contacted YOUNGimage for a headshot and was asked to sign a policy agreement. The agreement stated that YOUNGimage ***retained all digital rights to any photos (they own the photo) unless I pay them $50 per digital image***. That means that they could sell the digital images to others or use it without your permission. So you are paying for the photo shoot, the retouched images, but YOUNGimage retains the digital rights for the photos unless you pay an extra $50 for any of the photos that were taken. This was not described in the "fine print" on their website and is misleading. read more

He was with us the entire day and was a pleasure to be around. While he was fun to have around, he knew when to be in the background. I have many Photo-Shoots earlier with different companies and none of the photographers were able to engage with my kids so nicely. My husband and I along with our 6 children had Young take our family pictures two weeks ago. The weather ended up being very windy (17 mph) and my 2 year old was uncooperative after only about 10 minutes into the session. Young was had a great idea to still take beautiful family pictures in the windy conditions. He took us into a grove of trees where the wind was much calmer. We ended up getting a couple of great family shots in this area. As far as my 2 year old goes, Young was patient and allowed time for my husband and me to try to calm our little one. Our pictures are better than I hoped for. The colors are gorgeous and sharp and look SO professional! When we walked away from our session, I hoped that there might be one good family picture and was pleased to end up with three nice family pictures and as a bonus, beautiful shots of each of my children individually. All of my emails with the company were responded to quickly and professionally. If I could give Young 4.5 stars I would. The only things that I felt could have been improved was a little more attention to detail as the pictures were being taken. My necklace is crooked in one of the family pictures that I really like, not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have had that pointed out so that I could adjust it. Also, it would have been nice to have Young physically pose each of my children, some of them are placed a little too far away in some of the family pictures. Yes, there has been some rescheduling but that was due to the weather and YoungImage team has been very responsive, flexible and open to accommodate us and our schedule. My daughter has always hated having her picture taken. She never likes the way they turn out but I begged her to get them done for her senior year. I came across this Groupon for Youngimage Photography and I set the appointment. They kept communication with me the whole time leading up to when and where we had to meet and answered any questions that I had. My daughter said they did an awesome job at directing her and the pictures came out beautiful. My daughter and I loved all of them but had to limit it to the ones we liked most. In every shot it looked like a completely different location, setting and even her outfit looked different because of the angles and the lightning! It was amazing! I liked being able to see each shot in different edited formats like b&w or up closer like a head shot or farther away like full body. I think sometimes people take for granted just how much a picture can mean to someone. If you are like me and blink and your children have grown up so fast before your very eyes and you want to capture that moment before they head of to start their own lives well this is the place you want to go!
