Definitely not as busy as Giovanni's but they're just as good! Their shrimp is peeled, devined, and fried. They have an array of flavors. I got the Thai chili shrimp and also wanted to try the fish so I got 50/50. It was really good. They both came straight out of the fryer so they were piping hot! Great crunch on the fish and great flavor on the shrimp. The lovely woman working was very sweet. I really enjoyed it and for $17 that's a good deal.

So glad we got to eat from this truck versus standing in a line for Giovanni's. This place is underrated. The shrimp here is ono delicious and portion plenty. Their Thai sweet chili lime shrimp, garlic shrimp, and pineapple coconut shrimp did not disappoint. The service was just as good as the food. Would definitely have this again!
This was on the opposite end of Giovanni's and I am so glad we skipped the line and came to Zane's! It was fantastic!!! The lady taking orders was super sweet! We ordered the garlic shrimp (it came peeled!) and the coconut pineapple shrimp. You get a scoop of rice and a small salad as well. Super delicious!!! I highly recommend if you don't want to peel the shrimp and have all the delicious flavor of other trucks there. *Edited to add they accept credit cards here as well!! Very helpful.
Very good! Was planning on Giovanni's since my optometrist recommended but line was way too long. Pretty pricey but food was fresh.

We're working our way through the north shore shrimp trucks and this was our third (after Jenny's and Big Wave) and the best so far. We got our standard: one order of garlic shrimp and one of coconut shrimp. Coconut shrimp: I was a bit worried about the coconut shrimp, because it looked over cooked, but despite the darker color, the shrimp itself was still great. It's shredded coconut, which I don't like quite as much as the big shavings, but it has good coconut flavor, and not all places do. It also comes with a unique sweet lemon dipping sauce that was a nice pairing. The option of fries or rice was also a nice change, as we almost always throw out some of the rice, and the kids devoured the crispy fries (note: much better than the classic frozen crinkle fries shown on the truck pictures). 8 good sized shrimp, and a small salad with ranch. Garlic shrimp: 10 shrimp, smothered in garlic, one scoop of rice and a side salad. The shrimp is peeled (some tails left) and deveined. This tends not to be the standard around here and while I don't mind shrimp shells, if that bugs you, this may be your shrimp truck. A lot of the 1 star reviews for this place appear to relate to the man serving, but on our visit, it was a woman, she was very friendly, there was no line, and the food was hot and fast. Solid choice.
My sister took a half day off from work today, Thursday, because she wanted to visit Haleiwa Art Gallery that will be permanently closing tomorrow. So we new we would make a day out of this, especially for middle of the work week and no crowds due to the 14-day quarantine requirement for out-of-State visitors. A couple weeks ago, I went to the other shrimp truck but my shrimp was cold and they don't clean the tables when people are done eating, so not COVID compliant, if that's applicable to food trucks. So this time, I figured we'd try Zane's. And we are glad we did. So many other options that we try and share. I ordered half fish and fried shrimp . I like a nice balance of seafood and batter. The batter is good here. My sister ordered the garlic shrimp which she also enjoyed. And her plate came with slaw. And we got fish and chips for my parents and ordered them rice. We were full but not stuffed intentionally as we knew we were going to have shave ice later. Great customer service. So friendly. I had prepared a little cooler of drinks in case we decide to sit on the beach. I asked if we had to order drinks from Zane's but she said we were welcome to make ourselves at home and provide our own drinks. Tables have umbrellas so incase it rains, you won't get wet like we did the last time and so we wouldn't have to worry about the tamarind falling from the tree and hitting us on the head like the last time. Tables are also clean which I appreciate. The other shrimp truck, tables are filthy and none of the workers are cleaning it up. Price of plates are comparable to other shrimp trucks. Currently, plenty of parking, so take advantage of this time while we have the island to ourselves as locals and while we support our local businesses. 5-stars for customer service, cleanliness, food and prices

Peeled and devined not common to find in Hawaii! So so delicious! The service was great tables near by to enjoy your food although we took it to go. So delicious will definitely be back for more!
Came back here for our second trip and brought 6 friends with us they all loved it. Got the half fish and half coconut shrimp and it was amazing. Others tried the garlic and hot ones which were also good.
We grabbed the Coconut Crusted Shrimp and oh my it was so crispy and flavorful! Definitely a must when stopping at the shrimp trucks! PLUS, there was no wait and they take credit card!

Omg!! this place was really good. My dish was OK but my husband got the Thai sweet chili shrimp and it was so good. It was very crunchy and my son got the fish and chips. That was really good to. Giovanni's is overrated, sorry. Plus this place takes credit cards. read more

I love that their shrimp comes peeled and deveined -- makes eating in the car MUCH easier. We got the garlic shrimp and the 1/2 and 1/2 shrimp and fish. The garlic sauce on the shrimp is phenomenal. It's garlicky and citrusy, which makes it a home run for me. I also loved the fish -- it's fried super well! Crispy, flaky, and juicy. I much preferred the tempura fish over the tempura shrimp (in my opinion the tempura shrimp was overcooked a little). read more

Pineapple Coconut Shrimp is so Good! Crispy crust with sweet pineapple. Even the most rice is good with coconut flavor. No line and credit card. 10 minutes wait vs the 30+ at Giovanni's. read more
Soooo good!! We drove here to eat at Giovanni's because that's what came up on our search. When we saw the line at Giovanni's we decided to try Zanes instead and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing and the service was quick and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this over standing in line at Giovanni's. read more

I never write a review but this place is ran by Mother and Son.. This is my first time in North Shore and have been to 5 food trucks that serve spicy garlic shrimp. People at first recommended that I "have to go" to Giovanni's... however when I had theirs it was cold, small portion and the the shell was still on so the flavor doesn't really get into the shrimp meat. I had Zane's first because the parking attendant said he picks Zane's all day before Giovanni's. So I took his word and he was right. By far the best spicy garlic shrimp I've had. Deveined and no shells on the shrimp. Twice my plate came out smoking hot and the portions were acceptable! The crispy fried fish is also fire flame spitter! Cooking up fresh hot batches and not something that's been sitting. If anyone is out here and want to try a flavorful and fresh experience of food then I highly recommend Zane's Simply Shrimp! read more

Originally wanted to go Giovanni's, but they had a long line as usual. But Zane's had no line, which I know why! Got my food, and I saw a HAIR IN MY SALAD. And the salad was such a tiny amount! Very disappointed. Food was ok. read more
On this sequestered Saturday I ventured out to Haleiwa to try and satisfy my shrimp crave. No line, no wait and excellent service! In these hard times they were so appreciative of the business! $13 is the cost of my plate it had 2 scoops of rice a small tossed salad and about a dozen peeled yes peeled and deveined shrimp! All swimming happily in that garlic butter sauce! Hello the sauce was drizzled on the rice! Oh my I was in garlic shrimp heaven! So much flavor I kinda scarfed it down. FANTASTIC WAYYYYY BETTER RHEN GIOVANNI'S SORRY!!! My sister and our best friend ordered from Geovanni's and they both ended up sadly disappointed after seeing and tasting my plate....ordered the pineapple coconut shrimp from Zane's presentation was on point and the customer service was better then some of the 3-star restaurants I've been to. Everyone doted on Giovanni's shrimp truck but Zane's hot and spicy shrimp plate was worth me driving 45 minutes back here each day of my trip in Hawaii! It's just an amazing plate of goodness with shrimp cooked perfectly with a homemade and delicious spicy sauce on top of that and the white rice accompanying it! read more

Didn't want to wait in line with all these crazy tourist zombies at Giovanni's for freaking shrimp. So ended up going to Zane's and what do you know? No line! And you know what? It was very delicious! Tried their garlic and Thai spicy shrimp. I personally think they are better than Fumi's. Not sure about Giovanni's because never had it and don't really care. First time at this food truck lot. It's very cool. Definitely will come back. read more

Skip the line and go straight to Zane's, the shrimp is delicious and the service is great. Best part is the shrimp is already peeled and deveined! We ordered the coconut pineapple shrimp, and the medium spicy shrimp, which had a pretty good kick. There's shaded seating too. If you care more about food good vs social media buzz, then this is the place for you. read more

I tried the "famous" shrimp scampi from Giovannis and then got the pineapple coconut shrimp from Zanes so we could compare. Zanes blew Giovannis out of the water! The shrimp here were bigger and tasted way fresher. Now this isn't a typical coconut crusted shrimp this was a fried shrimp in what tasted more like coconut oil. So the coconut taste was there just no shreds or anything but I didn't mind! Then there was fresh pineapple on top. One bite of shrimp along with a bite of pineapple and you're in flavor heaven! So freakin good and you get way more bang for hour bucks here as well. The plate of food was way bigger than the plate we got from Giovannis and cost the same! read more
