In response to management, no it had absolutely nothing to do with windows update, in fact we never updated it because that not what it needed; you feigned knowledge as if that was what it needed without any diagnosis. No one needs your help when they can get the same answer you give off the first result of a google search for 'how to fix common computer errors', thats the best you get here. Just shows a complete lack of knowledge about simple troubleshooting for windows IOS. If you really want to know so maybe you can help future customers actually solve issues, ALL you had to do was clear the TEMP folder. After doing this the computer ran with no hitches no freezing. Im a busy person and don't usually like to sit trying to diagnose these types of issues, but if anyone thinks this business will actually be able to work on modern computers that need modern knowledge and fixes move on. The fact that you think updating widows is some magical solution to computer issues shows you are very wrong to all reading. The windows OS wasn't even old when we brought it in, don't know why you decided to make that the issue and try to charge $100 for it. read more

The best! They helped me set up my work computer for online local backup several years ago. My greatest fear is loosing all my work data to the inevitable crash. Boy am I glad I did. My motherboard shorted and fried my entire hard drive. I brought in my dead computer and my outboard drive and Gaddy had be back up and running in a manner of a few hours. I pretty much only give reviews if they're really good or really bad. In this case, Your Computer Store was really really good! They were friendly and fixed the horrible mess I created for myself. My computer was frozen on the BIOS bootup and I couldn't do anything. Eventually I got Windows to load, but it was in something similar to Safe Mode. Low resolution, huge icons, only the most basic functions. Long story short/Nerd stuff below: I have Windows 10 with the ASUS Z97-A Motherboard. This has Thunderbolt 2 header on the MB. I recently got a Thunderbolt Display Monitor from work that I'll be using for a bit so I wanted to attach this to my PC since my HP Monitor is only 1920 x 1080 HD. I bought the ASUS Thunderbolt 3 Expansion Card and installed. Installation was easy, just plug the card into the PCIE slot and attach to the Thunderbolt Header on the MB. Then plug a Display Port To USB C adaptor cable from the GPU back to the ASUS Expansion Card. Then use an Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor to plug in the Thunderbolt display. The Apple Display uses a Thunderbolt 2, but the ASUS Expansion card is a Thunderbolt 3 compatible card. When I did this myself I was only able to get sound to come from the monitor, no video. After I restarted my PC is when I had the problems. I did try to download all drivers for my GPU and the ones for the ASUS expansion card. There were also some tweaks in the BIOS that had to be made to enable Thunderbolt. I was just watching videos online to try to figure this out. Others had done it, but not with this MB. I am amazed they were able to get my PC to connect to an Apple Thunderbolt Display. They were able to get computer back up and running like before I f'd it up and now I'm able to use the better resolution monitor for photo and video editing. There are quite a few forums with people who had lots of trouble getting this expansion card to work on even the MBs that are supposed to be compatible with it. This was done quick and for a beyond reasonable price. Less than $100. I've been screwed by another computer store in Mission Viejo (Quick Fix IT Repair) twice and out over almost a few hundred bucks. Oh, and the other place wiped both my 500gb SSD and my 6TB HDD with 3 years worth of photos from trips on it. Turned out to just be a bad Power Supply (PSU). This issue was solved by a friend who said maybe it was the PSU. Replaced it and BOOM it was working. Needless to say, I will only be going to Your Computer Store with any other issues in the future. I'm planning on building a new PC later this year/early next year at the latest and I'm going to take it here for sure! This place is batting 100!!! I am the fourth reviewer and I also give them 5 stars!!! Now I am not a computer geek but I'm also not a novice. My Fujita Tablet has been having memory problems. My dumb Windows 7 operating system keeps automatically installing updates when I log off, such that my c: drive was filled to capacity. I called Best Buys's Geek Patrol and told them my problem (here is some techno-babble) I told them I had plenty of gigabytes of memory left, but the computer's disk was partitioned into a c: and d: drive. The c: drive kept filling up. The Best Buy guy said for $300.00 he could give me an upgraded hard drive with more memory. $300? Forget about it. I went to "Your Computer Store" across the street, and explained the same problem and Marco was able to fix my problem by re-partitioning my hard drive and it only took him an hour, and cost me only $60.00!!!! Best Buy and their Geek Patrol can "kiss my grits!" Hooray for "Your Computer Store." I highly recommend these guys. They are true computer experts and great businessmen! My computer started shrieking its death speech in Morris Code and then shut down for no reason. After first going to another computer repair store that sketched me out for multiple reasons. I went here and of course my computer turned on without a problem, the guy was nice enough to blow the dust out of my computer for me to see if that was causing the over heating issue. I went home and after awhile it did it again, so I brought it back and they fixed it right off, and even offered me a loaner. Definitely happy :) read more

Really smart guys, and they sell you the stuff you need, nothing else. It's great to find knowledgeable staff willing to answer dumb questions without making me feel dumb! I recently left my brand new laptop there and they removed all the irritating bells and whistles that are forced on helpless computer buyers that slow down the performance of a new computer. They installed FREE software, put it in a desktop folder and said run these programs every 2 weeks to keep your computer working and virus protected! It is still working great. read more

Had a good experience. My computer fell from a low ottoman to the carpeted bedroom floor, but it broke the charging port and cracked the outer case of the computer. It cost about the same for the computer to be repaired as it would have for a new laptop, but I had square trade, so I figured I might as well get it fixed. The owner was very direct with me about this, which I appreciated. The computer was ready in less than a week, and looked as good as new. read more

NO ONE could trouble shoot our laptop, not showing ANY networks... not our cable company, not Microsoft, Toshiba, or Computer Nerds in a computer chat group. This place figured it out right away. Corrupted Windows Update... why? Because we leave the laptop in hibernation mode as the Windows Update tries to download, this corrupts the files! Awesome store with great customer service. Had to exchange a defective water cooling unit on my pc, brought in a replacement fan and paid for installation only. When they fixed it they noticed another fan was broken and making noise and asked if I was interested in fixing it, they charged me for the fan and exchanged it.
