This was our first time at Your Pie. The pizza was good and reasonably priced, ambiance was decent, the outdoor patio was cute, etc. etc. My boyfriend and I got in a little quarrel outside on the patio, but seeing was the pizza wasn't involved in said altercation I won't demote a star ;). Only issue (and the reason I'm giving it four stars) is that the service was basically non-existent. I'm not saying you have to be super cheery and all smiles, but like... c'mon. Good, simple, and quick pizza! I had an errand to do in Athens and I thought I would stop by! This place is comparable to a subway but it is pizza. Quality, on the other hand, is superb! It was a quick bite for me and I got to decide on the things I wanted on my personal pan pizza! NO SHARING! I never share... The pizza is all made in front of you and the cheese has the melt effects you would see on any Pizza Hut as ever. Definitely recommended for people with short lunch breaks! Gelato is also good, too! I ordered a personal pepperoni pizza and had to wait for almost an hour and by the time they had realized that i had been waiting for so long they gave me rushed pizza with other toppings I didn't ask for. They handed it to me like I was going to dine in when I said multiple times that I needed it to go AND they forgot to give me my side salad. It is also next to a frozen yogurt place which is great for desserts. If you are really hungry, you can start with buffalo wings next door, move over to pizza at your pie, and end with frozen yogurt. After searching for the best pizza in Athens, word of mouth led me to Your Pie over its competitors. While I wasn't blown away by the quality of the ingredients, their wood stone oven created a smoky, crispy crust which was a textural delight to eat. In regards to the ingredients, the marinara sauce was so-so and the basil I asked for was garnish rather than an ingredient. I also had the BBQ chicken pizza and found that pie to be pretty good. I think the price and the portions are justified although some may disagree. Feel free to get the wheat instead of white dough as the taste of the crust is rather negligible. Went on a date to try the pasta. It was a little dry on the sauce but cooked beautifully and I still ate every bite! Love the music. I arrived a couple of minutes early and the girl at the counter was so friendly and professional. I find it very difficult to give Your Pie a solid rating. Let me just tell you a little story called "Janet and Jim Try a New Place." Yesterday I was running errands with aforementioned Jim when our stomachs started rumbling and we knew food would be in our near future. "Let's try that new Your Pie place," I said. "I've heard it's pretty good, and it's nearby." Done. We walked in and immediately started poring over the huge menu on the wall. Here's the scoop on pizza: build-your-own pies start off costing $6. (An obvious blacked-out spot on the menu and the rumor around town would have you believing it costs $5. No longer true.) You pick one sauce (eight varieties), one cheese (but can order more for $1 each), AS MANY VEGGIES AS YOU WANT, and some premium toppings if you desire (those run you $1/each). The folks stretch the dough, ask for your order, and make the pizza right in front of your eyes. Cool concept. Good value if you stick to veggies and one cheese. So the pizza I had (white dough, garlic olive oil sauce, mozzarella cheese, broccoli, black olives, roasted garlic, and red onion) was YUMMY. The side salad I ordered as a part of a combo was really small, served in a flimsy plastic bowl retrieved from the fridge. Next time, if I get a salad at all, I'll add tons of fresh veggies to make it worth the price. Here's the bad stuff: the workers seemed confused and haggard, and there weren't that many people in there waiting for pizzas. The ordering process was confused; I was asked the same question by a few different people but then other issues ("what salad dressing would you like?) were never asked. A couple of to-go pizzas sat on the counter from the time we arrived to the time we sat down. Once I sat, I heard the to-go folks asking about their pizza status. "Oh, they're right here!" said Delivery Girl. "You guys should've said something! They've been here!" Scolded because they were waiting patiently for her to call out their pizza order. Not cool. The longer we sat, the more frustrated we saw the staff become. The perpetually-open-mouthed, vaguely airheadish dough girl left and was replaced by someone who seemed in an instant bad mood. Somehow a pizza got lost in the shuffle and it was up to her to remake it. "White or wheat?" she asked her coworker, obviously put out she had to squeeze in another pizza. No response. "WHITE or WHEAT?!" she yelled rather unprofessionally before rolling her eyes and passive aggressively grabbing a ball of dough and slamming it on the counter. Not cool. So the experience wasn't that great, but the pizza itself was yummy. Probably only worth the price if you get a basic pie with lots of yummy veggies on it and skip the extra cheeses and premium toppings--and don't fall for the $3 salad + drink combo. They've got a hefty assortment: basic, spicy, thai style, etc. Unlimited veggie toppings. Yes please on that pineapple, broccoli, garlic, tomatoes, fresh basil, blah blah blah. About $1 extra for the primo toppings (mostly meat or cheese). Pop that pizza in their huge a$$ oven and voila! Pizza within 10 minutes or less. Tuesdays they've got a special going on where a drink and your pizza is $5. REALLY GOOD DEAL. Highly recommend! I'd have to first start off saying that I am nearly a pizza connoisseur. I've had almost every type you can think of across the country at the most famous pizzerias. First walking into Your Pie the vibe is laid back and the staff were really nice. It's kind of like Moe's but with pizza. You pick your dough and all your ingredients. We had an improvised Margherita pizza. The sauce needs to be a little sweeter and the crust a little thicker horizontally. All in all it was a really great pizza. Your Pie in one word? YUM! First, it seems that Your Pie has definitely worked out some of their service issues since Janet G. visited, as the staff the night of my visit were incredibly friendly, helpful, and did their best to make the entire experience well worth my 6 bucks. I got wheat crust pizza, with pesto sauce, mozzarella, spinach, baby bella mushrooms, tomatoes, and black olives. It was absolutely delicious. The pizzas are personal size (10inches), but mine seemed big enough for two. However, I somehow managed to finish the whole thing. And watching them bake in the oven as you wait to pay is strangely fascinating -consider it dinner and entertainment. The seating is mostly booths, so while the pay at the counter arrangement is convenient for groups, our group of 10 had to scramble a bit for adequate seating. I also have to give props for the really unique and beautiful artwork. They have some really striking paintings of downtown Athens that I would love to have in my apartment. read more

And as the last place I ate in Athens before I drove to the West Coast, Your Pie holds a special place for me. They're usually pretty quick to take your order though fresh-baking the pizza or paninis can be a bit of a wait. Fortunately, the results are usually worth it and the workers have always been really nice. I've tried a few kinds of pizza but I settled on The Nat as my favorite offering. The pesto sauce was especially tasty and most of the time they added the sun-dried tomatoes quite liberally. It may cost $8, but it's enough to fill you up if you're hungry and if you're not it's pretty easy to take portions home. I was disappointed by their paninis though, especially since the "side salad" is nothing more than a few lettuce leaves in a bowl and drenched with oil. I'm also a fan of their soft drinks because they have something I rarely see anymore- Cherry Fanta. You can mix it with Coke for an effective Cherry Coke or just enjoy the unusual cherry drink by itself and marvel in awe at the sight of something other than the standard soft drink lineup. For dessert, they've got a nice selection of gelato. It's kind of random, but quite tasty. There's also a small but cheaply priced selection of alcoholic drinks, specifically beer and wine. They also have free wireless internet, at least at the Baxter Street location, you just have to use their phone number as the password. Now that they've opened up new locations in Five Points and on Broad Street I'm quite jealous of the students now who get to partake in the Your Pie awesomeness every day. read more

The Alps YourPie location is not following safe practices for the COVID19 pandemic. Earlier in the summer I placed a curbside pickup, and it was delivered to me in my car by a YourPie employee not wearing a mask. Today I went in to pick up my order and was just in time to see an employee putting my pizza into a box. Neither she nor the other employee were wearing masks. When I pointed this out, they offered to make it again while wearing masks. When I mentioned that I thought they were legally required to wear masks while preparing food, they said "For the most part, but we're having trouble with our AC." They refunded me my order without any trouble. I do not recommend that anyone who is concerned about the current pandemic patronize this establishment. read more

Why, our eldest child, Bobo, is attending an internship she WON at UGA for biology stuff (something about phosphorescent foam or something like that). So, we all (self plus 5) loaded up the truck and we moved to Beverly. Hills, that is. We hit Mass at the UGA chapel and then went to this place. You go in, pick your dough (white, whole wheat, and gluten free) and then go from there. Pick your sauce, toppings, etc. It was mighty tasty. I got the whole wheat with a white sauce base, extra cheese, feta, pineapple, bacon, pepperoni, green pepper, sweet onions, and anchovies. YUMMO Had a local Terrapin beer and I was ready to curl up and snooze. All the rest of the fam did their gluten free thing and were loving life - we split a Caesar's betwixt us and were members of the clean plate club (well, for some of them, eventually as it's a whole pie). read more

Status: incredibly starving and unfamiliar with Athens. So, we trekked over to this little pizza place because we thought, Hey, how can pizza go wrong? Well, many pizza places CAN go very wrong, but I am happy to say that we really liked Your Pie. At first, we were a little confused as to how to order and I guess we looked pretty lost, since the employee there quickly offered to help. Both guys there were friendly and nice. Pizzas are about 10" and you have choice of white or wheat... it's kind of like making your own sandwich like at Subway, but at a much higher quality. Make your own, or pick something off the menu. You can get a pizza, panini, calzone, salad, and I'm probably missing something else... everything's cooked up in the brick oven. The Ischia is a poor choice for a pizza (boring), but pretty yummy as a calzone. The Hippie pizza is delicious. Calzones are very crispy, thinner than typical calzones, and kind of pita bread-ish. Dough is very, very good. I would say that there is more dough than ingredients involved in these pies/calzones. We came at a weird time (2-ish pm), so there weren't that many people. I would advise coming around then because by the time we left, quite a few people started to trickle in... and I can imagine the line lengthening since a lot of people like to make their own pie and will probably take an overly long time to decide on ingredients. They also have a gelato station with about 10(?) flavors to choose from, though I did not try those since I am not a gelato fan (ice cream FTW!). Good eat! read more

I recently accompanied a friend to the new location on Lumpkin. The employees were all nice, and I loved watching them make my pizza. There's something very authentic about seeing a person's shirt dusted with flour as he/she puts together a pizza and slides it into a brick oven. My friend ordered the Nat and loved it. I ordered the Ischia's Pie, which honestly lacked a little flavor. I think it could have used some more basil. Also, my friend's pizza was loaded with ingredients, whereas mine seemed sparsely strewn with tomato, mozzarella, basil, and the spinach I had requested be added. Too much bread, not enough toppings. I also noticed that the posted menu was much less extensive than the one offered online. Bottom line: I would recommend ordering something other than Ischia's Pie, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from giving this place a shot. read more

I always loved Your Pie and still love eating there when I go back to Athens because it's a great place to get a fresh pizza. The dough is hand-tossed to order and then you watch your pizza get cooked in a brick-oven right in front of you as you stand in line. There's no need to worry about a pie being made ahead of time and simply re-heated later with extra toppings - each pizza is handcrafted here. The selection of toppings is also outstanding. The variety of sauces, vegetables, meats and cheeses is something you wouldn't find at most gourmet pizza restaurants in big cities. Your Pie offers them in a casual atmosphere at an affordable price. Actually, it's much more than affordable. For what you get, this is a great deal. All the pies are 10-inches and most of them range from $7 to $9 depending on the toppings you want. One of my favorites is The Lineage, which features traditional marinara sauce, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, olives, onions, mushrooms and mozzarella. It's a relatively traditional pizza, but it's just one of a number of pizzas I'd recommend. The toppings are delicious and I love the texture and flavor of a pizza crust that's been cooked in a brick oven. This place is AMAZING! There is nothing like being able to make a pizza exactly the way you want it. Sauce, toppings, and all! I tend to like ranch marinara sauce, with onions, tomatoes and pine apple. They have a variety of different sauces to chose from as well as toppings. Many toppings free with the $6 10in pizza, and then many other toppings for an additional charge. I don't even have to look at the additional toppings though because the ones included are enough. You can also get salads and Calzones. They just opened a new location in walking distance from the UGA stadium so it's a great place to hit up for lunch or dinner before or after the games. I don't believe it to be over priced at all. And they take Bulldog Bucks at the new location. Atmosphere is cool. Big fire pit stove. read more

On a number of occasions, I've had acceptable service here, but this night clearly was amateur hour. My server had to ask me what came on the Sputhern Heat pie (one of their specialties). When my pie came out, the server was literally going from table to table asking if the pizza looked like theirs. My wife was still waiting on her pizza (a gluten free) for 5-6 more minutes. I went to check on it, and the employee at the counter gave me the "gluten free takes longer to cook, so give it a few more minutes" routine. It has never taken this long to cook, and I felt I was given the brush off. It was clear no one knew where the pizzas were supposed to go when they came out. My wife went to check again after another 3 or so minutes. Her pie was sitting on the shelf, and had gotten cold and was over cooked. This was not a hectic night at the restaurant. Your pie has some of the best pizzas but unfortunately the employees lack any ounce of cleanliness or basic customer service. They don't wash their hands after sweeping to assist a customer with sales or handling food, it's gross. Employees with long hair don't pull it back or wear a hair net. And they all look unkept as if they employ homeless people. They could do much better on staffing maybe take the chic fil a concept on who they employ. read more
