We ordered two bagels and both were seriously lacking: the bagel itself was stale and wasn't even toasted, and the cream cheese tasted like it came straight from a store-brand tub. We also got two donuts and they were alright. They tasted day-old, though. However, the bigger issue was cleanliness. The floors were visibly dirty, and I could literally see donuts and bagels lying on the ground in the kitchen/prep area. That's a huge red flag for a food establishment. On top of all that, the service was not great--the staff seemed uninterested and not very helpful. It was an awkward experience from the moment we walked in. This visit was incredibly disappointing. I'm sure there are many who love Nigh-Time but I doubt I'll ever go back.

After dinner I tried a slice of Boston crème pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was the perfect finish. What really pushed this place over the top though was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They treated me like a regular who had been coming in for years, even though it was my first time in town. And the value? My entire meal with dessert was only $21.57 before tip. Hard to beat that for a dinner this good.
