SO WHAT?! Why isn't this place packed?! I'm going to be honest, I originally came to the area for another spot and had never even heard of Your Vitamin Lady Kitchen. I walked in with absolutely zero expectations, and somehow ended up having the best meal I ate all week. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, but it definitely feels more like an order/pick-up spot than a place to settle in for a long meal and that fits the vibe perfectly. I took one bite of the turkey chili before I even left the parking lot and literally screamed. Amazing ! Then came the immediate disappointment...because now I have to come back and try everything on the menu. Unfortunately, the camera didn't eat first this time, but that's just another reason I'll be back very soon. If this first experience is any indication of what's to come, YVLK is seriously a hidden gem that deserves way more attention. read more

Parking: Free, its a parking strip shared by a few other restaurants with not many parking spots Hours: Wednesay-Saturday, 11am-8pm Price Range: $5 & up I luv this place as they have the The Vitamin Lady Herb Shop located at 392 Auburn Ave, which is where I first started eating these meals and they have expanded to The Vitamin Lady Kitchen. After speaking to one of the owners Torrey they will be opening another location not to far from The Vitamin Lady Shop where they will sell some different food items as well as have demonstrations. That was very exciting to hear and I cant wait to see the new location & attend some of the demonstrations. The food is fresh, seasoned well and the food is made fresh to order. They really focus on food that are made for your specific blood type. They also make juiced juices/tonics that taste amazing, my only issue is one of the ingredients says 1 tsp of cane sugar. They have no beef, pork or chicken products on the menu. The meats they do carry are Salmon, Lamb & Turkey. They have soups, chilli, stews, tacos, pasta, stir frys, deserts, turkey lasanga & salads. They definitely have something for every one. The food they carry are foods to reduce inflammation in the body. They are all about letting the 'Food Be Your Medicine'. The place is small but big enough that they do have a communal table where you can sit down to eat your food. They alsk have a communal table out of the restaurant that is covered where you can eat. The staff is very friendly & customer service is top notch. This go round I had the Turkey Perlo which was made fresh and tasted amazing the bowl was full and I was able to eat on it for 3 meals, I had also got a vegetable stir-fry which is not on the menu & the Vegetable Stew. Which worked for me at that time because I could on eat veggies, they were both seasoned well & tasted great. You definitely should go by and try a couple of different items off of the menu and make sure to pick up Torrey's Tonics which are $5 each or 6/$25. Come back and thank me later. Came across this spot while browsing Yelp & decide to stop by when I was in the area. Located in the small plaza behind Wylie & Rum, my Apple Maps took me directly to the address with no problem. Parking is hectic! Very limited parking depending on day/time you go so have patience as you may have to wait for someone to leave to get a spot. Clean restaurant, has two fridges of grab-n-go items, seating areas and ordering kiosk. This visit I just wanted to try the key lime goat cheesecake ($10) and also grabbed one of their tonic drinks ($5). The cashier wasn't overly friendly but nice enough to bag my items. This was my first time having goat cheesecake. It was pricey, but very good. I almost prefer it's tanginess over regular cheesecake. Not overly sweet, graham cracker crust was crunchy, crumbly & fresh. The tonic I got had soursop, coconut milk & ginger. So good! The drink fridge is separated by what it helps with & lists the blood type on the packaging. Worth the $5 for sure. I'll definitely be back to try their food, got my eye on the lasagna. read more

Truly fantastic! Seriously! Just go. We had the lamb tacos, brussel sprouts and kale salmon salad. Every bite was a journey. The tacos are still on my mind. It's beyond what you expect in a taco. The brussels may be the best I have ever tasted, who knew a brussel sprout was even capable of being that flavorful?! Went to Atlanta for a quick work trip and was looking for a local place to eat and yelp had the "Your Vitamin Lady Kitchen" on it. The pics looked amazing so we went. The people in there were delightful and explained how the menu was made. Which foods were the best for the different blood types. The food was delicious and the portions were more than enough. The nutritional drinks were served in an IV bag which was unique. The place was clean and well thought out with some outside seating, weather permitting. A place like this would do well back in the DC/Maryland area. The prices were affordable for what you get. read more

So it looks like there are two locations. The Auburn Ave location had very limited hours I think they're open from Thursday-Sunday. The Moreland Ave location seems to be the newest and was open this past Wednesday. The space is cute, clean and fresh. Very open and light feel to it. There is some indoor seating at a bench but there are some tables on the patio outside. I found the menu to be refreshing and much needed amongst the other food options in the area. The menu is tailored by blood type and offers a variety of healthy and balanced food options from soups, salads, plates, desserts and tonics. I ordered the soup and salad combo with the jerk lamb chili and they yvl salad. I also ordered the phenomenal Key Lime Goat Cheesecake. Everything was so flavorful and delicious and o left feeling nourished and satisfied. Pricing is a bit higher but for the quality and variety of healthy food options it was well worth it. Parking is free in the adjacent parking lot is as surprised to see it packed on an early Wednesday afternoon. I am looking forward to visiting again in the near future. read more

I'm obsessed with this place, the vibe, the food and overall the health consciousness. Today I ordered the lamb lasagna after trying the lamb soup yesterday from their vitamin shop location. I woke up dreaming about this soup, that's how good it is!!
