Food was just ok, with so many other Chinese and Thai options nearby we were expecting better. Price was fair, service was prompt and it was quite enough to enjoy a conversation without yelling. I was skeptical about this place because the building does look almost abandoned. However the inside of the building was decent. They had a lot of tables but the place seemed to be a little cluttered. I was impressed with the very quick service and cheap prices. The food was okay. I had the appetizer combo which was a great selection of items that I enjoyed all of. The ham friend rice was lacking a little flavor, but the sweet and sour chicken was pretty good. My wife and I were looking for alternatives to the burger drive-ins and so-so Mexican in Payson while our son was in the hospital. Checked out Crane Garden and were pleasantly surprised. As a few people have mentioned, the exterior is in need of a rescue, but the food and service were great! I ordered a few rolls - price was reasonable and the quality was good for Utah. (We just moved back after 15 years in New England, so our expectations are kind of high for all things seafood.) Soft shell crab, spicy tuna, and eel were definite highlights! I personally think it's good for the area. The sushi isn't bad, but could have more flavor options to really be great. But all in all, great for a local small town sushi place. I'm all for supporting local!! It can get crowded quick, given how small the establishment is. However, can't fault them for that since it's located in a small town. Nov 30-this place just opened 3 days ago so they are still working out the kink's on the flow of things. Came in for dinner with 3 family members, waited awhile for the waitress to come over. We all ordered different Chinese Dinners which comes with rice, a spring role, soup and your main dish. My dish was the sweet & sour chicken. The flavor was good, however it should have had pineapple chucks, bell pepper & onions in it for the counter balance of for the sweet & sour. My father ordered the orange chicken which had these items. He is a local and said it was very good as they don't the current place they go to. This place has a Sushi bar and I saw some of the amazing rolls coming out of the kitchen a better place. After they figure out the flow they place will be hopping even more then the liquor license is approved in 3 weeks. I will be back! read more

I am not sure what people expect from a Chinese place in the middle of a small town in UT, but this place is fine. It's not great, it's not terrible, it just is. The prices are good, the quantities are a little small though. I got my food to go and it was ready right when they said it would be, and it was hot. Food is fair to good, portion sizes are small. Order extra if you want to get full. A lunch bento box is not enough food for a meal, add a couple of sushi rolls to get enough to eat. Sushi is small too. They advertise their sushi is 50% off. That is not 50% off the price it is 50% off the size. Prices are about the same as anywhere else but size is smaller. Today I ordered the Bento Box Teriyaki Salmon lunch to go. The menu says it is served with California Roll, Miso soup, Salad, & Steamed Rice. When I got home and opened the two take out boxes there was no miso soup (minus 1 star) as miso soup is an essential part of the meal whilst aiding in fat & carb digestion. There were two salmon steaks, but both are drowned in teriyaki sauce! I guess they are trying to compensate for how DRY and Smelly they were! (minus 1 star). The steamed rice had a good sized scoop, but it was so dry it was hard to choke down without drowning it in soy sauce. (minus 1 star). The picture showed a whole california roll, more like 1/3 was included. Mediocre at best the sticky rice on the roll was one layer and very dry. The inside ingredients were very fishy tasting like they haven't been iced for a while. I hate to say it but I've had grocery store sushi better than this! (minus 1 star). The star that was deserved was the lettuce and dressing. I won't subtract a star for the under ripe tomato on the salad as the salad and dressing were very tasty. I won't be back as I'd rather drive 20 miles to a Japanese cafe that does a better job at everything for a few bucks more! Get what you pay for! read more

My family just had a nice dinner at Crane Garden. Everything we had was good! Service was fast and friendly. We tried variety of sushi rolls which tasted fresh and Chinese dishes were also good. Good portion and quality for the price. This place is so much better than your normal take out Chinese food, and you'll get better food for about the same price. I love this local spot! It's one of the only non-chain restaurants in the area that I frequent because it is so good that I am always craving it. Everything has been tasty and delicious-I love the variety in the sushi menu and my family really enjoy the bento boxes, which come with generous sides. The dine in service is always efficient, even on a busy weekend. I've also done several pick-up orders and it is always ready at the specified time. Don't get scared off by the seemingly overgrown garden outside, it's what's on the inside that will blow you away! read more

This place is absolutely terrible. For whatever reason, the manager can't seem to keep any staff around. The first time I came I had good service, but yesterday it was just one lady who was difficult to communicate with. The food is poor quality. It does not taste very good, and since there aren't enough servers, it comes out cold. When you complain to the "manager," she doesn't seem to care about your concerns. When management is so blatantly unconcerned to a customers face, it makes me wonder how she treats the staff. The people working here look miserable. read more

The egg drop soup and the hot and sour soup were both wonderful. We've gone twice now and greatly enjoyed the food both times.

The sushi was OK but you have to get past the front door. Pulled up and was greated by some straw bales from last fall by the front door. Worse yet was that the straw bales were covered by rotting pumpkins and gourds - very unappetizing! Clean the joint up a bit and you might have something folks. read more
