I had…read morecompletely forgotten about the appointment because I decided to not return to Dr. Pritchett for the treatment he recommended because, I did not trust his ability to do it, or if I needed it. Also: The X-ray system used was ancient, painful and extremely inefficient. He still has the old system with the cardboard x-ray film, the kind they have to shove into your mouth to get the picture. Very uncomfortable, and it took a long time. I questioned the assistants actual training. Second: When Dr.Pritchett did not directly introduce himself. He mumbled a greeting as he stood out of my sight behind the chair. Third: he started cleaning my teeth with the jet water spray system. This system can be very painful if the Dr. does not know or Care how hard the spray is. I told him, but he said that was the system he used. When I told him to stop he said something like 'I guess I can go back to the old way using tools.' I would not recommend Dr.Pritchett. to any one. After declining to pay the late charge, I reconsidered and I asked if he would settle the late charge for $50.00? He declined stating that $100.00 is the policy. I really object to the charge on the grounds that this fee seems excessive and it was such a poor visit. The leftover taste in my mouth after this appointment was very unpleasant and decisive. It was my mistake to not act on my reaction and a cancel while it was on my mind. Lesson Learned.

They are painstaking about the work they do, he is a perfectionist! He was ridiculously fair, got me in next day, meticulous!!! He even made my temporaries right in my mouth, & they looked better than real teeth!!! I would have just kept those! But what I got were zirconia with no metal!!! No black, receding line! Ever! I'm leaving this review because I stumbled on his yelpsite while looking for ortho and was surprised by the low stars. Majority of the low reviews seem like billing or scheduling issues, which seem more front office related. I did personally did not have any issues with the front office or feel rushed, but these concerns made by others do seem valid. If I had been aware of what she was doing last year when she did it I'd have stopped it but she covered up her issues well. Now she has a huge unnecessary debt & is in a care facility that will drain her financially but is totally necessary. The Dr didn't question the expenditure. One instance, I inquired about something different from what I came in for, the dentist did work on it right away to my surprise, and of course deducted the cost from my prepaid funds. There were billing errors that happened more than once, being overcharged, even when they say you get a discount. Getting my refund took time because of "corporate" office approval wait. Then I get charged for "periodontal" work $184 when I received basic cleaning - I know full well the difference. I specifically told them that I only want cleaning. With my last appointment I called first to make sure, again she said $184, and I said I want cleaning only then qouted $131. Ok so I go in for basic cleaning, upon being seated, the hygienist said that I'm due for an Xray. I told her I'd rather not at this time as I had extensive work done in their office already. She said my last xray was a year ago. I said it's not necessary, then she calls in the new dentist whom I never met before, and I felt ganged up on both convincing me. I said I'm willing to do it next time or in a year. I asked if they will do cleaning without Xray for now, again they insisted with no regard to what I wanted. So I stood up and quickly walked away. The way they made me feel was awful. This was the final straw for me. I definitely relate to what others are saying about Broad St Smiles. The worst dentist ever. Overcharged me! I'm left with pain, and I need to hire another dentist to…read morefix the problem. This dentice twice gave me a verbal quote of $4,200, $2,100 per tooth, to build two teeth to be installed over completed dental implants. Within two weeks I was billed for the first tooth in the amount of $2,680 instead of $2,100, but I was told by the assistant that was the price with no explanation. I paid the bill reluctantly. I wrote a letter to the dentist saying the fitting process was extremely painful and it took over two hours. He never explained the reason. I was asked to pay the balance of $2,680, again, more than his original quote. It turns out that the tooth was oversized and did not fit, but the dentist didn't admit it until I returned for a consultation months later. He admitted that tooth was not seated all the way and food would penetrate underneath it, and could cause infection. It's has been very painful from the start. The dentist suggested having an adjace nt tooth shaved but he wanted to charge for that third tooth even though he caused the problem. So now, one year later, I am stuck with the pain, and must hire another dentist and pay more money to have the mistake fixed.
