Yucaipa Valley Golf Club was extremely disappointing. The course itself is actually not bad; layout was decent and greens were ok/meh. Seriously if you're not local to the area don't bother driving down, it's not worth the time, effort, and expensive tee time for what this place is. We ended up waiting a ridiculous 45 minutes just to start because they didn't have any carts. And when we finally got one? Gross. It was full of trash from the last group. Seriously, the management needs to figure out how to run a golf course. There was one person doing literally everything: running the counter, running the bar, the whole deal! That's just cutting corners, and it totally explains all the delays and chaos we dealt with. As for the course, it was fine. I thought the greens were average and provided a good variety of holes. Bugs were everywhere and not just your regular ones; we're talking multiple legs, flying, and just nope. I would highly suggest avoiding this course, you'll find greener and better courses elsewhere. read more

Ridiculously slow. Played on a random Wednesday and teed off at 11am. It took us over 3 hours to finish the front nine holes. There was no Marshall, twosomes were going out in front of us that had tee times after us. There was no one on the course making sure played at the pace of play they were supposed to. When you are paying over $70 a round mid week, I would expect that at the very least have a starter. We asked for half our money back or credit after the first 9 holes and they said no. My suggestion is make sure you carve out at lease 7 hours to play at these course and bring your patiences. read more

Terrible management here. We had two tee times 1:39pm and 1:48pm. We checked in at the pro shop and the guy said we can start once there are golf carts, there weren't any. This guy just disappeared after telling us this, and the only person left was a lady manning the bar and food orders. I think he left bc he knew it was about to a shitshow. We see people finishing hole 18 and parking their carts in random areas and leaving. We figured there'd be someone cleaning out the carts of previous people's trash and directing the next tee time. It's 230pm now...and we went up to the pro shop to ask what's going on, to get any information at all, rude ass disgusting lady (not the bar one) told us "well you're gonna just have to tough it out" gave us no useful information and proceeded to text on her phone. Tee time after us went in and cancelled and got a refund, looked like locals. The lady didn't care, seemed happy to lose customers. WE SHOULD HAVE CANCELLED! but we drove out all this way ~70 miles. Other tee times just grabbed random carts and cut us, I don't blame them. We ended up cleaning out the carts of empty drink containers and trash ourselves and went off to the course. Even the staff who was watching the start at hole 1 left. Seems like everyone just abandoned their post except the lady working the bar. Tee boxes were poorly maintained, wasn't leveled. Most greens were just barely playable. There's a lot of insects/bugs around. Tiny spider infestation. Bug in the carts too. Bring bug spray (actually just don't come here). Random locals in their own golf cart speeding through the hole just for fun?!? (They didn't have any golf clubs.) We couldn't even finish all 18 holes since it got dark. Felt scammed. Could be a good course if they'd fix management. read more

This is a nice little course and is typically in pretty good shape, all things considered, and the greens are much better than average. It's got a nice layout overall and is challenging without being too hard for the average golfer. The price is OK - not great, but not outrageous. All things being equal, this could be a terrific place for a round of golf. So, why the 2-star rating? As a local resident who has played here over the course of 25+ years (basically since it first opened), I can say this with confidence and credibility: be prepared for a MUCH longer round of golf than you have any right to expect. How on earth should a two-some on a weekday mid-morning round take 4+ hours to finish? No starter, so five-somes aren't uncommon and no ranger to help speed things along, that's how. On the weekends, you can legitimately expect to play at least 1/2 hour to an hour longer than a round should take (they are NOTORIOUS for over-booking). Also, little things like not monitoring folks for proper dress code and expensive food/drinks just take away from what should be a great day of golf every time. Love this course but it's just not worth the time (and frustration)... read more

Yucaipa is a decent course. Sometimes it's nice, sometimes it's decent. We were stuck behind 3 golfers and their play was slow. Slow enough so that we had to wait to hit on almost every ball. This is where Yucaipa Valley lacks a Marshall to keep game play at a decent pace. But Yucaipa Valley wants to charge over 50$ !? This is my main issue. Way too pricey for what this place is. Nice course but also lots of people out here that slow the game down. Which is fine, but not for over $50$. They have a membership that for $200 (increasing to $280 next week) you can hold for $38 every time. Sorry. Yucaipa Valley is not worth $38. I'll come around every now and then but for these prices, I'd rather golf at Tukwet. Way nice course and amenities for the price. read more

This public golf course is set in the foothills of Yucaipa California with beautiful views of Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. The greens are fast and true. The fairways are generous and well maintained by the greens keeper's. The only drawback might be the sand traps which need sand added to them. The pro shop and cart staff are extremely friendly and professional. read more

While this is a nice course and I don't play here often, it's seems it's the same slow play. Played here today, a Monday and it was nauseating to have to wait for 2 groups on holes to hit and head out while we waited on the tee box. The timing to slam groups together at this course does kit work. Another 5 minutes minimum between groups is needed. And let's not talk about the weekend rush, even worse sometimes. So if you play here, it's going to take a while until it changes! read more

I needed 2 carts for 2 players due to some medical reasons. Person on the phone told me no problem. Once I arrived the woman in the pro shop refused to honor the 2 carts request. read more

I have been a member for a long time here and Called to make tee times for 20 people 2 months prior to the date I requested talked to Juliet she informed me that everything was set up and good to go for my group called to double check they had me down for my times just to be told that there was never a tee time made good thing I called before showing up with 20 people and not have tee times if she isn't capable of making tee times for people then she shouldn't be answering the phone or working in the clubhouse now I have to find a course to accommodate my group since she dropped the ball on this and this isn't the first time she has done this to me or my group pretty ridiculous to tell the customer they have times when she never put it in the system she needs to go back to being a cart girl because she clearly can't handle the clubhouse position terrible service read more

We've given this course quite a few chances, but after last weekend we will not be returning. Each time we have called to inquire about tee times/prices, Shelby has given misinformation. Always says a lower price on the phone, then in person when you go to pay it's all of a sudden higher. Her excuse each time was "you must have misheard me". To test the theory I called twice within a 30 minute time frame. First call, Shelby answered and said the next tee time available would be $47 per player. Called back shortly thereafter and someone else answered, told me the same exact tee time was $32. Course is nice but have noticed the frequent players have no etiquette, carts are obnoxiously loud. Overall just not worth the headache and price point. read more

I was just told by staff that in order to dissuade more people from becoming rewards members, they have decided to almost double the rewards member price over the past two years. This is some great logic for someone who's has been a member for many years. A real disappointment to us locals that would love to continue supporting this course. Love this course. People are great, employees are great and it's always in good shape. I will continue to keep playing here. My only gripe: please invest in better carts. Many of them are beat up and the suspension is worn on most causing scary drives in them. The rates went up so I would hope some of this money will be invested back into these carts. read more

Homeowner on the course here! Today, a golfer dressed in all red with red shoes shattered my child's window with his red golf ball (which is here in my house). Glass flew everywhere, and thank God my children were not home at the time. I called the course and informed them that this happened, and that I have photos. I was told that the course is not responsible and that I need to come over to the course and confront the golfer MYSELF. How is this safe or appropriate?
