Disappointing Service--Again! Once again, we've experienced serious issues with customer service at this restaurant. How can you advertise a new menu addition without being prepared to serve it properly? We came hoping for improvement, but nothing has changed. Each visit has been a disappointment. We ordered five döner wraps for our family. They arrived separately, and only one plate had French fries. When we asked about the missing fries, the staff simply said, "They're not ready!" After a long wait, they finally arrived--with just a tiny bit of ketchup on the bottom of the saucer. No napkins were provided--we had to ask. Our İskender arrived without utensils--we had to wait and eventually request them. Desserts were served, but once again--no spoons! This level of service is unacceptable. Shameful! read more

Saw an article on the Klein Community Impact newspaper and we are always looking for new restaurants and new flavors, so my wife, sister in law and I went on Sunday 12-15-24 around 6pm. The place is very clean and cozy. The service was excellent, the food even better. we tried the Lamb chops, the Lamb Shish and the meat wrap. All great!! Their rice pudding is different from what we had tried, but excellent. Also the hot Turkish tea, never tried it before, now I love it. Their rice is very different but with a lot of flavor. The owner was extremely courteous and friendly. You guys need to try this new gem, you won't regret it. We for sure will go back!! read more

It's a small place and it was quite busy with several tables including a large party, so the staff was really busy. They worked hard and seemed to operate efficiently, but we did spend a lot of time there. Everything was fresh and made to order. We tried several appetizers - the Halloumi was sooo good!! There is not a single thing which is on the menu which is not some of the best Turkish/Mediterranean food I have ever had. The chef is often bringing out things he wants us to try. I have never eaten Turkish food before so I didn't know what to expect. First impression of the restaurant is that it was very nicely decorated. I ordered a mint lemonade and it was really good. The food was also good. I was really wanting to try some Turkish baklava, but they were out. Service was timely. Overall our experience was good. I was very excited about this place when I saw the reviews and when I walked in to the beautiful decor. The ambiance is very upscale and clean. This place used to be a donut shop so the transformation is amazing. I wanted to love this place and I still think it may have potential. My issue was the long wait time for our food and the pricing of their appetizer. Kibbeh was 6.95 and they only gave us 1! I don't know why I didn't take a picture of it but I was furious when I saw this tiny little thing cut in half. I would have expected at the very least 2 of them. It was good but not worth $7. It's not an appetizer it's an appeteaser haha. I ordered the lunch meat wrap. $14 and it came with a drink so the price on that was decent. It was a long wait but when we finally got our food the fries were ice cold! They obviously made the fries before the wraps when it should have been the other way around. There is nothing worse than cold fries. The salad greens were fresh but only olive oil as dressing is not for everyone. I think this place has potential to be great but they do need to fix a few things. I will most likely try again and update my review. read more

Whoa! is the best way to sum up my experience eating at Yucca Grill with my Turkish friends and spouse last night. I eat a lot of traditional BBQ and soul food, so I can honestly say that this place is up there on my list of favorites. I can genuinely give this place a five-star review based on the ambiance, service, and food. I apologize for the length of this review, but I had to share this little-unknown gem with everyone. We entered Yucca Grill and were greeted by a friendly atmosphere right away. The restaurant's layout, which combines family-style dining with "date night" seating, is ideal. The background music, a tasteful blend of modern and classical jazz, was a bonus for me. In actuality, the music served as a background accent that didn't overtake our table conversation. Jazz music, indeed. At Yucca Grill, the service was excellent. Our waiter greeted us with genuine warmth and hospitality as soon as we stepped in. Second, based on our preferences, our server made fantastic recommendations and was well-versed in the menu. Remember that our friends also provided us with some other suggestions/history which was a bonus. From the timely refilling of water glasses and frequent table visits to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, the attention to detail was astounding. The fact that the owner, chef, and owner's daughter came to our table individually to ensure we were happy with the meal and service is also worth mentioning. Without a doubt, the cuisine at Yucca Grill is the real attraction. I could taste the Turkish culinary history in every dish we chose, which was made with high-quality ingredients and real spices. This is my way of saying the taste was very distinct... We started with a variety of appetizers before our meal. Each one is a must try: 1. Grilled halloumi cheese, served with honey 2. Bulgur balls, doubt (Turkish version of boudin balls with a twist) 3. Stuffed grape leaves The freshly baked, warm pita bread went well with every appetizer. For the main course, we indulged with the Mixed grill, and Chicken Kulbasti The mixed grill was truly the smorgasbord of Turkey. All the meats were grilled to perfection, juicy and tender with a delightful smoky char. The accompanying rice pilaf was fluffy and aromatic. We had some typical Turkish treats to round out our dinner. We asked to sample a little bit of everything from our waiter. We were told that all the desserts are homemade... The baklava was amazing; it was layers of crispy pastry filled with chopped nuts and covered in sweet syrup. The kunefe, a cheese pastry with crushed pistachios on top and dipped in sweet syrup, was the ideal combination of sweet and savory. The waiter insisted that we take home the actual ramekin that the rice pudding dessert was served in because we stuffed and could not finish all the desserts. Yes, I will return it without the pudding tomorrow morning. Yucca Grill provides outstanding value for the money when taking into account the quality of the food, the exceptional service, and the ambiance. The entire eating experience is well worth the cost, and the portion sizes are generous! For those looking for a genuine and unforgettable Turkish dining experience, Yucca Grill is a hidden gem. Very happy to see a promising new spot in this area. The space itself is beautiful- bright, clean, and warmly decorated with a lovely green velvet bench along one wall. We enjoyed the complimentary bread with the zesty red pepper dip. Food is beautifully plated and the entrees easily feed 2 people. Their house salad was delicious- high quality mixed greens with tomatoes and feta or goat cheese in a very high quality olive oil dressing. We ordered the beef and chicken as well as the fries with tziki sauce. Everything was well cooked and good quality. However, everything, other than the fries, was majorly undersalted/seasoned. Unfortunately, there wasn't even salt and pepper on the table so we couldn't even season it ourselves. We enjoyed the food but next time may bring our own salt to really enjoy it! We tried the mint lemonade- it was good but not worth the 6.95 price tag. The service was very warm and welcoming. They literally opened days ago so I'm sure they're still getting into their groove. Solid Turkish spot in a part of town where nothing of this quality is around. There is Zamani and Zara but neither is very good. This is a great addition from that perspective. Ambiance is very nice and wish them the best. Main area of improvement is to have more sauces that come with their dishes. Just wanted to say I am only giving 1 star because of service. Food is excellent don't get me wrong but we were just there about 20 minutes ago on this day 5/17/25 and their water and waitress were a bit rude and unfriendly towards us. So when they first set us down they asked for our drinks and my wife asked for coffee and the waiter replied that they didn't have coffee and if she wanted coffee for her to go to the coffee shop next door which was very rude of his part. Next we they served us some delicious bread which were like baguette but small and round very delicious with some spread and appetizers came out, finished the bread and we asked the waiter for more bread please and he was walking by with the waitress and she goes and grabs a basked of bread from one of the tables that had just emptied and walked inside the kitchen like she grabbed a new one and brings it to our table and we noticed the bread was cold not hot like the ones we received the first time. We noticed every other customer in the restaurant at the time where middle eastern and their service was excellent towards them but not towards us. It's a really nice place and like I said the food is excellent they just really need to treat every customer the same. read more
