My family LOVES Zamani! We've been to a LOT of Middle Eastern restaurants around Houston and this is by far our favorite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, tucked away in a little shopping strip off the beaten path, but the food is phenomenal and the service is always friendly. I always get the lamb kofta kabob because it is perfectly delectable, tender, and juicy. The shawarma is delicious as well. All of the sides we've tried have been great, but my favorites are the rice, hummus, and the delightfully bright tabbouleh. Our family loves Zamani. The food is tooo good. We order here at least 2-3 times a week. Service is always friendly, and helpful. Go to meals: chicken tikka kabob plate with rice and fatoush salad. Beef koobideh, with tabouleh and hummus. The baba ganoush is delicious. And you absolutely cannot go wrong with the shawarma sandwich. Honestly, the entire menu is delicious, but those are just some of my favorites. The international market attached to the store is very convenient as well and they sell the very best halal meat on the northside of Houston. The ambiance is very nice on the restaurant side, just a few few tables available, looks like a hole in the wall, but I promise you the service and quality of food will make up for that! read more

First and foremost Adam is an absolute professional! One of the best client service experiences I have had in a very long time and this is coming from someone go goes to a lot of restaurants! I was very impressed with Adam and his abilities. Good: the chicken kabob plate is absolutely amazing and for the price it's the best deal in the NW side of Houston. You get two freshly grilled chicken skewers that taste amazing. Seasoned to perfection. Every bite is great. So much protein and so good. You get two sides as well. My go have been hummus and the rice. Which are exceptional as well! Full of flavor and amazing. Comes with pita bread and veggies as well. The garlic sauce and hot sauce are amazing. I am telling you right now the food is great. So fresh and so amazing. If you have not tried this restaurant I suggest you give them a try asap. You will really enjoyed the food here. The strip center where this restaurant is located is poorly maintained and now I'm not surprised to have seen a roach. A great dining experience combines not only good food but even better sanitation. That is not maintained at Zamani. Very unfortunate to not remain a customer. read more

This is the first time I've been here that I was actually disappointed, and I've come here a lot since they opened years ago. I like to frequent independently owned local places, but this is one time I wish I had driven to Willowbrook area and went to Dimassi's, at least their pita is fresh. Todays pita was SO tough to chew! I even had trouble tearing it apart by hand. additionally, the chicken was so dry it was almost as tough to chew as the pita. The Greek salad was fine, but that was the only thing "good" about todays meal, unfortunately. I used to recommend this place to everyone - I won't anymore. Evidently they no longer use ice for the drinks - the tea is slightly chilled in the dispenser. What was really frustrating is that I thought I had ordered a chicken schwarma with pita and hummus on the side and a Greek salad on the side, but I guess not. Maybe their numbers don't correspond to the same meals on the cook's end. All in all, that was a disappointing way to spend $15! This is the first time I didn't even eat everything here because in the past it used to be THAT good. Oh well, mark this place off the list of go to places. read more

This has been one of my family's favorite spots for years. The shawarma, rice, tabbouleh salad, pickled veggies and garlic sauce are soooooo good! If we haven't eaten from here in a little while my mouth starts to water for it. The market connected to it next door has a lot of items for those that are familiar with Lebanese cuisine. We personally are not but we do enjoy going in there from time to time and grabbing a few items/snacks to try ourselves. The first time I came here was in 2009 and I was thoroughly disappointed. I'm pretty sure I had schawarma, but I couldn't tell you anything about it. I'm glad I decided to give it another shot though, because now I'm a huge fan! I've had the kofta kabobs and the mixed grill plate. Both plates came with rice and some crunchy veggies like carrots and cauliflower. The kofta kabob plate had hummus, which was tasty. The fattoush salad comes with the mixed grill, and it was the only thing I had that wasn't great. It was kind of warm and needed some salt. But regarding the important stuff...their kabobs were some of the best I've ever had. The mixed grill plate had lamb, chicken, and beef kabobs. I have no idea which kabob was beef or lamb, but the kofta kabobs are so flavorful! However, my favorite are the chicken--it's juicy and flavorful, while still having that nice grill char, which I was not expecting. The simple lamb/beef chunk kabob was pretty good, but not as flavorful as the others. I would definitely recommend grabbing a jar of the green stuff (za'atar) and sprinkling that all over your rice...ugh...love it. I felt kind of pathetic that while I was in the midst of eating, I was already wondering when I can come back and get more kabobs. Between this place and Alwadi, I can finally get my Mediterranean cravings satisfied in Northwest Houston. read more
