All of their donuts are beautifully presented. The portions are absolutely massive and they all have a generous amount of icing/topping. The customer service was friendly and welcoming. The raspberry lime, had freeze dried raspberries and lime zest on top. The lime was subtle, but I enjoyed the donut more because of that. The texture was more airy than a traditional yeast donut. The blueberry cheesecake, had a creamy cream cheese filling, which I tremendously enjoyed. Both donuts weren't too sweet. I personally enjoy my pastries warmed up slightly, so that is how I would recommend enjoying these. Just make sure to not over heat them because you want the icing to remain intact. Something that I noticed was that the donuts were a bit oily on the outer layer, but the donut overall was a bit drier than I'd like. I believe the outside is oily due to the frying process of making the donut. I'd definitely go back, but the donut itself could be a touch better. When I go back I want to try their deep fried cinnamon bun (only available on Sunday), and their big ass apple fritter. This is a grab and go type of place. 5 stars for customer service and presentation. 3.8 stars for the donut pastry itself. read more

we were invited over to a friend's place for an intimate dinner for six and she had a non descript box on her kitchen table after dinner. curious, i took a peak and saw these six beautiful, mouth watering donuts, taunting me, 'you want a piece of me'?! full disclosure, i wanted to try every flavour, but we were all so full from our lovely dinner. our friends had made their way to new west to pick these babies up earlier in the day and raved about how good they were. she said it's a hardworking couple that makes these brioche donuts from scratch, daily, and how their morning starts at an ungodly hour. my gf makes a visit to yum gourmet donuts at least once a month and said they rotate their flavours often. their fave is the massive apple fritter, but it was sold out. in this box was a thoughtfully curated selection of festive holiday cheer. the flavours include the following: top row, from left to right chocolate grand marnier eggnog cheesecake white chocolate peppermint bark bottom row, from left to right hot chocolate and marshmallow chocolate caramel shortbread nannies trifle i was tempted to cut in to all these donuts but didn't want to butcher them as many of these donuts were cream filled. i carefully quartered the pink donut with whip cream, raspberry, vanilla sponge, and jam with surgical precision. the donut was soft and had a light cream filling that wasn't overly sweet. i will need to make a mental note to check out yum gourmet donuts on 468 east columbia street in new west when we're in the neighbourhood. read more

On the spectrum of Vancouver donut shops, they're more expensive than Lee's on Granville Island or Harmony donuts in upper North Van, and even pricier than Cartems which I find on par taste wise. I won't begrudge a donut shop though and it's great for the area. I'll be back to try more... read more

I've been meaning to try out this new doughnut shop in New West ever since they opened. I ended up getting the strawberry vanilla bean, raspberry rock water pistachio, and cinnamon streusel crunch. Although they were good, I felt they were quite overpriced compared to Lees on Granville Island and Honeys in North Vancouver and not as good as Cartems or Luckys. This place has been highly recommended and the line up proved how popular this place is. Prices are reasonable, donuts are huge, and the owner was incredibly friendly! We got several flavours: oreo, strawberry pop tart, pineapple upside down cake, raspberry lime, and vegan apple fritter and blueberry lemon. My rating is based on the donut to topping ratio. The donuts are hefty but the donut itself is very plain. Not too much flavour. The apple fitter is ginormous but its mostly dough. The blueberry lemon is the perfect size but the lemon overpowers the entire thing. Not sure its my type of donut. Very popular place though so expect a line! read more

These donuts are amazing! The pictures don't do them justice. They are huge! I actually gasped when I saw them because I'm used to gourmet donuts being small. Not these ones - they are extremely generously portioned and delicious. They are brioche donuts and the flavors rotate weekly. You order through Instagram or through Facebook and the whole process is super easy. Moreover, their customer service is excellent. Honestly, all of the donuts were amazing, but my favorites were probably the Pineapple Upside Down, the Strawberry Cheesecake, and the Apple Fritter. The donuts themselves were soft and pillowy, but with a good chew. These are definitely high quality donuts and I highly recommend checking them out. The baker's husband was telling me that his wife was a pastry chef and you can definitely tell. Can't wait to try more of their flavors! read more

We tried a raspberry, apple fritter and a key lime filled donut. The flavours for the toppings are nice and unique and it definitely feels like they make them with care. I find the donut dough a bit weird. Not sure what flour they use but the donut itself tasted like stale bread. This seemed to make the apple fritter (which is huge) really greasy. It's almost like the bread soaked up all the grease it was fried in. I had an upset stomach after but it could have been a coincidence. I'll give them another try someday but we were a bit disappointed since we saw the huge lineups and really thought we had a great new donut place in new west. read more
