We take our AKC cocker spaniels (champions and grand champions) to her exclusively because of the great service, the intention put into the appointments, and reasonable pricing. Her daughter Danielle is also a great veterinarian here as well. They have handled everything from normal checkups to c-sections for us. The staff stays very active and busy, but barring any unexpected and serious emergencies, they run pretty close to on time. This is not a cookie-cutter corporate nightmare. This is a home-like environment with a down to earth group of people who are amazing at what they do. I would not trust my canine best friends with anyone else. read more

I'm 64 and have owned dogs for a few decades in 9 different states. Kathy Openring is hands down the best vet I've ever met. I had been taking one of my dogs to a vet in Mexico, because it's so much cheaper and they had literally been trying to diagnose her for years, finally deciding she needed hip surgery. It took Kathy approximately 1/2 hour to figure out the problem which we them confirmed with x-rays. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I find their staff to be outstanding, especially Jason who is amazing with laser therapy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My dog gets so relaxed she falls asleep. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not only was I overcharged for routine services, but the staff was also incredibly rude and unprofessional over the phone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to question the bill, I was met with a condescending tone and zero willingness to address my concerns.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's frustrating and upsetting to trust a clinic with your pet's care, only to be treated like an inconvenience when you ask for transparency.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values respectful communication or honest pricing. I am a traveling physical therapist and luckily up until now (my Aussie is now 14), have never had to take her to a vet. She has recently had some health problems, and I have been super concerned ..had a hard time getting concrete answers. This amazing group got me in timely, and took time to thoroughly evaluate Yahzi. took more time to speak with me with multiple suggestions. She was so compassionate and caring. I became a client and a few years later it was time to put our 14 year old Pittie down. Aside from it being an awful day, Dr. Kathy and all her staff were amazing. Brittaney vet tech and Dr Amavisca are extremely kind, patient, personable...taking so much time explaining general health prevention/potential issues as well as details re our move to Hawaii re quarantine prevention/special tests/paperwork etc. As I haven't moved to Hawaii in over ten years. Considering our last min move was less than two days away they were the difference (with previous prep) between a successful move ie our service dog spending hours, not months in quarantine. I have taken my 2 year old cat pertaining to a UTI. The doctor at this clinic "tried" to get a urine sample and did not succeed the 1st time and gave up and diagnosed my cat based on her symptoms. She prescribed some meds for 1 week and we did a follow up, she finally collected a urine sample that she claims was all of a sudden was "successful" but still to state I needed to continue the UTI antibiotics for another week without seeing urine results. I have waited a week for results and called everyday to get results for my cats and they tell me "the doctor will call you at the end of the day" and I never get a call. I still don't know if my cat has a UTI or if she has stones. Also to note when I did bring in my cat I also had them do a rabies shot and they copied and pasted everything down to her weight on the "new" rabies vaccine certificate from my previous doctor in NC. This place is a joke and they clearly don't know what they are doing. I wouldn't pay another dime to bring my sick animal back here. It's a place where they play dress up and pretend to do "test" and never get back to you. read more

Was told over the phone that upon arrival I was to call for curbside service, I called and they told me to just bring my dog in- no biggie. But once getting to the lobby, I waited over an hour just to be spoken to by anyone, I was beginning to think they forgot I was there, but I wasn't the only one waiting that long. Staff was friendly, but there was no way to see how my pet was treated, the cleanliness of the clinic, etc. because I was not allowed to leave the lobby. read more

The best Vet in Yuma in my opinion and I tried a couple of others before I found this one. The Vet is a woman and very compassionate as is her staff. She is the real deal. A vet that helps all sizes of animals and does it in a very compassionate and reasonably priced way. I lost a husband of 30 plus years and three very loved pets in a span of five years. I Had to move several times and my poor little dog was pushed to the sides as I had to juggle a husband with cancer for eight years and deal with some of my own problems like thyroid cancer. I neglected to care for my little dog's teeth and as a result, they got very infected and I had to put her down. It breaks my heart but I appreciated their kindness and not being judgemental. read more

Didn't even get in the door, got to appointment. Got i out of my truck at 3:30 for a 3:30 appointment as they are still using COVID protocol. Was asked to put my Great Danes back in the bed of the truck, mind you it's 108 degrees outside. I chose to stay in the driveway. Lady came out. Asked me all the same questions I a answers when making the appointment several times for 18 minutes while holding 1 of my dogs, got nowhere with her, rosco was baking as sweat was pouring from my head, very unprofessional, left at 3:49. what a waste. read more

Horrible business. This place called me like 20 times to confirm my cats appointment and to ask the same questions over and over. I arrive from my cats appointment and it's curbside which they never told me over the phone and it's 115° outside. So extremely unorganized do not recommend. read more

They don't seem to care about them I had to call them Friday after work to get the results for my cats blood work and x-rays and you guys didn't answer being about 3:00pm I had to wait the whole weekend and yet you guys didn't call me with results on Monday I had to call. You guys could have also followed up to see how my pet? My cat has to be put down now. read more

I experienced expert care, communication and compassion when faced with the difficult decision to euthanize my beloved cat at this clinic. Many of the other clinics in town will charge $70-130 just for the office visit on top of the cost of putting your pet to sleep and you have to make an appointment. My experience is that you can't plan for times like this so being able to call in the morning and come in at the end of the day was so crucial for my cat's comfort once we realized he was too far gone. It is also incredibly reassuring to feel like you're not being gouged financially just to put your pet to rest. The vet was amazing in reassuring us what a great life we had given our kitty and was just so sensitive to the situation in general. Her staff was equally as sensitive during a difficult time and it truly meant the world to us. I definitely recommend trusting this vet with your fur baby. read more
