I have a 12 year old English bulldog so it goes without saying we have spent a lot of time at the vet so it goes without saying I have been to a vet that is out for money and does not actually care about your pet or educating you on their health. This vet does not appear to be one of those vets. First impression was everyone was nice and everything was clean! Then the tech was efficient and the dr came in the room within 20 minutes of visit time which is great!! Dr Prince is just that--a prince amongst vets! He was super educational, thorough, and actually listened while I babbled about nonsense. They also weren't pushy with add ons during the visit and understood being conscious of cost. Just recently relocated to Yuma and needed a Vet, that was established. I took my dog "Cali" in for a checkup and to get a feel for the atmosphere, they were amazing. The staff were absolutely amazing with my boy Buck 8/18/2023. I took him in because he was not doing well. They ran tests and came to the conclusion that my boy needed more attention then they could provide. The staff sat on the floor and loved on him and absolutely showed so much love. When it was time for me to take him to the emergency veterinary hospital they carried him to my car. They hugged him and gave him pets. Thank you to the staff. I made an appointment for my dog and paid the $50.00 on the phone that they require as a deposit. The $50.00 deposit goes towards the services after they diagnose and treat your dog. I have a receipt showing I paid the full amount minus the $50.00 deposit. When I looked at my credit card they charged me the full amount plus the deposit. I called palo verde pet clinic to resolve this issue. They told me that I made another appointment and didn't show so therefore they charged me $50.00. I didn't make another appointment and never authorized them to charge me. Be Careful with this vet. They are out to get your money. I have read many complaints about them doing similar things like this. I highly recommend you take your dog somewhere else. Don't get ripped off like I did. read more

I recently brought my dog in for an ear infection and was told it was going to cost 375.00 because he needed 3 vaccines also. Well he only needed 2 ( I keep records) so I get they are a business and are in business to make money but when 2 weeks later my dog still has an ear infection and they tell me 45 for follow up and 200 to re treat. So I tell them I will treat him at home can I just get some ear drops since your in house meds did not work ( he had a yeast infection) they said fine but my follow up visit is going to now cost 75.00. So I posted this experience on their web sight they took it down because they are greedy opportunists. So I took my dog to another vet they retreated him for 135.00 and it may have not been up to my standards in aesthetics but they were very nice and reasonable in prices . On my last visit the vet tech was really rough with my dog. She (the dog) can be stubborn, but if you take your time and treat her gently she'll let you do anything you want. We won't be back--going to a vet who likes and respects their patients. read more

We have had decent care here for our small dog after being over charged and treated like an ATM at Foothills. Took our dog in for an annual exam two weeks ago and forgot to get kennel cough vaccine. Called and was told that we had to have a full exam to get one shot after he was in there two weeks ago. Feels like they are not there to support there customers and are only looking to turn a profit like there partner vet Foothills. Wish Yuma could get a decent vet that cares about the customer and not just making money. read more

Had an amazing experience today. Took my two dogs in for wellness exams for the first time and to catch up on vaccines. Place was very clean and not too busy. The vet tech that helped us did and amazing job and explained everything we were paying for and everything that was happening. The Dr. Came in and explained everything he was doing with the exam and answered any questions we had. Overall a great experience and will definitely be going back! read more

I called today to see about getting our puppy her second set of shots. Was told they require a $50 deposit when making the appointment, and if the shot record from her first set wasn't signed by that vet, they will redo her first set of shots. Great first visit to Palo Verde Pet Clinic. Office staff was receptive, welcoming and expecting me. Brought in a 10 week old heeler for check-up and 10 week vaccinations. All expected charges explained to me. Promptly shown where to weigh my puppy, then taken to a clean and private exam room. Another tech (dog lover) put my pup at ease. When the DVM came in (Dr. Jackson), pup was relaxed and enjoyed all the company of the Palo Verde staff. Dr. Jackson was thorough and answered all my questions, and went over future plan for my pup. Referred by Foothills Animal Hospital since they no longer accept well check and shot visits. Staff is pleasant but they do not follow up. Apparently the two offices don't work together as closely as you would be lead to believe. The front desk is not nice when you question them about your bill. The waiting room is small, and not very easy to get through the office without dogs needing to get close to each other. I found my first visit there to be my last. read more

Took my cat in to get shots and bloodwork done to be able to take her overseas. They ended up doing the paperwork incorrectly when a detailed instruction sheet was provided. They put that we were going to Guam when we clearly stated Japan. When I called to see if they could fix their mistake there exact words were "the paperwork is so tedious you must have said Guam while we were filling out the paperwork" they took no responsibility for their mistake, no apology, just a "if you need it redone it will be full price" we spent $700 to get this done and now they want us to spend another $700 for their mistake. Look some where else for your Vetinary care. If i could post a zero i would. I easily spend over $500 at this veterinary office to be treated with mediocre customer service. Even after explaining my situation and my willingness to pay but i couldn't make it into the office it didn't matter to them. They could careless about the well being of your animal. read more

I would never come back here. I'm from california where you can find good pet clinics. Out here you are very limited but don't waste your time here. The doc literally doesn't care about your pet. Don't waste your money either they are overpriced. I have a puppy and vocalized my concerns that I'm having with her and he ignored basically everything I said and didn't solve a single issue. read more
