Stopped here on the way home from Austin! It did not disappoint! Excellent food and great service. I had a flavorful Mushroom Swiss burger with a toasted bun. The onions and mushrooms were cooked to perfection. The fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere is pretty cool. One side has more of an Italian bistro feel and the other more like a fifties diner. The fifties side had a pretty cool gift shop with ice cream, truffles, and several other sweet treats. Highly recommend this place and look forward to stopping there again in the future. read more

Downtown on the Courthouse Square. (I love visiting Brenham...you know Bluebell Country and all that.) Anyway, I was with a big crowd of kids and grandkids...everyone ordered something different and I sat there and ate off of every plate on the table...LOL Had a blast trying all the finger foods. Went there when we first moved to Brenham. I do not understand why it gets such great reviews. The food was good but nothing special. When we got to the sweets side of the restaurant everything changed for the worse. My girlfriend ordered a chocolate shake and while drinking it found little pieces of plastic. Apparently, whoever made the shake got a plastic spoon caught in the blender blades. I complained, but they didn't seem to care. The next couple of times we went there we were treated rudely by young snotty high school girls. I love visiting Yumm! Sweets & Eats when I go home. I make sure to order something different each time and I have not been disappointed, yet. The food really is YUMM and I love the fun atmosphere. Nice place in Brenham Downtown. We ordered santa fe chicken wrap, fish wrap and buffalo chicken pizza. My favorite was pizza and the fish wrap. They are good. Its a nice place with gelato place right next door. If you visit brenham, try this place for a quick lunch. read more

It was a busy lunch hour and the line was long but it was worth the wait. Homemade and tasted great! Service could be better. It seemed as they were short-staffed. For a great bite to eat for lunch or dinner, Yumm can't be beat. Food is fresh and good and we have been well served. Their hot tea was a little disappointing as it was a small cup of hot water and a tea bag. Seems overpriced for $2. Otherwise, most of their items are enjoyable--we have had the pizza, sandwiches, calzones. Their unsweet iced tea is some of the best around. For families or date night (yeah for wine there too!) or lunch, Yumm is a favorite. Enjoy! read more

For the past 2 years, I would've said this restaurant is hands down 5 stars. However, today I come in with a group of co-workers and there was a mix up at our table about the orders. Not by fault of the waitress, it was an honest mistake on our part as patrons and honestly it was loud in the restaurant so I think the error came in thinking she said "gyro" rather than "gringo". One of the people had already bitten into the wrong sandwich. She went to the kitchen then came back and said they're really busy and since it was ordered we have to eat it or order a new one and pay for it. Keep in mind, this was a sandwich mistake, not a whole pizza mistake. And yes, there were plenty of people there but there was no longer a line. I could understand saying that the kitchen is busy so a new sandwich will be an additional 30 minutes wait, but I think it was a bad choice to say he would have to pay for a new one. The pizzas are so fresh and I love the real Italian thin, crispy crusts. Another favorite is the Baja wrap with avocado, crispy bacon, chicken and delicious sauce. This is a great place for lunch while visiting downtown Brenham. It would benefit from more light...sort of gloomy inside. read more

All the food and desserts here are excellent. The prices are a little steep. Also the look of the dining room is very cool and pleasant. The kid at the order counter is always extremely kind and professional. The only other downside is that you have to wait in a really long line to order at the counter instead of from a waiter or waitress. read more

Bruschetta had good flavors, chopped black olives are a nice touch. The pizza was ok, dough tasted store bought and not fresh. Great stop! We just popped in on the basis of the good Yelp reviews while on our way from Houston to Austin and so glad we did. Had the Santa Fe and El Hombre wraps, a gyro and meatball subs. By far my favorite restaurant to eat! I believe the price is worth it. Food is beyond delicious and filling. I recommend substituting the chips for fries (come on guys...FRIES), the OMG, Sorrento, & Yummo. Not in the mood for sandwiches? Margarita Pizza all the way! Just had pizza for breakfast? That's okay! They serve healthy green stuff (salads) and my favorite the potato cheese soup. If that's not enough for you then I don't know what is. Very friendly staff. Any pizza can be turned into a personal one. I had the chicken Florentine and it was about $6. Really enjoyed it. The house merlot tasted good to me! The sweets side has some good deals. Floats are less than $2 and shakes are $4. And lots of fancier delights as well. We bought a pack of fudge to bring home. Looking forward to it! read more

If you like Oreos that cost 1.25 then this place is for you. Food and snacks are indeed good, but way over priced. Which makes since because unless you live in Brenham you likely don't even know they exist they got to make up the labor cost somewhere! I avoid this place due to cost, not because of flavor. Enjoyed a lunch bite here on the way to Houston. 'Classic' pizzas are pretty good and very reasonably priced, while gourmet pizzas can be pricey.
