Another One Bites the Dust... This building is where Italian restaurants go to die. Currently under new ownership and there are some good things. The new menu isn't so massive and the pizza is pretty good, previously very greasy. Breakfast menu could be better. Everything was a little overcooked. The service is terrible. Finally had to ask for syrup, ketchup, and coffee refills because no one ever came back by to check on us. It's like as soon as a new table walks in the door they forget about you. The poor owner is running around like crazy and cooking. I've seen at least 5 other people,I'm assuming work here, but aren't doing much. The interior is clean and well lit. My advice is train your staff to handle front of house because there is potential, but one guy can't do it all. I hope they get the logistics figured out or it won't be here long. read more

Pro- The watermelon mule was AMAZING! The garlic bread was warm and tasty Plenty of seating and clean bathrooms Manicotti was found in dish was decent. Cons- I was with a group and there for 20 mins before I was asked if I wanted a drink I ordered the manicotti and other women order 4 different items on the menu. The dishes ALL came out the same. Covered in cheese and sauce that was way too much for the 2 small manicottis I ordered. I had to dumped out half my plate to find the pasta. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER THEIR HOUSE DRESSING. Unless you like cocktail sauce on white lettuce with one tomato, one onion ring and some shredded mozzarella. This is my second time there and I waited to post a review. As much as I want all local businesses to succeed in my little town, I'm afraid this one will be like the last two restaurants at that location. Everything was delicious. From the warm bread, to the Italian dressing on the salad to the main course. I had Chicken a La casa. Chicken breast in bite sizes with sautéed spinach, mushrooms and red onion in an Alfredo sauce over angel hair pasta. So good! My companion had veal Marsala,unique to him. Generous portions. I can't remember the names of all of our meals.. first time we went (when these pictures were taken) was a few months ago and everything was soooo good! I got I had the Lobster ravioli, it was great!! My boyfriend got chicken Parmesan and it was great! Chicken Murphy and a plate similar to that but not spicy was the last plate with the ziti noodles. The second time my boyfriend and I went a couple weeks ago and got the same meals again, lobster ravioli and chicken parm, they weren't as good as that first time but the service there was always good! My wife and I, stoped by and I it's have to say that this place did not disappoint. I am so happy with the service here, our waitress Rebecca was amazing . The food was also delicious. Our son's calzone was left off the order. He got his food well after everyone was done eating. My pizza had onions on it even thought the menu did not list onions on the Greek pizza. I told the waiter/manager/proclaimed person in charge and he argued with me. First he denied there were onions on it then said they should be there. He went and checked the menu and admitted HE was wrong. They remade the pizza and we got that well after my son's calzone. The women's restroom didn't have any toilet paper. I told an employee who did nothing. 20 minutes later I told the "person in charge" and again he did nothing. Finally I took napkins from the table because I couldn't wait any longer. If they had managed to get our food out this wouldn't have even been an issue but we were there for almost 2 hours. There was also a fly living in the parmesan jar on our table. Needless to say we won't be returning and definitely don't recommend Tuscany. I asked for the owners phone number but he didn't answer or call back so this is my way of letting him know he has work to do. read more

Customer service was horrid. I guess bunch of kids are running this place because they sat in the kitchen and talked the whole time vs taking care of customers and cleaning off tables. We sat next to a huge table that sat dirty the entire time we were there and no telling how long before we got there. We came at a slow time we were the only people in there, sodas came out all flat. Asked for sweet tea, was so sweet but took so long to get the drink order in and get the drinks I didn't even ask to change it again. Food was alright but again no one comes by to wait on you. This place is meh. The ambiance of this restraunt is weird. It seems like the owners can't decide what they are doing with the place. It looks as if its a pizza joint but acts as if its fine italian cuisine; which it is not. Every item on the menu is covered in a block of cheese, presumably to hide the bland taste. My mother ordered a lasagna dish that came out with sour meat and, again, covered in cheese. The pizza is comparable to Cici's pizza, which wouldn't be too bad if they leaned into the pizza joint idea. My suggestion: Either clean up the act; throw out the plastic dishes, buy some more glassware, throw down nice tablecloths on the tables, and PLEASE do better on the cooking. OR Commit to being a pizza joint only; throw on some up-beat tunes, leave the lasagna in the past, and re-vamp the server attitudes. read more

Sorry to leave a bad review, but hopefully it will be helpful. We ordered the hamburger/spinach cannelooni and the lasagna. The place wasn't very busy, but it still took a long time to get our meal. Salad was a bowl of chopped iceberg lettuce and one slice of tomato. First bite of our entrees was unbelievably salty, almost inedible. I have high blood pressure, so I even questioned whether I should be eating it and had to stop after a couple of small bites. Maybe their other food is not over salted, but we don't feel like going back to try it. I thought about asking them to re-make our dinners with less salt, but it would have taken too long to get them and I imagine the same sauce goes on everything. read more

My daughter and I decided to try the new Italian restaurant in Brenham this evening and we're sure glad we did. The hospitality, atmosphere and the food were all top notch. We will be regular visitor here. Loved it and highly recommend. We had fried cheese and focaccia for appetizers. We both had fettuccini alfredo, mine was with shrimp. We were in town for the Bluebonnet festival and went to Tuscany for dinner. First of all, the service was super friendly. We were seated right away and the server got our drink order and brought it to the table with some delicious warm bread and a pesto dip. Then, we ordered the Linguine Tuttomare and a classic spaghetti and meatballs. On the linguini, the pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was chock full of seafood: shrimp, salmon, scallops and mussels. The spaghetti and meatballs was great as a classic dish should be. We finished off with a classic and a chocolate cheesecake for a wonderful dinner all around. If you're in Brenham, definitely check out Tuscany for fresh made great Italian food. read more

What a great place to eat! It was our first time there and I enjoyed the best Caesar salad I've ever had due to more Parmesan cheese than one usually gets and loved the Lobster Ravioli with shrimp meal in the best sauce ever! My husband really enjoyed the Veal Marsala dinner and both our meals were more than we could eat and very reasonably priced. The bread rolls were out of this world good! We'll be back! read more

Everything tastes very much like previously frozen, processed food smothered in marinara sauce and cheese. Absolutely nothing fresh. The eggplant was a horrible texture and oddly sweet. The salad greens were old and sickly pale. The rolls were probably good at some point, but ours seemed like they had been around awhile. The most repulsive part was the chicken wings, which were very pale with no crisp skin at all - just slimy. We avoided them altogether since they appeared barely cooked. read more

I usually don't leave reviews. This is the third time we have eaten here since they opened. It is the same as Joe's and same menu but the food seemed to be better than Joe's the first 2 times. It seemed fresh and well made. The third time and maybe last time. They brought out the rolls and they are so hard my daughter hit the plate and it just sounded like it could break the plate couldn't even cut it with a knife. The server just left dirty dishes on the table when being new dishes we had to move them to different table so we had room to eat. We always get calamari and is has been good expect this time it did not taste fresh at all and was very rubbery. We were out of tea by the time the appetizer hit the table we watched our server stand over by the bar for ten ten minutes at least doing nothing and when he went to get payment from tables near us he did not even stop and ask if we needed anything. My wife ordered spaghetti and me and my daughters ordered a large pizza. Finally when he came to bring our food we had to ask for tea. This would be the only time we would get a refill for $3 glass of tea. The spaghetti and the pizza were salty and not very good. I hate that they seem to have gone back to JOE's quality food.
