The service was quick and nice. The server was really caring and helpful! The restaurant is in a nice area where there are multiple Vietnamese restaurants all in one plaza! The food is so much better than pier 88, I would say it actually has a good amount of seasoning and flavor to it! The sauce in general is really good! I got the yummi flavor which is all of above. I really want this place to go viral and hoping they keep going with their business!

We came here because they have fried oyster on the menu. But decided to try their seafood boiled and chicken wings basket as well. The fried oyster did not disappoint. Fresh and well battered. Cajun fries were delicious. Perfect amount of seasoning. Definitely will come back for fried oysters and Cajun fries. The wing basket was a let down. The chicken was dried. And very small. They served sauces on the side. Not worth the money. Now, I have had seafood boiled at many places. I can tell you this place is my least favorite. We got the yummi seasoning, and it was salty. They served it in a tin pan so the sauce was on the bottom. Not enough room for us to mix up the seafood into the sauce. The seafood on top were just dried rub. I am used to other places putting in a bag. Because the sauce was on the bottom, we had to ask for extra butter garlic sauce to dip the seafood. They charged us extra $$ for the garlic sauce. Service was okay. We were the only table there. Had to wave down the server a few time to get our water refilled. The older lady didn't seem very friendly. I am glad I went to try it. I don't think I will be going back. Food is pricey. Service was slow.

Came here for dinner, for starters when I first sat down at my table. One of the servers came and sat someone else's bill on the table. I had to make her aware we were just seated and had not been there for 5mins. I found that to be rather strange, then the server who took my order wasn't paying attention, my son asked for extra corn and potatoes when our food came out it add to both our meals. We ordered combos A and B. I must say the seafood it's self was very fresh and good. Although I did not care to much for the sauce. We both got the yummi special sauce which is a combination of all sauces and seasonings. It taste like oil and salt. They have other items on the menu besides seafood for those who aren't a fan, as well as fried seafood options. The cocktails are priced very well, they are all under $10. I can't remember the name of my drink but it was SO good, it came in a big glass and it was only $7! It had coconut rum, melon liquor in it amongst some other things. All in all I recommend giving this place a try.

You cannot go wrong with well seasoned seafood! It was slightly overcooked so kind of hard to get the crab out of the shell but besides that, flavors were on point and our server was very sweet. I really like the selection of seasonings and spice levels you can choose.

First time here, not to crazy about it. Ordered "Fried" clams and what they brought was more like a "seafood boil " . It was cooked but definitely not "fried" . Smaller portions than hook and reel. And had a Cajun seasoning that was an overpowering. Would I do it again, yes just not so soon. Beer was good and cold . They have a small full bar.

Finally made it over to see what this Yummi Crab was all about! I can assure you that it is all about Yummi! Just look at that beautiful pie tin of food! But I must say that of all the reviews that I have read, I cannot remember anyone that has mentioned the sausage! So, tonight I will make mention that the sausage is every bit as good as the shrimp, the taters, and the corn (I haven't tried the lobster tails, crab, mussels, or crab legs, yet)! I did make a mistake when I ordered the mild spice level, next time I will bump it up to medium, and next time I go I will order the crawdads and sausage! There was enough food in that nice shiny, oversized pie tin to take half home and make a tasty lunch tomorrow! Well Done Yummi Crab! Well done indeed! It's a Thursday evening in Gladstone stuffing my face with shrimp and sausage, life is good!

I had heard great things about the place so I thought we would give it a try. I order Buffalo fried shrimp and my husband ordered Cajun fried shrimp. They both came out without any seasoning at all. Its unfortunate that they lacked flavor because they did have a crispy texture. I liked the tempura batter on the onion rings but they tasted undercooked, and absolutely no salt. Unfortunately, there wasn't even salt on the table. We were really hoping to have a good place for shrimp in the Northland. I would recommend giving the boil a try rather than the fried basket!

This was my order of shrimp and crab legs in medium spice.

Took a friend to lunch for her birthday and she wanted to go to the Yummi Crab. We went for lunch and the service was great. We ordered drinks and ordered our food. I got the shrimp and crab leg bag I picked medium heat which was perfect. Came with 2potatoes and 2 ears of corn and 1 boiled egg. It was fantastic I will definitely be back.

I read the beautiful story of Luna's owner settling here from overseas starting out as a dishwasher and working his way up in the food industry through humble beginnings all because of his family's love and support. I honestly didn't even realize Luna's had Vietnamese roots and thought it was southern style owned and inspired. I got the fried chicken, shrimp and fried cat fish combo with some fries (along with Jamaican jerk and lemony dry seasonings on the side) and let me tell you that it did not disappoint! Everything was prepared fresh and fried to perfection without being too oily along with crispy, golden and fresh French fries. The flavor was savory with the right amount of coating and spices. The pricing is very competitive too and similar to the fast food fried chicken spots around with combos starting $10+ for chicken and mix combos starting $14+. Most people were placing takeout orders but there was a small sitting area on the left if you decide to eat there - and I did. Otherwise the restaurant was clean with kind staff though there was a bit of a wait time because of constant to go orders. The restaurant staff was sweet enough to give me a soda for the wait. Improvements - I hope they improve their food containers because by the time I got my order with pipping hot fried meat combo - the top of the styrofoam containers had melted. Overall, I was satisfied with their food and service. 5/5 for me.

It looked like many new customers were really excited to be there, and it's about the busiest I've seen it when we have been in. We dined during Restaurant Week, and ordered the Burnt Ends and Garlic Butter Shrimp. The Burnt Ends were SOOOO tender, and the flavor of the meat really shined, especially for a restaurant that specializes in seafood. Mac and Cheese is always good! But the garlic butter shrimp......I could eat that all day. The cheesesticks were delicious and the lemon cake dessert! I couldn't believe what I was seeing on their webpage, so I phoned the restaurant directly - once in town. The woman on the phone was extremely pleasant, yet informed me the hours posted were in fact correct, and that they were a small family owned place with limited help, so they'll seat their last customer at 1:15pm. I explained we'd just driven into town from Blue Springs specifically to eat there, thanked her for the clarification, then told her we'd return to dine there sometime soon. She was still kind enough to direct us to a couple other establishments in town that would promise a good experience; and she wasn't wrong. We'd decided we'd stop at Boudreaux's... They're a Louisiana style seafood & steak place. Known by the locals to be frequented by quite a few of the Kansas City Chiefs players from time to time. Ironically, we were within 400 feet of it when I looked it up. It was literally on the corner of the street we were on. So, we parked and went in. The interior was a little dark and kind of dated looking. It had a mezzanine that overlooked the lower dining area, and the black metal rails were decorated with the traditional fleur-de-lis symbols within it's panels, and they were scattered about the inside and outside of the building. It definitely reminded you of a little place you'd encounter on a visit to Mardi gras. Actually, come to think about it, it was exactly what you'd imagine a little place like this would look like inside if you were on Bourbon Street in Louisiana. We ordered a cup of Crab Bisque soup, which was divine! It arrived with a scoop of white rice and sour dough bread rounds. We'd also ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken balls; which were made with Cajun mashed potatoes & chicken, formed into golf ball sized balls and fried to perfection, then served with a special Cajun style creamed gravy sauce. That was also very tasty! Next, our entrees... We'd ordered the Seafood Jambalaya with a side of garden vegetables. This dish was slightly seafood forward, containing a trio of catfish, shrimp, and crawfish; it was layered amongst the usual Jambalaya suspects - of delicately steamed rice, seasoned tomato sauce and finished with traditional Cajun seasonings... add in the tri colored sweet pepper strips (cooked perfectly) and you have a very memorable lunch experience. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken smothered in their own version of "creamed gravy" but it was more like a complex Cajun cream sauce, served with Dirty Rice on the side. Again, undeniably delicious. It was perfectly breaded and expertly fried. We ordered quite a few items so we'd have the opportunity to experience some while there, and still have plenty to take home. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to have an authentic Cajun/Creole style meal.

Unfortunately, the food was just okay for me and not something I'd personally return for. The fried rice was a bit spicy and it actually tasted like it picked up several different flavors from the grill it was cooked on. I also added shrimp after placing my order and was basically charged a dollar a shrimp, I received five shrimp, but honestly, that extra purchase wasn't worth it for me. The chicken was the best part of the meal and was actually pretty good. However, I bought the chicken intending to give it to my daughter, who has a fish allergy. After purchasing it, I asked whether the fish and chicken were fried separately and was told they use the same fryer and peanut oil. That's definitely something I should have asked beforehand, so that part was my mistake. Overall, I didn't really enjoy the meal enough to feel it was worth coming back for. This is just my personal experience and taste but unfortunately, Swift's Cajun Cuisine food truck wasn't a hit for me.
