We are on vacation and wanted sushi and this was close to our airbnb, so we decided to stop in. All of our sushi was excellent, we had 2 of the speciality rolls and 3 of the spicy rolls. We also got the steamed dumplings, which you could tell are hand made and delicious. The fried rice was heavy on the soy sauce, the walnuts in the walnut shrimp were not candied and it needed more sauce were our only complaints read more

the food was bad. had shrimp fired rice. was not shrimp fried rice. was fried rice and then shrimp was added and they were cold mixed in. egg roll was bad couldn't even eat it. the egg foo young had no flavor and the sauce was bad had to toss it out. The food got me sick. Would never order from them. Was the worst choice I made for Chinese food. read more

Absolutely disgusted. I just picked up 10 minutes ago. I ordered honey walnut shrimp. I got shrimp with almost no sauce on a bed of ROTTING lettuce. $15 and you can't be bothered to put semi fresh lettuce? Shocked to say Panda Express would've been a better choice. read more

Hello My family and I ordered a few dishes to go . Once we opened the food and starting eating we noticed in the beef and broccoli there was an bug. It was very apparent that it was a cockroach or some type of sting bug. We called the restaurant right away and informed them about the situation and they requested to come to our house to check the food that was already in the garbage can. Our whole family was disgusted and refused to eat anything . Our order totaled $70. We requested a refund and offered to send images of the bug. They refused to help . We are demanding a refund. If this is not resolved by Tuesday we will contact the health department and the BBB. read more

ordered the sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, and mongolian beef and all were fantastic for two reasons: breading isn't overdone (there's a good amount of meat within), and the beef was sufficient with a good amount of flavorful vegetables. also, the rice that came with it was huge relatively speaking. service was slow considering we were the only ones dining in, but the wait was worth it due to the quality of the food. ambiance was meh but this place seems more like a carry out/delivery place. took a star off because the (glass) cups we got were a little dirty but not a huge deal. will definitely be back! read more

Except the fried rice didn't appear to have been fried (the color was closer to white than brown) and the other dish that was ordered "extra spicy" was bland (to the point where I went into the kitchen and put Trader Joe's ghost pepper on there). Pretty solid food with a large selection. Sesame shrimp was fantastic. Staff is friendly and thoughtful - we ordered from there once via door dash and they called to warn us that the dasher was on a bicycle. They were worried about the integrity of the food and order. It wasn't their responsibility so we appreciated the effort. read more

Wife and I wanted Sushi, orange chicken, & some appetizers. We gave Yummy a try. Huge mistake! Nothing tasted at all like it should. The sushi was not very good at all. Very dry and bland. The orange chicken was not even as good as the frozen stuff we get at Trader Joe's and cook at home. The Crab Rangoon tasted nothing like crab Rangoon. Overall, very disappointed with the food. They didn't do anything wrong, they just don't have good food. Do yourself a favor and don't waste $50 on trying this place. Your princess is in another castle. read more

If i could give a zero i would! This place is horrible! Rude, crude and unprofessional. Ordered some food to go and found a bug in my beef. We called restaurant to tell them about it and instead of offering a refund they tried to offer more food! Basically called us liars and told us to leave the food in the garbage so they can send a driver to inspect! I will never eat here again! Beware! read more

I'm new to Chicago, and this place is in my neighborhood on the NorthWest Side. I'm from San Fran, so I know a good Chinese place when I see it, and this place is it! I've had take-out here at least once/wk since moving here last summer, and occasionally will sit in when I have friends visiting. The dining room is always pleasant and clean; the family that runs this place is very nice and polite. I haven't tried the Sushi yet, but all their Chinese dishes are excellent: the meat and vegetables tastes so fresh, and their dishes are not too oily or greasy. The Lo Mein is particularly excellent, as are their Mongolian chicken and beef dishes. I highly recommend this place and bring all my friends/family here when they visit. read more

Nasty terrible. Just ordered from them and immediately has to write my Yelp review. So mad that I gave this place a shot after I called to place my order, and when asking them if their bubble teas were fresh or powder, she hesitated to answer. Should've listened to my gut. Service was terrible. I arrived and the girl at the register was more interested in her iPhone game than saying hello. She kept going to the back to check on my order and everytime would resume her game, yet my chalk tasting bubble teas weren't even blended yet. Pretty annoying that i still waited for my order and not a soul on the restaurant. Went straight home to try our grub. My shrimp walnut was barely warm. You could tell that they were reheated. The middle of the dish was on the tad cold side soI lost my appetite, wouldn't even finish my food with the thought of how long the shrimp was sitting out, waiting to be reheated. The fried rice was bland and flavorless. JC said soy sauce would help. Not a chance. You can tell they used a frozen veggie bag to make their fried rice. Gross He was less than pleased with his shrimp and broccoli, his go to choice dish at every Chinese restaurant. Brown sauce, no flavor. At least his dish was hot. And yes, the bubble teas were nasty. You can taste the chalk from the powder they used from it. Gross gross gross! Never again would I go back. Stay away from here. I was so excited to maybe have found a Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood but the quest still continues. read more

I really tried to like this place but I just can't seem to find anything I really enjoyed eating. I ordered my safe dishes when trying new Chinese restaurants which consist of Chicken Fried Rice and Sweet and sour chicken. and my my my was I disappointed, First off let's get it out the way we are all used to traditional brown color fried rice and well this one was YELLOW!! and easily very under cooked!! Peas and other veggies were still really hard!! NOT IMPRESSED!! Sweet and sour chicken was EH! the Skin was not fried enough and it still very doughy and the chicken was slimy and not very tasty at ALL!! Ordered some Frieds Wontons with beef and that was the one thing I was MOST looking forward to to only be disappointed. Wontons were extremely stale tasting and seemed to have been fried in old oil!! just not good! Def prolly will pass this place up and not order from it anymore. read more

I was driving by and saw this restaurant, since I did not have lunch yet, I decided to try it. Ordered Tuna Roll and Beef with garlic sauce. Based on the Tuna roll I had, I would stay away from their Sushi bar. The Beef with garlic sauce was decent. Would I stop by again? I do not think so. Pretty good for delivery sushi in the neighborhood, if delivery sushi is what you're in a pinch for...took 60 minutes exactly from order to door. Portions seemed small for what we paid, but the quality and flavor were there. I was not overly impressed with the special roll we had (dragon)...again, quality of fish was good, presentation was decent, but the size of the roll was not what you would expect from a "specialty roll" at a $12 price point--was pretty much a standard size roll topped with very thin layers of fish. Seaweed salad was a seaweed salad, but again, 50% of the size of a standard seaweed salad from any other place. 3 out of 5 because they're just getting started and probably ironing out a few kinks. I'll give it another couple of months before I try again, but would not discourage anyone from patronizing them in the meantime. Perhaps the dine-in or the Chinese menu is the better way to go...I'll find out sooner or later, I'm sure. read more

Not good. Had spicy crunch tuna roll and white tuna sushi. The roll was spicy, but also flavorless. Spicyness drowned out any taste. It was like they just mixed tuna with sriracha and called it a day. White tuna didn't taste fresh and was chewy. The service was polite and quick but for the food quality, it wasn't a good experience. Also very over priced for the quality. $5 for two pieces of chewy white tuna? I'll pass. read more

I used grub hub for delivery this evening to order from Yummy for the first time. I've driven past the restaurant a few times and wondered if the food was any good so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered the side salad with ginger dressing on the side, crab Rangoon, and a Philadelphia roll. The ginger dressing tastes home made and is delicious! The salad was fresh and not overly garnished. The crab Rangoon could have been fuller as far as how much filling was actually in the crispy shell, though they were good. I have not tried the roll yet as I ordered that to have for lunch tomorrow but by the looks of it I should enjoy it quite well! read more

Been on the hunt for a place that does good Cantonese style Lo Mein, and I think I've found it. Most places use the soft spaghetti type noodles and not the kind you would get in a pan fried noodle (Cantonese style) either because they don't do pan fried noodle or they won't do special requests like that. Thankfully Yummy did it without question and it turned out wonderfully. Everything was even less oily than I've had from other Chinese restaurants. Worth noting, but not really a bad thing, is the fried rice was very different than I've had everywhere else, in that it had chunks of carrot, peas, and onion in it and looked nothing like you'd get everywhere else; but it still tasted good so don't let the presentation put you off. I'd be happy to order from here again and see how the rest of the food is. read more

First time ordering here. I got the chicken chow mei fun. Oh, what fun and yum! I called ahead to ensure it didnt have curry in it (I CANT STAND curry. Gross). And the lady eho answered was very nice. The noodles are light and without a heavy sauce (a common finding w Chinese food). I also got a mango smoothie. Very hygenic, comes prepackaged with a seal. One was an assortment of sashimi on rice. The pieces of sashimi were very skimpy. The other sushi roll was ok. The best appetizer was the soft shell crab deep fried & served w/a dipping sauce. After the appetizers we ordered our dishes. My wife and her friend ordered a chicken teriyaki dinner that came w/miso soup, an artistically arranged salad & chicken teriyaki which was mediocre quality chicken. Sorry to say the chicken wasn't very tender & kind of lacked flavor. My buddy says every time he flies to the Philippines (he's Guatemalan) they stop in either Japan or Korea he orders Tempura Udon in the airport. I ordered the shrimp tempura & vegetable tempura. The quantity was generous but the shrimp tempura batter was lacking. By this I mean good tempura batter/panko is very light, flaky & crispy, this was none of the aforementioned. The batter was heavy & lacked the consistency that shrimp tempura should have. The vegetable tempura was decent. I especially liked the onion & the red pepper as the tempura batter nicely complimented these vegetables. This also came w/miso soup & an artistically presented salad. Overall the restaurant is nice the service was good but sorry to say the food was lacking. For me personally I was disappointed as the Yelp reviews had 4 1/1 stars that I didn't feel were justified.

Especially to save anybody else from what we had to endure. We came in for dinner after a long, exhausting day of running errands.... myself, my sister, and my 83-year-old mother. We were seated modestly quickly, which gave us hope. Unfortunately, that was the only thing that went right. Shortly after being seated, a man who appeared to be our server approached us not to take our order, but to tell us he was "too busy" to wait on us and that someone else would come. That set the tone immediately. When another server finally did come over, things didn't improve. It took OVER 15 minutes for Server to acknowledge us, And another 10 minutes just to take our order, while we watched multiple tables who were seated after us being served promptly and efficiently. At that point, we should have left. I eventually received an appetizer, but my mother and sister received nothing. As I sat there awkwardly picking at my food, we watched surrounding tables (who arrived after us), receive full meals before us. We flagged down our server, and only then were we casually informed that my mother's meal had been given to another table. No apology beforehand. No proactive communication. No attempt to correct it until we had to ask. Let that sink in: an elderly woman sat there (over a hour now), waiting, ignored, while her meal was served to someone else and no one thought to inform us. At that point, we got up and left. The front door staff were the only bright spots. They were polite and immediately got the manager. The manager assured my sister that the situation would be "handled," that we would be contacted, and that some form of recompense would be made for the experience. She was also so apologetic... But her apologies were as devoid is truth as her personality was devoid of any humanity. So her promises that she would reach out that we would be recompensed well...That never happened. No call. No follow-up. No accountability. As for the food? I can't fairly review it because we never actually received it. The small portion of appetizer I did get was nothing memorable, and the sake was honestly subpar. What I can review is the service, (if one can call it that,) and it was abysmal. Disorganized, inattentive, and completely lacking in basic professionalism and respect. Promises were made and not kept, which makes the experience even worse. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are too many places that actually value their customers' time, dignity, and experience. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

My lychee martini wasn't quite as smooth and balanced as in the past, but it is still $12 for now! For dessert, we tried a couple flavors of mochi (mango and chocolate), which were as expected. The tiramisu came from the freezer, but it was a bummer that some of it was still frozen when served. Service was hit or miss and not as attentive as on past visits.

There were a couple of people picking up to go orders before us, but then we were seated promptly. Menu is huge! They have traditional dishes as well as sushi. With our order, we were also given hot tea and cucumbers. My sushi roll had a nice kick to it. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it had a good amount of beef and vegetables. Prices were very reasonable as well. Sure, our server did disappear at times, but we got our order in promptly and didn't need much assistance. Definitely recommend this spot.
