Pretty quiet on a Saturday night

We have come here a couple times now and every time time service has been very good. The food has always been tasty, but I would caution that the ramen is no Japanese ramen, but more of a Thai spin on Japanese ramen. Still good, just different. Everytime we come, it is kind of a toss up of how busy it will be. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to their busy hours, but either way the service is always good.

This taste was fantastic fast great quality homemade food circuit was amazing daily special. We got four different sushi the most fantastic crab Rangoon I have ever had and a daily special we came for the iced tea and iced coffee. No regrets. Highly recommend Street Parking very small space but we came right before the dinner rush

Great lunch special deals!!! My family and I ordered: - Lunch special Pad See Ew (with crab Rangoon and Thai iced tea) - Lunch special maki rolls (2 makis and siumai) - Fried rice - Tom Kha - Sake nigiri This all came out to about $55-60 before tip Everything, especially the Thai dishes were great. The maki rolls had a lot of rice which was my only critique

horrible food. ordered shrimp with rice and broccoli, I got two peices of shrimp, five carrots, all cold and soggy. The cooks behind the counter obviously have no idea what they are doing , the cashier was teaching them how to dish everything out Absolutely disgusting, would never go back again. And nobody else should either

4.5 starts for food. Hit or miss on service My son, a friend, and I had Christmas eve's dinner and .... Wait... wait... it was Hands down one of the beast sushi I have had since we moved from Adam Francisco. I liked it so much I went back with my husband today - taking advantage that we came from the burbs to water my son's plants just 5 minutes from the restaurant. On Christmas Eve the service was great, today was so so. The food fantastic both times. Fresh, crunchy on the right rolls, very tasty. We had several rolls: broccoli tempura, spicy tuna, Una Q Maki, dragon, volcano and a bowl. All excellent Don't forget BYOB.

The Most Overrated Restaurant in the Six Corners Area of Chicago First, the restaurant had a terrible odor when we walked in. Second, I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen. When it arrived at my table, it wasn't hot, the noodles on top were slightly dried out, and the soup barely filled half the bowl. I refused to eat it and took it back to the counter, telling them I didn't want the ramen. They apologized and assured me that I wouldn't be charged for it. However, when I asked for the check, the server didn't provide it right away and instead just told me the total was $45. I asked her to print the check, and when she did, I was frustrated to see that the ramen I didn't eat was still included. When I questioned why I was being charged for it, she awkwardly said she wouldn't charge me after all, clearly caught in the act of trying to slip it onto the bill. It felt like a sneaky attempt to charge me for something I refused. She eventually fixed the check, and I paid. Finally, our order took longer to arrive than that of another table that came in after us, yet their food was served much more quickly. I have no idea why.

Takeout review. Estimated wait was 30 minutes, but I actually picked up 13 minutes early. I ordered 6 piece crab rangoon, drunken noodles with beef, pad Thai with beef, and the hell fried rice combo (chicken, beef, shrimp). The main reason for the 3 stars was the beef used in the two noodle dishes and the rice was extremely tough and quite bland. We ended up having to eat around it. Also, the crab Rangoon were cold. The filling also looked and tasted different than usual but not in a bad way. The drunken noodles and veggies were great, apart from the beef. Typical brown stir fry sauce. The pad Thai noodles and tamarind sauce were very good. If you like sweet dishes, I'd recommend this, again without the beef. The hell fried combo rice was as expected VERY spicy. You could see the chili flakes all over. It was tasty. The shrimp and chicken were good. If I end up giving this another try, I'd go with a different main protein or just sushi next time.

I keep forgetting to review this place! This is our go to sushi place. We always order for delivery. It typically takes 45 minutes once the order is placed. We order something new each time we place an order. This time we ordered Crazy noodles: not as spicy as I was expecting. It was lightly seasoned topped with Siracha Shrimp tempura maki: tasted great filled with meats and flavor Angry dragon: the pieces are big and flavorful Crunchy spicy taco maki: good wish we got more meat felt like I tasted more of the rice and veggies mixed in. Was also expecting more coconut flakes on top Crab Rangoon: great! They are small but filled with meat

Pros: Super nice people. Appeared clean. Open later. Cons: Had hairs in food. Small portions. Many dishes seemed pricey for what we got...lacked meat/veggies. Ordered spicy basil fried chicken rice (nothing to it), salmon spinach roll (almost 10$ for 2 small rolls cut in half), mussamun cury (good flavor but was barely any vegetables or meat and Chicken rama (good but small portion compared to nearby Thai restaurants). First visit and probably last.

I already love crab rangoon, but these took it to another level. They were easily my favorite thing we ordered, and I would go back just for those. I'm not usually a big ramen person, but I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the ramen was. We ordered a spicy option with fried chicken, and while I wasn't a fan of the fried chicken getting soggy in the broth, the ramen itself was delicious...honestly, the flavors were even better the next day after everything had soaked in. I ordered the karaage chicken nuggets and chicken and veggie dumplings, while my friend ordered the nuggets and fried chicken bun. Everything came out quickly and hot. The chicken nuggets were meaty and flavorful, and the sauce really elevated the dish. The fried dumplings were packed with vegetables and had a great texture. My friend enjoyed her fried chicken bun the most. She loved how soft the bun was and thought the sauce on the sandwich really brought everything together. We did have a little hiccup at the end of our meal. We waited for the bill for a while before flagging down our server, only to find out that the bill was connected to the QR code in the booth. I actually think that's a really cute and convenient concept, but it would be helpful if guests were told about it when they're seated or when the food is delivered. It would definitely save guests from sitting around wondering when their check is coming. Overall, another enjoyable experience at Ramen-San.

For the main attraction I ordered the spicy garlic ramen that was such a delightful mouth experience it really hit all the taste buds! The noodles were perfectly bouncy with the right amount of chew. The jellied egg was perfect and rounded the soup very well! The red chili threads enhanced the spicy miso broth just enough to slurp all the delicious goodness down! My husband ordered the Sapporo miso soup which had more of a creamy type of broth vs the spicy garlic. The noodles were also thinner than regular ramen & had a bouncy springy texture that just hit the spot! I was skeptical when I first heard the name Monster Ramen. All my previous personal experiences…read morehave always proven to me that restaurants with names that don't represent their culture in distinct ways are generally subpar. For example, I would usually never even think to step into a restaurant named Best China House, Sushi Bistro, or Mom's Korean Restaurant. (Apologies if your shops are named as such. These were meant to be generic examples) Oh, how times have changed. I would have never thought having a bowl of ramen at a Monster Ramen would give me this much pleasure. Part of it will (in fact, most of it) be on me and my general philosophy on fusion cuisine and outdated gemerational gap. There was definitely a time when avoiding agorementioned type of restaurants may have been deemed smart. But I feel the new generation of restaurant owners and chefs have up'd their games in not only at better food making, but also accepting of a bit more irony. Anyone who knows me knows how much I stay away from trying anything "fusion." It's kinda funny to myself how hypocritical it is that I would be totally okay in substituting an ingredient or two when I'm missing some when cooking, but when it comes to paying money to sit and eat that I would judge chefs by thier style of cooking. Yes, a big part of it is based on a large pool of personally gathered data, but I do acknowledge that I need to open myself up a bit more. Case in point. I was recommended MR by a fellow Yelper and I decided to give it a whirl. I happened to have a friend and his son with me, so I was able to do small tastings of 3 different ramen. And boy, was I pleasantly surprised. We collectively had bowls of shio, shoyu and miso specials. Plus, I ended up getting the Summer Special bowl to go for my wife. All of them had their individual charm to them but more importantly, each of them were made to perfection when it came to broth seasoning and noodle texture, which are THE two most important aspect of ramen, in my opionion. Not too salty nor bland soup. Perfectly dense noodles. I just loved all four! It wad when I tasted the yuzu in tgeir shio ramen that my wife would love it. Even though I brought her the spicy Sunmer version home, I still think it'll be worth bringing her and our daughter back when we get a chance to. Our server Dionne (I think) was most pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, too. It helped that I came before the dinner rush, although, I can also see more lively vibe being nice as well. Will be back with the fam definitely!
