We have come here a couple times now and every time time service has been very good. The food has always been tasty, but I would caution that the ramen is no Japanese ramen, but more of a Thai spin on Japanese ramen. Still good, just different. The Most Overrated Restaurant in the Six Corners Area of Chicago First, the restaurant had a terrible odor when we walked in. Second, I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen. When it arrived at my table, it wasn't hot, the noodles on top were slightly dried out, and the soup barely filled half the bowl. I refused to eat it and took it back to the counter, telling them I didn't want the ramen. They apologized and assured me that I wouldn't be charged for it. However, when I asked for the check, the server didn't provide it right away and instead just told me the total was $45. I asked her to print the check, and when she did, I was frustrated to see that the ramen I didn't eat was still included. When I questioned why I was being charged for it, she awkwardly said she wouldn't charge me after all, clearly caught in the act of trying to slip it onto the bill. It felt like a sneaky attempt to charge me for something I refused. She eventually fixed the check, and I paid. Finally, our order took longer to arrive than that of another table that came in after us, yet their food was served much more quickly. I have no idea why. read more

Takeout review. Estimated wait was 30 minutes, but I actually picked up 13 minutes early. I ordered 6 piece crab rangoon, drunken noodles with beef, pad Thai with beef, and the hell fried rice combo (chicken, beef, shrimp). The main reason for the 3 stars was the beef used in the two noodle dishes and the rice was extremely tough and quite bland. We ended up having to eat around it. Also, the crab Rangoon were cold. The filling also looked and tasted different than usual but not in a bad way. The drunken noodles and veggies were great, apart from the beef. Typical brown stir fry sauce. The pad Thai noodles and tamarind sauce were very good. If you like sweet dishes, I'd recommend this, again without the beef. The hell fried combo rice was as expected VERY spicy. You could see the chili flakes all over. It was tasty. The shrimp and chicken were good. If I end up giving this another try, I'd go with a different main protein or just sushi next time. read more

They would do better to focus on the food rather than the attractive menu. I had the Tom Yum soup. It was overly salty. That made it difficult to notice the lemongrass flavor. I also had the pod Thai. It was bland without a lot of flavor. The noodles stuck together. And it was overly oily.Overall, the meal was mediocre. We dined inside, and it was pleasant in there. The cashew chicken was not cooked with chili peppers like as most other places but they gave us hot sauce. The sushi was pretty good and the hands on salad was delicious and a good portion too. Miso soup was a little saltier than I like but still good. I could have probably cut it with a tiny bit of hot water. I think I have been a sushi binge cause that is all I have had this week. I saw this place on grub hub and decided let's try it. It did not disappoint at all. I wish this place was closer to me so I could go weekly. I got the sampler with nigiri assortment, spicy tuna roll and miso soup. All I can say is idk what type of sesame seeds are used but I was blown away by the flavor, superb. Even the soy sauce was a little different & delicious. There was a hint of sweetness that just took my meal over the top to greatness. Either way I'm writing a review so I don't forget the name and location ever. Absolutely Phenomenal Service and Food!!! The Pad Thai is beyond amazing, I mean it! It's so amazing that... the week I found this place, that's all I ate. I never in my life had a desire to eat the same food more than two times in a row... but I had their Pad Thai at least 10 times in a row, lunch and dinner at least twice a day every day for an eeeentire week LOL. The chef is a PRO, he ensures it is the same quality each time he cooks and I never seen this before, at least not to this extent!!! The consistency is just insane. The skills of that man I bet his wife is proud as hell! Needless to say the staff... is really nice and kind!!! I only met two ladies but I'm beyond impressed with their memory and I love their kindness, always been genuine in their interactions and they always put a big smile on my face! It is easy to miss this amazing spot among the plethora of Asian focused spots in this city. This is a place that I am so happy I found. Some of the best food in the Portage Park area and beyond. The Tom Yum soup for under $6 had three pieces of jumbo shrimp. The spices were so perfectly blended that I can honestly say it was one of the best Tom Yums I have ever tasted. The Bangkok Chicken Wings are crispy and light, which is surprising for chicken wings. And the Drunken Noodles and Yakisoba? Prepare yourself, they're HUGE servings. Pretty great for each dish being under $10. The service? Phenomenal. The speediness? We were in and out in less than 40 minutes. All in all? At first I was disappointed with the amount of meat in the dish, until I tasted it. It was the toughest meat ever! The leather on your shoe sole would be tastier!!! Wow, Hands On! How have I not reviewed you yet? I absolutely love this spot for their awesome lunch specials. For around $9 you get an entree and your choice of two side items that can include a drink or just two appetizer sides. This is the only Thai place I've been to that lets you choose iced coffee. They also serve their special 7 days a week. They ALSO deliver their lunch special! Those are all major perks to me, so I order their lunch special a lot. My faves: - Chicken Pad Thai - Beef Pad See Eiw - Fried rice (some of the best I've had) - Crab Rangoon (they use curry powder, which is an unexpected, but nice touch. - Fried Gyoza I've eaten in too, and the staff was very welcoming and courteous. The ambiance is nice, and I like the K-pop versions of everyday hits they play on the radio. I'm a noodle lover, so I haven't tried their maki or poke bowls, but I will get around to that eventually. The food is nice and flavorful, delivery is fast, and the staff is great. My go to for Thai food in my neighborhood. read more
