This service is good though struggles to deal with even the tiniest wrinkle. If your order arrives and everything's there, present and correct then all will be well. But if something goes wrong - an item is missing, or you've been charged incorrectly, then it quickly falls apart. While it gets resolved eventually it takes an unreasonable amount of effort to do so, and mainly because they are just so hard to get a hold of. Had several instances of this with the West Hollywood Yummy branch. Keep this service for desperate, last minute, one-off things but be prepared to invest weeks of effort resolving any issues which might crop up. read more

As a local in the neighborhood, any impromptu kitchen or household shortages can be solved with a quick walk to Yummy. Out of toilet paper? Yummy. Need more limes for margaritas? Yummy. No more toothpaste? Yummy. Bad day? Wine from Yummy. You get the idea. As much as Yummy has pulled through for me on some SOS occasions, I agree with the yelper below who called it a 'glorified convenience store'. Expect to pay considerably more for convenience and curation. It's a great spot to shop for one-off needs, but consider doing your staple grocery shopping elsewhere. Last word: A number of employees are on their phone, every time I go in. Today, one of the cashiers did not even look up from their phone when I asked a question and was even on their phone when they rang me up. #annoying read more

So yesterday I had a little fender bender and I probably could have driven my car to the store but my headlight assembly was sticking out a little too far and I wasn't sure it was working so I decided to try Yummy.com because it was after 9 PM and I had a terrible craving for ice cream. Yeah I know lol but it had been a rough day...they were true to their 30 minutes or less delivery time, they delivered exactly what I ordered and due to my location I didn't have to pay any delivery fee. I only shop here in a pinch. I'm usually pretty unsatisfied with their produce selection. Bananas are tasteless and sometimes potatoes look like they've been sitting for too long. And I end up spending more for most items. I recommend coming here for the packaged snacks like dried fruit or protein bars. Their kombucha selection and other beverages are pretty decent. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with yummy.com and it's making my life so difficult. I love the convenience of getting home, putting on my 'nighttime pants', and having a delicious salad and a bottle of wine delivered to my home. I do not love multiple calls informing me they are out of the things I ordered. I really really do not love getting a half-sized salad delivered when I've ordered a full-sized salad because I AM HUNGRY AND WANTS LOTS OF SALAD. But truly, the most annoying part about this is that YOU CAN'T EVEN ORDER HALF SALADS ONLINE. It's simply not an option. So I paid for a large salad and received a tiny salad. And when I called to let them know their error, they acted super confused and could not wrap their yummy brains around my yummy problem. I told them they could just credit me back the price difference but they insisted on bringing me another salad. A full 30 minutes later (over an hour after I had placed the original order) I received my full size salad. The delivery driver actually made me exchange the smaller salad for the larger one. I mean, come on. Aside from the online shenanigans they've got going on, actually going into this store is like entering one of Dante's circles of hell. You're not only shopping alongside other customers, but also alongside actual yummy employees, filling online orders. Do they act like employees, all helpful and shit? NO, OF COURSE NOT. They're pushy and rude and all are all, like, 12 years old. I have actually had one of their employees quickly reach in front of me to take the last Gingerade Kombucha before I could put it into my basket. I've also had a girl at the deli counter tell me to "hold on a second" so she could finish flirting with a fellow employee. It was vomit inducing, and I don't think he was into her. They deliver an amazing selection of grocery goods ranging from fresh deli items (like BLT's for you meatheads) to beer to heavy whipping cream and frozen pizzas in literally 30 minutes or less. They have a surprising amount of vegan & gluten free options and many gourmet varities and brands I can't find elsewhere. They are like your enabling mother/friend hooking your lazy self up with groceries right at your doorstep, while you play Super Nintendo in your underwear and fold laundry on the couch. I've tried multiple times to fall in love with this place, but yummy- you keep letting me down. I don't know if they are bribing people to delete bad reviews because I know for a fact my boyfriend as well as my best friend have had more than one bad experience as well. The customer service here is absolutely horrid. Every time I walk in I am greeted with blank stares and employees who are quick to get back to their gossiping. Even when I check out, more often than not the only thing they actually say to me is the total. Even after I say thank-you , it's the cold stare. I get this place is new, but they act like they've been there for years and are already burnt out. Last week I was trying to pick up some bacon from the shelf for breakfast and they were having a pow wow in front of the display talking and rearranging things, I waited patiently off to the side for a minute, then said excuse me and they just stood there confused and went back to talking. .... Ok cool. At the checkout line, expect it to be rather cold, as they hardly say a word. Also, I bought like 20 items the other day and I had no purse or anything and I had to ask for a bag! She just rang it up into a pile and then gave me a blank stare. I thought to myself, is this real life? This is happening right? It was awkward. Then I thought I'd give the deli a try, and I was pleased to be met with a more lively bunch! I was excited! I ordered the turkey royal which was delicious however, I literally scraped off like 3 spoonfuls of mayo which was less than pleasant. I've been in maybe 10 times now. It's so convenient because I live across the st. Ill continue to go, but only for days I'm too lazy to drive to Von's. I don't know how good the online ordering service is, I hope it's better. Normally I do not write negative reviews, but this legitimately upset me as a consumer. I placed an order at 3:30 pm for a delivery to be scheduled between 930-10 pm that night. So mind you there were six hours of prep time for this order that I already paid for. At around 9:55 I get a call from someone there saying they were out of one of the items. Okay no problem don't charge me. (But maybe figure this out a bit more in advance?). The delivery person doesn't come until 10:25 pm (almost 30 minutes late and this was scheduled -I repeat- 6 hours in advance) and an item was missing from my order. I called the store to let them know and the receptionist or whoever answered the phone said someone could go out and get the missing item to me. At that point it was almost 11 so I said "you guys were a little late and I need to get up early tomorrow so please refund me the amount of the missing item" to which she replied "we were busy" and hung up. Terrible customer service. Letting people know that when your business is successful, you will not be able to do things well only tells me you don't have your shit together. Also no apology for being late? For getting my order wrong? No goodbye? You hang up on people when you fail to uphold your end of the requested service? Customer lost. read more

A more pricy option than the 99c store across the street, but with an equally strange name. Yummy.com is a pseudo-local neighborhood market with all of the essentials. It's Reminiscent of the Pink Dot in Beverly Hills and they have a similar grocery delivery service. It's not the kind of market you go for an overhaul of goods but for the kind of shopper who might need to pick up some eggs last minute to top offthat casserole. Their sandwich station is pretty good. Seven dollars for a sandwich. The spicy chipotle chicken is my favorite. Friendly staff. I love that their website shows how many items are in stock--other delivery services leave you guessing as to if the item will actually remain in stock. Started ordering lunches about once a week from yummy, and I think the quality and convenience are awesome. I always go with the Mozz-Pesto and add Avocado - tremendous sandwich! Great Ciabatta bread, perfect amount of mozz, tomato, greens, avocado and delicious pesto. The prices are just fine, and the deliveries are always on time. The grocery list is great but I just wish they had a bit more extensive/creative deli section for my sandwich orders. Nonetheless, solid 4 stars+. read more

I have a love hate with yummy.com. It's very convenient, who doesn't love getting groceries delivered within 30 minutes. The delivery people are very nice, no complaints there. All items are incredibly marked up in price. With that a delivery fee around $5 plus tax is usually $2-$3 and then a tip for the delivery person. It kind of feels like robbery lol. I've never used their delivery service, which people seem to have complaints with. I consider it a convenience store plus: The prices are a tad higher (in most cases than the grocery store), but it's conveniently located, smaller, but quicker. This is a review of their delivery service. I have placed delivery orders around 5-6 times. I don't have much experience going into the store itself. The idea here is excellent but I have 2 main criticisms: 1. Their inventory system seems almost always incorrect. I have never placed an order that did not need to be amended with a phone call from them. This is understandable but undermines the convenience. 2. I have never received every item that I have ordered. Usually this is 1-5 items missing from the order that are still on the receipt, meaning I still paid for them. Sometimes it's that I ordered some number of things, say 2, but only receive 1 because they didn't mind the quantities. Other times items are simply absent. This can be easily remedied with a phone call, but again undermines the convenience. Usually I'd rather just get on with my day. Everyone seems nice and friendly and 30 minute delivery is spectacular but they have to get their inventory management and delivery quality up to a higher standard. read more

Very convenient place for me to run and in and grab some last minute groceries, lunch or just an Yerba Matte tea. They have a decent selection of goods and offer a delivery service (which I would never use) but always a good option! The items here however are a bit overpriced in comparison to a Vons or Trader Joes so I only stop by when I don't want to drive to another grocery store. The other thing I love about Yummy is that they have a very good sandwich/salad bar made fresh for you. I love the turkey sandwich there, it comes with turkey, cheese, mixed greens, tomatoes and any other ad-ons you might want. The Chinese chicken salad they make is decent - wayyyyyyy too many peanuts on top which was a bit overwhelming and I literally had a can of peanuts at the bottom of my container when I finished! They also have fresh baked cookies, baguettes and a wide selection of other sandwiches. There's a nice outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your food and also a free parking lot on the side of the building! read more

When Friday night arrives the last thing I want to do is get stuck at a grocery store. So I look in the fridge and realize those old bananas and the wilted salad are not a wise choice for dinner. What to do? Place an order at yummy! One star for being super easy! Another star for having amazing fruits and veggies. I've never seen artichokes and pink lady apples so fresh and big! I'm talking huge artichokes! Another star for having coconut bliss (it's always sold out at the local store). And....the ice cream was still frozen! like rock solid frozen! Another star for employing amazing people! Always kind, friendly and considerate. Never had anyone give me the creeps or stand so close to my door that I feel like they're inside my house. And the final star for always delivering on time! I'd say they were expensive, but there are too many positive reasons not to love this place. The 5 is a stretch, only because for what they do, they have certain advantages. They have a deli and will let you order online custom deli items. They deliver extended hours pretty quickly, unlike the 2 hour minimum window and 24 hour notice with larger grocery stores. They have quite a few options and specials for free delivery. Their deli items are all good. It is best to order the meats and dressing for salads on the side, IMO, because they give you enough of it that you can save half of it to make sandwiches with later! Their wine selection is surprisingly good and not what you find in grocery stores. They will offer specials that are a really good value on some really good wines. I've gotten a couple of my favorite wines that I only discovered because of their wine specials. They also offer some of the same higher end options you find at Whole Foods, both my oat milk and protein nut bread, which rocks. It's also interesting to me knowing that they are a smaller store that even though I've been ordering from them for two years, I'm still discovering new items! I've had pretty good luck when I called into the store. I did find the service of the deli to be typical deli slow when I walked in one time and realize that was because they're probably preparing orders in the order in which they came and have a lot of orders before mine. Wow. What a mess their website is. I really want and can even afford a grocery service as I hate grocery shopping. But, after a frustrating half hour trying to order from the site, I was told it doesn't seem to work with my browser, Chrome. I thought that sort of glitch was from the last century. After repeatedly having to change my password, and being denied access to my own list of previous purchases, my cart was suddenly full of products I had bought in the past! I carefully edited things I didn't want out of the cart and then, when I went to checkout, it all disappeared! I tried again with another browser. It now does not recognize my password again, is requiring I change it, etc. etc. Really Yummy? With the prices you charge this convenience should actually be convenient. Sorry. Horrible Customer Service and Management. It's been over a month since I reached out to them about three, not one; but three unwarranted charges I saw on my bank account. After being a loyal client to them for quite sometime, you would at minimal expect a callback from the Manager; especially when you called multiple times and left a meticulous message with an employee which said the Manager would reach out at his convenience. There's a small parking lot located off Maltman that's rarely full aside from their delivery trucks (I believe this is the bulk of their business). In terms of proteins, it's a small, pricey selection. There are three aisles that total the space in addition to a fresh sandwich counter -- I enjoy the fancy chicken salad from time to time. If you live nearby and need groceries without having to drive up Hyperion for Trader Joe's or drive a ways to a Whole Foods or Sprouts, Yummy.com is a decent next option for those health conscious, more sustainable produce & items. That said, the prices are marked up pretty substantially though, for those moments from time to time the convenience is unbeatable if you're near. read more

The delivery system and people are fantastic and absolutely lovely. Always on time and great customer service. However I will most likely never shop at the store again as a number of employees have no customer service skills what so ever. I was continuously ignored by cashiers not even a hello or a thank you. This is unacceptable. There were a few instances when they were on their phones the entire time and once I saw an interaction where a customer tried to interact in a positive way with the cashier, they flat out ignored them as if it didn't happen. I am a frequent customer of yummy.com Mid-City. I can easily order $500 a month in groceries. And quite frankly I could order that from Ralphs or Vons or anybody else. Within the past 6 months yummy.com Mid-City service has declined drastically. Taking well over an hour sometimes even an hour and a half to deliver groceries. They are located two blocks away from my home. And this happens without so much as a call from the manager saying hey we're running a little behind. I simply sit here with my children or my parents waiting for their food. People frequently answer the phone and put you on hold for at least four minutes before they come back. Clean up your act yummy because I can go elsewhere and so can everyone else. read more

However, when I looked at my checking account this morning, I found that I have been debited by Yummy.com twice for $69.08 which was the amount of my last order. THERE IS NO WAY TO REACH THE STORE OR HEADQUARTERS! When I call the phone number I get a message that just keeps repeating. I have tried messaging Yummy.com but have received no response. I have e-mailed, but no response. I do not drive and definitely do not want to hire Lyft to go to the store to straighten this out. I am a senior with a compromised immune system. Welcome to the neighborhood! Great to see a smaller grocery delivery place that saves me time and hassle going to the grocery store. It was my first time trying out an online order and the guy came within the timeframe and the ice cream was still frozen!! Though I admit the website inventory part was not accurate, they did call to tell me what wasn't in stock and then resent another driver to give me a substitute. I really appreciated that!! I hope that when this business grows in customers that it keeps up the prompt delivery, the food staying frozen (this was what stopped me from trying online food delivery before), and the quality staying fresh. So far, I've ordered three times from here, and all my experiences have been wonderful. I will be honest: two out of the three times I have ordered from here, they have called me (within 5 minutes of placing my order) to inform me that they were out of stock of a certain product I had requested. However, this has not a been a big deal to me as I would expect this from a smaller grocery store that delivers. Updating in real time can be rough, dude, so let it go.
