We came in, the place was empty. The server was so nice but she doesn't speak much English. She got our order wrong and brought food out we didn't even order. At the end we gave up and just ate what she did bring but never got half our order. Also the prices are high for the portions of food. This place is a gem. We stopped here for dinner recently for a Korean fix, and it's fair to say their side dishes pretty much blew me away! The dining room is sizable, but it wasn't exactly packed on this rainy weeknight. We settled on the bibim and sweet and sour pork, and were greeted with a good number of side dishes before the main game. My faves were the incredibly tender fish cakes, fried tofu, and the cucumber kimchi. The mains came out without delay, and although the bibim may not have been extraordinary, it brought back the taste of Korea that had been sorely missing in my life. I loved the minced bulgogi and the red paste. The sauce for the sweet and sour pork was outstanding, and this definitely had its own twist and a good mix of veggies. The lady of the house was friendly and generous, and I hope they keep doing well for years to come. We'd love to go back. read more

I don't give 5 stars very often, but this little hole in the wall Korean restaurant earns it! Firstly, it's not fancy it is exceptionally clean with a 98 sanitation score. They can accommodate a large group up to 20, but I'd call ahead first as they normally only staff one server at night. Lunch is very busy. They have a large assortment of Banchan, and everything was very tasty. The kimchi was delicious but not exceedingly hot. I suggest Mandu as the appetizer as it is made in-house. The seafood pancake was exceptional, and the seafood was cooked perfectly! The chicken, galbi, and bulgolgi all came out on sizzling plates and were delicious. Portion sizes were healthy, and I had plenty left to take home. Finally, they have kids' meals, which is hard to find in Korean. The prices are very fair. They have a smattering of Japanese fare for those less adventurous (katsu, teriyaki, soba). 10/10 reccomend! read more

I had my dad visit from home (Hawaii) and we LOVE Korean food, I'm talking about authentic Korean food not mainstream type of stuff even though they have literally EVERYTHING. We bought at least 4 plates, chicken katsu: GREAT, shrimp fried rice: fresh & flavorful with that umami taste, I got the Korean cold noodles (something I've been wanting to try for a while) & it didn't disappoint, Meat jun& kalbi combo (my go to) & my dad got the Kalbi soup? I forgot what it was called that shit was gooooood. & ALL THE VEGETABLES. That's my favorite. Entrees: Bulgogi and Bi Bim bob Bulgogi was amazing! Beef slices Served on a skillet with a marinade that i'd gorge myself on. Served with warm sticky white rice. Had a hot sauce to add on that id go there just for that. Ample amount of side dishes to eat with bulgogi . Great experience. Perfect Portion size, although i could eat three orders cause of how much I now love it! Bi Bim Bob looked amazing and tasted better said my wife. Honestly was a little jealous until i started eating ! From the one or two bites i ate myself .. i can say i enjoyed the fresh flavors and vegetables with beef and egg and ugh just look at the pictures! Service: No amazing conversation but she did all i could ask for ! Came to table quick , got our food out quick, asked if we needed another drink and left us alone to enjoy! I did wait a lil longer than expected to get a check .. then i realized we had to go up and pay lol Final assessment: The food is what you go for here .. not the experience. Soooo i love this place, I've had Korean food before in other cities and this one is a gem. First, the ladies that work there are very nice and have soooo much knowledge on what they are cooking. My cousin is allergic to fish and she shortened the list by ingredients for her and she was still able to have a good amount of options. For their price, you get beyond the amount of food you can probably eat in one sitting. The Kimchi is bomb! The bulgogi & fish cake is AMAZING! I'll start off with saying I spent a year and a half in Korea eating out almost every day and always trying somewhere new.. so with that said my expectation might be higher because I've been searching for that same taste I enjoyed while in Korea. I think I've been here twice but I can't remember the first time and it felt like I had been there before which automatically made me want to leave.. the staff was nice I can say that but my issue comes from the disconnect between food and cost... I spent $40 that day and what I got was Samgyeopsal-gui , and a bowl of ramen... This entailed about 8 small blan pieces of grilled pork belly a bowl of over cooked rice that had a weird taste (I love almost all kinds of rice) a bowl of ramen which was under cooked and poorly flavored.. (anything noodles are my favorite) there was Romain for the grilled pork belly but it was poorly prepared. It was just 5 pieces of extremely long leafs that looked like they were just ripped off and neatly stacked on a plate. The traditional way of eating the grilled pork belly is the leaf with one or two pieces of meat some rice and kimchi and pretty much whatever on the table that you would like to add put on top of this palm sized leaf. The leaf I got from here was so large in comparison that using 1 piece of meat some rice kimchi and sprouts I used two leafs that I had to tear apart multiple times and couldn't even use half of the leaf. And the bowl of ramen wasn't a lot at all like one bag of the Nissan ramen at Walmart you get for 50 cents, no it wasn't those noodles they tasted like they had potential they were just handled with out care to how much they charge customers for the disappointment.. Now compare that to when I was in Korea, I would have spent $10 for all you can eat grilled pork belly that I cook, and a bowl of ramen at that size cooked wonderfully would have been about 4 bucks maybe cheaper depending on where I went. Who ever owns this store, I'm sorry for the bad review, please get back to the roots of taking pride in what you are selling.. when I was in Korea I got a huge bowl of Jjajangmyeon for 8 bucks by a man who spent $20,000 at a school just to learn the art behind the dish. Literally it was only for that dish now he runs a Jjajangmyeon shop. It was the best I've ever had read more

The side dishes are plentiful and if you come in on the weekend, one of the sides served is mac salad, Hawaiian style (the owners are a Korean couple from Hawai'i). A little taste of home. So good!! I ordered Bi Bim Bap and it was outstanding!! Remember when you go there are two types of Bi Bim Bap, hot pot or regular; I ordered the regular. We also ordered Fried Mandoo and it was sooooooo good! The service was super fast and we got several different sides and even rice. For the amount of food you get with unlimited refills on sides, the price was outstanding! I ordered the Dol Sok Bi Bim Bob over fried rice and got it over cold noodles instead?? I don't like noodles, so that was a big disappointment. I also ordered Half Kim Bob and I'm not sure if it was supposed to be warm, but it was. They need to put their cold dishes in a separate bag frim the warm. I absolutely love it here! I am a HUGE fan of Korean food, bi bim bap, kalbi, bulgogi, yuk kae jung are just my absolutely favorites. Im happy that the meats are not covered in sauce and they are flavored perfectly. The sides are plentiful and can be refilled and the flavor is on point with them. I have yet to experience bad service yet and our server has always been pleasant! Big plus is there's a kids menu!! I know people measure Korean food in different ways (bi bim bap, bulgogi, etc) but my first ever dish in Seoul was Yuk Kane Jung and since then I've only found places in Atlanta that taste the exact same!
