I like this place. They are friendly on the phone and in-person, the food is prepared and delivered to my residence at the speed of light and is nice and hot and, well, yummy! The pork fried rice is always old because it's never hot and steaming like it just too be. Not spending my money on it every again. Your can definitely tell they have rice sitting all day long and funny make it fresh like they should. They do this to make very fast money. I'm afraid I have to side with the general consensus on this place. I was across the street when I picked up on the delicious smells that, based on what was around, could have only been coming from this place. I'm new to the area and I decided "why not?".  You see, I'm not a very spontaneous person...  I like to do my homework beforehand;  had I done my yelping before I may not have visited this place at all.  What  I will give them credit for. I have placed my order at 6:20 pm. and received my food by 6:25 pm. This is not an exaggeration. But what good is fast service if the food is less than spectacular? Here's what I ordered (All but the Lobster Sauce was part of their "House Special Combination"): + Crab Rangoons + Pork Fried Rice + Lobster Sauce + Beef Teriyaki + General Gao's Chicken Crab rangoons is something I have a little bit of a weakness for. I will always get them, even though I know they may not be the best thing for me. I did not find them overly greasy as some Yelpers mentioned items at this location can be. I do however have several criticisms: First, they seemed like they were just a touch overdone. Second, they were seriously devoid of meat, mostly cream cheese. Third, and these are very small items which don't really bother me all that much is that the dough could have been a couple millimeters thinner, and they came unglued rather easily. Pork fried rice was, unfortunately, less than appetizing. To their credit, it did have a somewhat decent amount of boneless pork (that boneless pink colored stuff).  however even though there was some pork in there, I found it exceedingly bland and quite dry. Now, I would have hoped that the lobster sauce would offer some salvation and redemption to this, dare I say, atrocious rice.  It did offer some in that it offered moisture, but not a whole lot else. While I did like the amount of "meat" in the sauce, it well it's also rather Bland. The only flavor I could pick up on definitively was salt. Beef teriyaki was rather surprising actually. It was slightly above average relative to the beef teriyaki I've had and other Chinese places.  this was because it was a little more tender than other places make it. Not undercooked by any means, but not slightly overdone as happens way too often. The level of the marinade was also great, I did not find an overly sweet or salty, the balanced flavor was right on. The chicken was also rather surprising. It too was quite a bit more tender than I was expecting, and like the beef not undercooked.  the sauce that it came in was also delightful, not overly sweet and with just the right amount of tang.  my critique in regards to the chicken is that well Pleasant the sore seems like it was added after the fact. The chicken was not allowed to marinate in it very much, if at all. Also, per the menu this was supposed to be spicy... it was not. I'm sorry to say that while I live close by, and especially with their trash service this location would have been very convenient, the quality of food will not have me returning. Their prices might be reasonable, but, my mother once told me that it is better to spend a buck-fifty on a good piece of chocolate candy than $0.25 on a lollipop. I have been ordering takeout from here about once a week for a year since moving to the area. Never once have ran into an issue, order is usually ready within 15 minutes. Food is exactly what you would expect, it's cheap, tasty, somewhat unhealthy Chinese food, and they knock it out of the park. If you're ordering from here expecting to get more then that, you're at the wrong place. Absolutely the worst Chinese food I've ever had!! We ordered a Pu-Pu Platter for two. First off, they put all of the items stacked on top of each other in one box. Second of all, it was the greasiest food I've ever had- even for Chinese. So all of the food that was on the bottom was so soaked with grease that it was soft. I've never felt so sick eating anything in my life. I'd consider changing the name from Yummy House to something more appropriate, like "Barf Bag." read more

We ordered takeout on a Sat. night. The food was delivered within their stated time frame and arrived hot. The crab rangoons were good, not to big or small, there was a larger and smaller tub of sauce included. Because our order was over $25, we got a free order of peking ravioli. They came with 2 small tubs of a nice dipping sauce, and were deep fried, not pan fried or steamed as you usually see. We ordered hot & sour and chicken wanton soup. The hot & sour was thin for my taste,and did not have the rich brown soup base & ingredients I like from Uncle Cheung's on Route 9, but the chicken wanton soup had nice big wontons and lots of veggies. My GF who is not a veggie fan liked it. We also got the chicken teriyaki which was a nice sized order for the money. The entree was szchuan chicken w veggies. The chucks of chicken were a bit large for my taste, sauce was good and the veggies were well prepared. Delivery included 4 white bread rolls, which I think is a bit silly. In China they really don't eat dinner rolls. Not too fancy, but well prepared food and a lot for the price, and worth it, IMO. read more

We stopped for a quick lunch Sunday afternoon. Food was better than anticipated. Nothing fancy but the szechuan beef combo platter had great flavor, descent vegetables with those little mushrooms fried rice was okay and the egg roll was tasty & crispy without being greasy. Had the house fried rice, the same seafood noodle dish, and the beef teriyaki. The seafood noodle dish did not have the same jumbo shrimp as last time. But it did have some decent size scallops this time. Overall, good. House fried rice was also good, needed a touch of soy sauce but had a good variety of pork and veggies in it. Beef teriyaki. Now, it had good flavor but there is a different taste to it than other beef teriyaki that I've had. For one, this is a thicker cut. I'm a little iffy on the beef teriyaki but I honestly ate all of it and didn't get sick. So still 3 stars in my book. read more

July 26 2013 Just ordered from yummy house. It was horrible what a waste of $64 dollars. ,the teriaki steak was so thin you could see through it. Chicken chowmein was inedible. I doubt I will ever order from there again. all of it was inedible, disgusting , I wouldn't even feed this crap to my dog..... Yummy house needs to go back a few years when it was good. My Experience I have been going here for years and in that time period, yes they have switched owners! Possibly too many times because I feel every time they change owners the food seems to get worse. The last time I yet which was not too long ago I got 4 meals. One of the meals was the General Gau chicken with pork fried rice. The chicken as it is advertised to be spicy is none of the sorts! The chicken is not even a tad spicy and I am not good with spicy things so I would know if it was spicy! Next the pork fried rice was dry and flavorless! The pork in it was not the same type you could buy seperately! You can clearly tell because the pork was much more dry and had way less flavor! Next, another meal we ordered was white rice with vegetables! Over the phone they said they did not sell white rice with the vegetables so they told us to buy white rice seperately. Turns out that was a scam for our money because in the end they ended up charging us for 2 white rice and turns out the vegetables did come with the rice! Also we ordered a large boneless spear rib as we usually did before they switched owners and it came in the same container as the small but they still charged us for the large! We also bought a sesame seed chicken meal and they ended up not giving us sesame seeds on the SESAME chicken! Probably will not being going there again! I was stopped by this restaurant yesterday Sunday because my teenager daughter cried for Chinese Food. We ordered the Fried chicken Wings, Crab Rangoons & House Special Rice. The Wings were so good, less grease, not salty at all. Healthy! other restaurant's loaded with lots of sodium! the crab Rangoon was so delicious. we shared with our friends, they all keep saying the food was so delicious. the place was clean, neat. the services was very pleasant! We ordered some food from them today. Ordered house lo mein, house fried rice and egg foo young. She repeated the order back to me, but couldn't understand her, so I said yes. When we got the order, we had 2 lo meins (who orders small lo meins) and the house fried rice. My husband called them back to say they got the order wrong and she started arguing with him (who argues with customers??). They have lost our business. I gave 2 stars because the woman that answers the phone and takes the orders pisses me off . She is really rude and pushy , I have only called 3 times and each time has been horrible . She tells me to hurry up and make my order and she will not take any special orders because they are very busy. And she doesn't stop talking and when I ask her to let me speak to make my order she yells at me every time and tells me I don't want to argue with you . She talks over customers way too much . Yummy House is under new management and the food was not as good as in the past. The chicken fingers were bland as was the chicken teriyaki sticks. The fried rice with lobster sauce was okay.
