Pad Thai was salty. Rice was dry and not fresh. We were in a group of six with 18% service charge automatically add on to our bill(even did a round up charge the waiter never really checked on us. Never once filled up our water cups. Service didn't really exist!!! Appetizer egg rolls was a joke. They cut 2 egg rolls in 6 pieces and charged 7+ dollars... not impressed. Service was slow and food was below average. Went here for lunch with my co-workers. I called ahead since we had a party of 10. The table was ready when we got there. However, that was the only good thing I can say about this place. After 20 minutes, they delivered our food one dish at a time over the course of the next 10 minutes. One person's food never came out and had to be re-ordered. The food was bland. Because of our large party, the bill arrived with the gratuity included. Since the service was poor, I complained that the person's food that never came out should not have to pay for her dish. Instead they reprinted each bill and removed the 20% gratuity. I've only gotten delivery from Yummy Thai, but this is quickly becoming my favorite Thai place! The delivery took about 45 mins the first time I ordered, but today I placed my order right at noon and it only took about 20 minutes! I ate here all the time prior to the new management. I thought they had the best green curry because they didn't put green beans or eggplant in it. I also loved their Shrimp In The Blanket/Crispy Shrimp Rolls. That was my absolute favorite item on the menu. However, the new management took the shrimp rolls off the menu and I haven't returned. Been here a few times with family before at dinner time, food was ok. Today we returned for lunch, by far it's the worst food we have experienced. Pad thai noodle is soggy and blend, crispy pork belly (overly fried) would fly across the table when trying to picks up with your fork. The only thing my kid look forward to eating is chicken satay, dried and flavorless. We were hoping to our last dish to be appetizing but pork skewers was one of the worst of all. I have been to many Thai restaurants in the DFW area and I would rank this one lower on the list. I came in on a whim for dine in since it's around the corner from my home and had past by it so many times. The inside is well furnished and looks like a typical thai resturant with an open design with many tv's if u want to come in and watch a game. I kept it simple and got the panang curry, number 3 spicy on their lunch special which included 1 veggie egg roll and a soup. What set my first impression was the soup which I believe was hot and sour. It was way too sweet compared to what I've had many times before and quite cold so that killed my excitement for the remainder of my lunch. The main meal portion was quite small and they all only give 1 egg roll if you pick the veggie egg roll. My curry tasted fine - nothing special. It was not spicy at all so I guess I should of picked the highest spice which was number 5. My egg roll which is usually my favorite appetizer was cold and stale - I didn't know you could mess that up! The worst egg roll I've ever had. The customer service was ok- friendly when you walk in. However, my waitress never checked up on me until it was time to hand the check. I will likely give this place one more try due to the proximity to my home so I hope it will better next time! read more

Came for lunch on a Saturday. I was the third table so not busy at all. I got the drunken noodle, which I get a lot at other Thai restaurants. I'd say it decent. Good flavor, I got it with basil and jalapeños only. I also got the baby egg rolls. No joke, baby! Probably won't order those again. Not worth the money. It was pretty pricey for the small portions. Recently ordered from Yummy Thai and was so please buy the experience that I am so happy to write a review. My husband ordered the Yellow Curry and he does not like spicy food so we chose the option "not spicy" & guess what I didn't have to break out the coconut milk ( which has been in the case for other restaurants). I ordered the Beef pho (extra meat) and when I tell you it had extra meat, it had extra meat! I love the way they separated every single thing in the dish. The noodles and meat were together, the extras were together (ie. bean sprouts cilantro and sauces), even the broth was in its own container. I really loved this because it ensured that nothing would be soggy or overcooked and that I would be able to decide how I wanted it prepared. My husband and I were very very happy with the quality of food and the quickness of the delivery and will definitely be ordering from Yummy Thai in the future. read more

Ordered delivery and the food was good, but the Chinese broccoli in the dish tasted either as if the cooking wine had not been cooked off, or that there were chemicals used to treat the vegetables before cooking. I LOVE THIS PLACE. It helps that I can walk right across the street to get it. They're still new, so I can understand them having some spotty service, however, I have never had issues with their service and my food has never taken a long time to come out. I've never been to Thailand, but I'd like to say their food is pretty authentic. There's the typical Thai menu like Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and Pad Woon Sen, but then they got the stuff that takes a long time to prep that other Thai restaurants do not serve, like two different style of sausages that can have a pretty intricate prep sausage. I don't think I've had anything I haven't liked. Maybe I'll upload pictures eventually. Things I've tried: Crispy Basil with Preserved Eggs---Awesome! The basil really is crispy and I love the century eggs (You might want to research it before you try it! This is not for the feint of heart!) Baby Egg Rolls ---Made with chicken, love it. Crab Rangoons ---Not your typical Chinese food rangoons. Dustin D. loves it. Spicy Raw Shrimp ---Again, not for the feint of heart. I loved it. The bitter melon and mint leaves compliment the shrimp perfectly with this kickin' spicy sauce. Sai Oua and Sai Krok Isan ---Didn't care much for either of these. I can tell it takes time to prep, it's just not my palette. They're not bad, just not my thing. I prefer Laos Sausage. Tiger Cry ---Steak was cooked to order and perfectly rare for me. And it was so freakin' tender, I wanted more. Sauce was good too. It's like a Thai version of Com Bo Luc Lac. (Shaking Beef) Kapi Fried Rice ---This is another one I can get over and over again. The fried rice with the shrimp paste and shredded omelet and dried shrimp. To die for! And the the tender pork it comes with. Man I'm drooling just writing about it. And you can adjust the spicy level. (A 3 has a decent kick to it.) Long Life Noodle ---Also on their lunch menu. Good, but so many better things. Lard Nar Mee Krob ---Not like Chinese/Vietnamese pan fried noodles. Good, but this dish is swimming in sauce. A little too much for our preference. Thai Fried Rice ---Good, Nothing to write home about, but it hit's my fix. Pad See Eiw ---Again good, but I feel like all Thai places make this the same. Kao Na Ped ---The roasted duck is pretty good. I would like this one more if it didn't have ginger in the Hainan rice. I think I just realized I eat here too often. I found this spot a few months ago when I moved into the area. I was craving Thai, but I feel like most places are generic with your typical known Thai courses. I decided to take a chance with this spot and once I stepped inside, seen the Buddha shrine, and heard the heard the Thai music, I knew I came to the right spot. Opening up the menu, there were a lot of well known Thai/Lao dishes... Everything from Si Oua (sausage), to larb (minced chicken or beef salad), Pho, basil chicken, to Lad Na!!! I was impressed with the wide selection they had to fulfill your every type of craving. To top off the authentic-ness, they even had each dish name spelled out in Thai under the English translation. I've been here wayyy too many times, so here's my experience with some of the menu items: - Drunken Noodles, INCREDIBLE! - Lad Na, MOUTHWATERING! - Pad Thai, TASTY! - Basil Chicken, THE BEST I'VE HAD YET! - OKAY LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE STIR FRY/FLAT NOODLE DISH IS A MUST TRY AND YOU WILL, I REPEAT, WILL -- FALL IN LOVE!!! - Now, the PHO... Usually it's hard to find a decent spot with the combination of good broth, plentiful noodles, accompanied with meats/ingredients. I will have to rate Yummy Thai as having one of the best pho in the area. To top it off, they have legit SUGAR! Not that Splenda or Stevia haha! Most Thai/Lao people use sugar to dress up their pho and everything is provided here for you. Since I was always raised with adding sugar, I love having the option, unlike going to a Vietnamese place. Don't get me wrong, if you're one of those that like plain broth, then you can't go wrong here either. A+ Okay, enough blabbering... Yummy Thai is legit. My first review of this place was pretty great. However, that has changed. I ordered a second time in the same week because I've been sick and this time I ordered some food for my husband. I ordered the Orange Sesame Chicken and guess what was we got.... Orange Sesame PORK! I also got a small cup of Tom Kha and the vegetables were either over cooked or previously cooked and reheated. Ordered a number 3 (spicy) chicken fried rice and no flavor at all. They also replaced my beef egg rolls with spring rolls. I called back to also mention I requested more than one dipping sauce for the egg rolls and they said one is all they give (for 6 rolls).
