Yune's Sushi has a good menu with great service and atmosphere. I prefer to sit down and enjoy dinner at the restaurant over takeout.

Yune's is a great sushi and fusion Asian place. Their Korean food is pretty great, including the tofu soup. But sushi is the star. We have eaten here probably 10-12 times, and have never had a bad meal. The sushi is very fresh and portions are generous. Rolls are also tasty and full of fish. Prices are quite reasonable too. Service is generally outstanding. They can be busy sometimes but their wait staff are very nice, especially April. The owner is also really wonderful. We consider ourselves to be pretty good judges of sushi, and consider Yune's to be an excellent option for quality, service and price. read more

Sushi and sashimi plater for 1 had enough food for two for sure and had some left over for a third person. Chicken teriyaki had an excellent flavor of teriyaki sauce but the chicken was a little too tough. Spicy pork was good but for Koreans, could use a little more flavor, bit more spicy. The waitstaff was incredibly kind. She took the time to explain all the dishes to my very demanding family who can try my patience at times. I had gone there for my birthday and the chef came out to wish me a happy birthday- I've never had that experience in my life before. It was nice to see a family oriented atmosphere. The food was excellent they really grasp the idea of Asian fusions they had a traditional Korean food, your Japanese middle and some of the appetizers what you'd think as Chinese food. Would definitely recommend to any families looking for a good Asian spot. read more

Good sushi is hard to come by in the Hudson Valley but this would hold it's own even in Manhattan. No, this is not Jiro's or Nobu so the sashimi is just on par. I would recommend sticking with sushi rolls, Korean food, and hot Japanese food which they do very well here. The lunch bento boxes are a solid deal and give you a fresh variety of food. The California roll price index is $4.45 which is a good deal. However the speciality rolls can be pricey at $12 and up. read more

We would not normally come here because it's relatively far from our home but Yelp strikes again and searching through reviews allowed us to find this place while visiting the area. I came here for my birthday with a party of 10 and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is warm and relaxing and the staff was accommodating. Our server Paulie was exceptional. She went out of her way to ensure that we were well taken care of and was incredibly kind. I had the miso soup, spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura. The miso soup was delicious and amongst the best I've had. The spicy tuna roll had too much cream cheese for my liking, but was not terrible. This is without doubt the best Sushi restaurant in the Monroe area. The menu is robust and the prices are reasonable. Try the Udon Seafood Soup. You really can't compare Yunes with any other sushi - the rolls are very original, perfect symmetry and ratios of raw fish and spice/rice and all the rest of the love they put into their rolls. Hands down the best sushi/sashimi and Korean food in town! Spicy pork bulgogi: delicious!! The well cooked pork is sweet and very mildly spicy thus suits my taste. The only feedback I have is the presentation can improve and would prefer less oily. Sushi/sashimi combo for ONE: it's HUGE and has beautiful presentation for picture lovers. All the pieces are HEAVENLY delicious! The Yunes roll was filled with fresh fish pieces, mouth watering. The sashimi was portioned well and fresh. I've been to Haru 3 times. Once for lunch, two times at dinner, and also I ordered take out once. On the plus side the sushi is very good and is a welcome change to the sea of Italian restaurants and mediocre Asian restaurants in Monroe. it needs to survive if Monroe will ever grow into a decent place to dine out. For now, they still have work through labor issues and resolve the service shortfalls. Every experience has been too long and since they do not currently have a beer license that causes a lot of frustration. I truly hope they figure it out, get a second sushi chef, and get their beer and wine license before too many clients lose interest in waiting 2 hours to eat a sushi meal. read more

Amazing spot, extremely fresh seafood, great service and ambiance. My boyfriend and I had a table next to the sushi bar and got to see all the food coming out and it all looked incredible. The best sushi in the area hands down. We got the dumpling appetizer, kimchi fried rice, seafood soup, and my boyfriend got an item off the korean part of the menu (hwe dop bap) which was a variety of raw seafood with cucumber, carrot, mixed greens, sticky rice and korean chili paste on the side. Having just arrived from a cross-country trip on a grey, rainy Sunday evening, I really wanted to find a good place to sit, eat some good food, and drink a little wine. Yelp informed me that, unfortunately, there was little to choose from meeting that criteria in this immediate area. I chose this place solely because of the Yelp reviews... ...which unfortunately let me down. First, I sat for more than 10 minutes before being greeted and having my order taken. The restaurant was half-filled and it appeared that there were two servers on the floor. During this time I observed one table being served a check without a pen- and it took until after I received my food that they received a pen to sign their bill. Another table was served the wrong check, along with the wrong credit card! For me, I ordered a glass of Pinot, an appetizer (three nations dumplings) and a roll (the diablo). 10 minutes later my appetizer arrived. It was okay, but all three versions of dumplings were fried, which I was not expecting. 10 minutes after that (now 20 min since I ordered) the waitress informed me that they were out of that particular kind of wine. I ordered another glass, which came about 5 min later. The roll arrived shortly after that. It was okay. The environment was pleasant and clean. The food was acceptable, but perhaps below what I consider average for a decent sushi place. The service was very slow, and not very professional. This was my experience on a cold, grey, rainy Sunday evening in early May. I wish it had been better. read more

This is my favorite sushi spot! Not only do they have amazing rolls, but their other dishes are delicious as well. My family and I order dinner here almost weekly, even throughout the pandemic and we always received consistent service with a smile (even through the mask!) They've expanded!! It looks great inside Yune's. The menu is the same with the great fresh sushi. The staff seems to be a bit more attentive and friendly. The woman who greeted us at the door reminded me a little bit of Jane Krakowski. She was very friendly and checked in on us often. I still love the Phoenix roll and have added a few others to my favorites. We came in a half hour before closing and there were a good number of people there. We never felt rushed or hurried, in fact, we were encouraged to get dessert! Sadly we were too full to try the fried ice cream that was recommended, but there is always next time! read more

It was an awful experience. It takes forever to order and the restaurant with only about 25% full. I ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer. They made a mistake and there was no vegetables on it. Then waitress said "oh you noticed?" You would think after that they would make an effort to improve the experience. But no. The sushi rolls had a LOT of rice.. way more than I have ever seen on any sushi roll before. I couldn't really fit them in my mouth, and could also barely taste what was inside the roll because of how much rice they put. A little disappointed. The order also took nearly 30 minutes to make, not sure if that's normal but I have waited only 15 minutes at other restaurants for two sushi rolls. Hopefully they listen to their reviews. read more
