Omg ate here like 3 times while i was here on tdy for a week. So so good. And this place gets packed during lunch! Friendly service and nice variety on the menu. I was upset that they wont let you order dukbeokki during lunchtime but they will serve everything else.. Also, i requested no seafood in my spicy tofu soup and they still put seafood in it, they were happy to fix it but had it been an allergy and not a preference that could have been bad. They need to be very careful in following through with special requests. Other than that food was always authentic and deliciously on point! I drive 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back every weekend just to get the beef bulgogi and the soondubu jjigae(spicy soft tofu soup). I always get both dishes at a 4/5 spice level and its always delicious. This place has the best Korean food in the area hands down. I've also had the galbi(short-ribs) and its phenomenal and definitely worth the price. They also have great lunch combos. I have been there to dine in during the slow hours and also during the peak dinner hours on a Friday and the service is always quick and friendly. The staff are always very nice and polite. Such a lovely little quaint restaurant. There was only one person working at the time, but we didn't have to wait long. She was really nice and made us feel welcomed. Our food came within 10 mins of ordering. Everything we had, we were happy with. It was so delicious and tasted like true authentic Korean food. Although I must say, it's a little on the pricier side than what I'm used to in Hawaii, and that in itself says a lot. Pleasant ethnic restaurant we stumbled across when visiting Wright-Patterson AFB. Middle America isn't noted for its ethnic diversity in dining, and spice can be difficult to find. I have eaten at a lot of Korean places in Asia, Houston, Austin, Dallas, LA and New York, and this is one of my favorite Korean restaurants. I had the seafood hot pot for 2 with real crab/seafood that didn't taste rubbery, galbi, and bulbogi. It felt like the dishes were home-cooked by a Korean mom. It is not too saucy, oily, sweet, or salty like the other Korean restaurants. Instead the soup was amazing with natural seafood and vegetable flavors. They provided good service as well. We enjoyed their bulgogi but the Dolsat Bi Bim Bap was much better especially when we mixed the beef with the bulgogi as there wasn't enough beef in the bulgogi compared to the amount of rice. The side dishes of pickled cabbage, soybeans, zucchini, seaweed, pressed soy strips, and lightly marinated daikon were welcomed. Even more welcoming was the red chili sauce which we spread liberally over our dish. The place is dated and needs a cleaning as there was food particles near a person's table that had not been used. We would know since we were one of the first ones to arrive. The walls need to be painted as there are obvious areas where there is missing areas and the wallboard is visible. A customer asked to use the restroom and was told they are outside! Well my bladder shut off immediately. So the food is very good but the ambience is in need of TLC. Checked out this place with my family and a family friend - who is Korean. Loved the dumplings! Everything was made fresh- we ordered the bulgogi, soups and calamari. I was in during the COVID pandemic and noticed the prices had been jacked up significantly. I went to get takeout and when I started to pay, the owner forced me to pay a tip of a few dollars even though it was a takeout. I had been in other times and the waitresses get scorned by the owners for giving refills of Kinchee and the other Korean vegetables. Not a friendly place to go in my opinion. I came to Ohio for training and was told to "try the Korean place outside of the base." Being of Korean descent, you know I had to try this place out. The ambiance of the place was less than desirable. The waitress was nice but didn't seem like she really wanted to be there. It could have been because the place was packed since it was lunch time (1130). I was really disappointed in the menu as they did not have Galbi :-(. I wanted to cry because it's my most favorite thing when eating out at a Korean restaurant. Bulgogi doesn't even do it for me. They had some good lunch specials and the price was decent. I opted to get the Dolsot Bibimpop, which is part of the dinner menu. They do have bibimpop on the lunch menu but it doesn't come in the stone bowl, which is what I prefer. My friend ordered the spicy pork bulgogi (5 level spice). The order came out quickly and my bibimpop was fabulous! You can hear the rice popping from the stone being piping hot, and the vegetables that come in it were spot on. The banchan (side dishes) were lacking and I could have used for some more variety. However, what was there was sufficed in flavor. My friend's pork bulgogi was tender, and had a great blend of sweet, salty and spiciness! It also came with 2 mandu's (Korean egg rolls) and white rice. Of course no Korean is as good as your mama's cookin' but this place didn't disappoint. I'd recommend it if you need a Korean fix! I would have given it a 5 had they had Galbi on the menu but opted for 4 because I was disappointed from the start. Happy eating! read more

It has been a while, since I was there, as service during our last visit was very bad. It was as if it was a ridiculous request to ask for a refill of water. Anyways, four of us went to Yungs on Friday, January 3rd and the bill came to $70. I take the receipt to checkout and was advised during the process, the bill was as almost $7 more than the receipt reflected. I asked why and the cashier said change in prices. The meal usually comes out in 10 minutes or less. I'm not sure how they do it so fast, but everything is always hot on my plate, including the two gyoza. The banchan is awesome here... And they always will bring you more if you ask. (Finish your side dishes first though, manners people, manners)! The staff are usually super busy, but are still friendly. It's in a not as decent area, but it's a little hole in the wall place, which means that it has to be good. Which it totally was. They don't have desserts or Thai tea (I ask for Thai tea every Asian restaurant I go to! ) the waitress is very friendly. B-5 was so good. I can handle spice however I got a level 3. But it's been a hot minute since I've had spice so it was a bit rough. The noodles I think were glass noodles? I don't know what they were but I loved them! Very good flavoring. I got rice with it as well and then the waitress brought a bunch of side things that can go on your dish. Kimchi was one of them but I definitely recommend this place to everyone. It looks a little run down from the outside, but me & my husband decided to try it out bcuz it's close to home & we were craving some Korean food. Their menu has a pretty good selection but we opted for something familiar: dolsot bibimbap & bulgogi. The bulgogi came with the little sides usually served with krn bbq which I always enjoy & expect. The bibimbap was sizzling & hot when served. The food was good for the price & we'll probably come back here to try other menu items... Can't wait to try one of their stews, which sounds delicious. I was in search for a Korean restaurant nearby since I was working in the area during the time and I came across this neat place. It looked very home-style and had a lot of great reviews, so I decided to give this place a try. I was greeted by the two waitresses that were working there at the time and they told me I was allowed to sit anywhere I wanted. Originally, I came in craving (Black Bean Noodles) but when I got to the menu, I got stuck contemplating between that and the (Soft Tofu Stew). The waitress that took my order recommended me the instead. I ordered that at the spiciest option it could get and I'm not going to lie, but it did have me sweating quite a bit. Though, it was definitely a great choice! Very delicious! It tasted quite similar to the one my aunt makes. Their (Dumplings) was really good too! The service was excellent as well. I love going to mom/pop shops like Yung's Cafe! My fiancé and I had bulgogi with a side of rice to share and it was more than enough for us. I was hoping for it to be hotter (temperature-wise), it was a little cold when it was brought to our table. We went on a Thursday night, it was pretty packed, and there was only one server for the whole restaurant... which is most likely why our food got cold. Serving good food and seeing how busy it gets, they may need more help serving. Besides that, I would recommend this restaurant if you're craving for some Korean food in the Dayton area. I enjoyed my experience at Yung's Cafe one lovely evening. I ordered the Dolsot Bi Bim Bop, a stone bowl of steaming white rice mixed with egg, cucumbers, braised beef, bean sprouts, and cooked greens. The entree also comes with several side dishes, mostly spicy vegetable dishes and sweet tofu slices. I really enjoyed my server's smooth, pleasant voice as she recommended that I order the Korean iced tea. It tasted sweet and herbal, so I look forward to it again. My entree tasted incredibly rich and fulfilled my dinner appetite. I especially liked adding the spicy hot sauce and the kimchi to my bowl, which was quite tasty and comforting to my stomach. I just ate there a several of hours ago, each time I go in I ask them for chicken cheese Ramyon but every time they say if you bring in some cheese we will make it for you. This time around though I had my usual Dumplings appetizer and main course was Beef Ramyon. They stopped selling alcohol a while ago and not sure if there ever was a karaoke there. Food was delicious though, they have a spice level of Zero to Five so I went for spice level 2 but should have asked for 3. Bathrooms have something to be desired as they are outside at the back of the building. The main dish came with three small containers of side dishes like bean sprouts , stir fried potatoes , cucumber kimchi , kimchi , radish kimchi , spicy fishcake and also with a decent amount of rice.
