I have to say I was fairly underwhelmed compared to the reviews I had read for this location. It is in an unassuming older strip mall without a ton of signage so I passed it at first glance. Upon entry I was surprised at the small, very simple, somewhat dark atmosphere. I would not want to eat in. It did seem clean. The girl who waited on me was cordial. I opted for the bowl with purple rice, chicken, and various veggies. There were not a ton of toppings options, and a few sauces. Overall my bowl was good, not great. I love the concept and healthy aspect of this restaurant, but compared to similar businesses I have been to, this was just ok. The price was reasonable. Not many drink options so I did not get one.

I LOVE KOREAN FOOD! With that being said, I don't usually order bibimbop because sometimes they add beef to it. I like that KupBop gives you the option of having either beef, chicken, or spicy pork. I got the spicy pork bibimbap over the weekend. If you're not used to eating spicy, it'll be a little spicy. Unlike other restaurants here that claim things are spicy, but they actually aren't. The ingredients here are fresh which is great. I love eating ban chan so there was a decent selection of things you could add to your bowl... and things I wouldn't think to add like cheese and kale. There are six sauces you could pick to add to your bowl. I got the Hong Kong sauce which was mayo based as well as sesame oil in my bowl. It was pretty tasty and you get a good sized portion. Their fried dumplings are vegetarian. There's a soy protein that's in it. I'd get that again as well. I liked KupBop. The owner was very friendly too! She walked around to ask everyone in the restaurant how they liked their bowls.

KupBop is a great go-to restaurant for a quick, large, cheap, and tasty meal! It's set up like a Korean Chipotle, so you pick your rice (purple, brown, or white), then your protein (bulgogi, spicy pork, or chicken), and then have a choice of unlimited veggies, including but not limited to: egg, corn, sauteed potatoes, bean sprouts, lettuce, kale, and black beans. For the protein, I've seen from previous reviews that you can ask for tofu, but can't confirm. However, they have so many veggies to top off your bowl with, so I know they are very vegetarian friendly! My boyfriend and I both got spicy pork with purple rice bowls, with almost every veggie as a topping. It was delicious, but probably a bit overwhelming if you do that because the bowl was bursting. Also - they let you sample anything that you're unsure of! I sampled three sauces before deciding to mix two of them, which they also let you do. The Seoul medium spice level sauce was my favorite.

My favorite go-to for fast, healthier food. Even my nine year old loves it. They have a child's portion but she can easily eat the full size bowl. And today I had a baby with me so they let me order an even smaller portion. I like the purple rice, spicy pork and all the toppings but cheese, add Bejing sauce. But mostly I like this place because it is not a slick chain commercializing on ethnic cuisine (Bibibop). I always prefer locally owned, but I think it's even more important when enjoying ethnic food.

The wife and I were looking for something a little different for lunch. We decided on KupBop Korean Well Being Food since we both like Korean cuisine and its name was certainly something a little different. Korean food and fast casual dining made a lot of sense and appealed to me. If you've ever been to Chipotle, the process for building your food order was simple...pick your rice, pick your protein, pick your toppings, then your sauce, and voilà, your bowl is built and served. I had brown rice with beef bulgogi, and topped with everything (bean sprouts, sautéed potatoes, black beans, cabbage, cucumber, daikon, carrot, corn, spinach, lettuce, egg) except cheese with Gangnam sauce on the side just to say that I got it Gangnam-style. My food came out fast and fresh. It was flavorful and filling. My only critique, though, was that I wished that at least one of the vegetable toppings had been a radish or cabbage kimchi. It would've added an unmistakable Korean flavor to the dish as well as a little funky spice and crunch. Still, KupBop Korean Well Being Food was a nice (and needed) change of pace to the local Dayton dining scene. It was fairly priced and a solid lunch value. I'm glad we checked it out.

Loved the fresh veggies to top off my rice bowl. If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely be coming back. Plus, the workers here provided really great costumer service.

Well hello there, KupBop, welcome to your permanent spot in my lunch rotation! Another great find brought to my attention by Yelp. So many good things to say about this place, where do I begin?? Location is good for me as it is less than 2 miles from my work. Located in the shopping center at the corner of Woodman and Dorothy Lane in Kettering, this place offers a fast lunch you can feel good about eating. Think of a Chipotle-style setup where the food is ready and you can pick exactly what you want inside your bowl. You'll find an abundance of fresh veggies, perfectly cooked sticky rice, meat, and tempting sauces guaranteed to satisfy the pickiest eaters. Start with your choice of rice: white, brown, or purple. Get adventuresome and try the purple. To me it really doesn't taste any different, but adds some nice pizzazz to the bowl. Spicy pork is delicious here, but does pack some kick so if you are more of a mild fan I'd recommend the chicken or beef. The colorful bounty of fresh veggie toppings includes kale, yellow corn, black beans, cabbage, cucumber, carrots, and more. Select your favorite sauce to top your bowl or get a few on the side to sample. The Beijing (a sweet and sour soy sauce) is delightful! You can also find additional sides like miso soup, dumplings, and egg rolls on the menu. The staff is super sweet and I really hope they succeed!

Three and a half but halves aren't options. This place is next to my favorite Indian place so it's silly I waited so long to try it. I watched its construction like a hawk, knowing it would be mine. The design for their logos and advertisements have such a clean, white, modern look about them. When my boyfriend and I entered, I was surprised it didn't look more like the Bibibop. I did like the cozy, sort of regular strip mall restaurant atmosphere that's pretty common here, though. Lower lighting, black chairs. Glowing order area. Ordering was easy. I like seeing the food available and just picking what I want. But I was disappointed there was no tofu. No tofu!? That seems like such an easy thing to add to a menu. I had a dumpling. Turns out there're vegan though they aren't advertised that way. I found it to be cold and tough though my boyfriend didn't seem to mind his. He had spicy pork and voted Kup Bop to be supreme over Bibibop if forced to eat one. I had black beans and rice with almost all the vegetables and Beijing sauce. It was good. I was pleasantly full after. But for me, Bibibop is the winner. Tofu is a nice option. I can see why some think you don't get much food. The container it's presented in is huge. It's a visual trick. Also, the seats at the high top tables are outrageously comfortable. Usually high top table chairs are the worst but these were amazing. They were five stars! I would go here again without complaint but it's not going to be in heavy rotation.

Bowl: purple rice, beef, cabbage(purple&green), daikon, lettuce, kale, carrots, cucumber, beans, egg, cheese, Gochujang and sesame oil.
    Allena I.

Went to KupBop for the first time and was satisfied with the taste of the food! The Gochujang (Red Korean chili paste - sauce) was really good-nice and spicy-and the Kimchee was good too! Most Korean restaurants I've been to out here in the Midwest have sweet kimchee and gochujang and isnt very authentic. The only thing I don't like: the portions are small; they don't give very much and the bowls, when you get it, are pretty skimpy. KupBop: Flavor-7 Portions-4 Bibibop: Flavor-5 Portions-9

A bowl of Korean Well Being!

Everybody needs a great well being! Well, I found a wonderful Korean restaurant called KupBop! Korean Well Being Food! Was my well being improved after this delicious bowl of greatness? The answer is yes! But, it was my taste buds that were overwhelmed with the spicy pork, purple rice, kale, daikon, cucumber and carrots topped with a euphoric sweet and sour Beijing sauce. You must eat here!!!!! Dr Jeff

I always like to go to this spot for some quick bite. You definitely get more than you pay for in my opinion. The sweet owner is always suggesting what to try. She made me try the purple rice and I haven't went back, it's good. Sometimes they do put too much rice I have to admit and not enough toppings. The sauces are good though I normally get the Beijing and the Seoul along with the sesame oil and seeds. Overall for the price it's a good deal.

They are kind as they serve. The food is terrific and we eat in sometimes just because. I can't believe they aren't full ALL THE TIME.

It's good but it's not amazing. The bulgogi is missing the sweet marinade. The dumpling soup is definitely just frozen store bought

The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. The prices are very fair for the quality of food they provide, and service throughout the night was decent. I will probably be back again, if I visit Dayton!
