This place has a very cool vibe! The atmosphere is fun, bright, and lively -- definitely on the louder side, but it adds to the energy. The sleek, modern décor makes it feel both stylish and inviting. Since it's still new, it was quite busy with plenty of people eager to check it out. We expected a wait, and sure enough, there was one. The only downside is that the front area isn't designed for waiting -- there's just a small bench and not much space to stand without being in the way. The staff, however, were attentive and worked quickly to seat everyone. We were initially told the wait would be 45 minutes and were about to leave, but as we turned to go, they let us know it had dropped to 20-30 minutes, so we decided to stay. Right before being seated, we learned that everyone at the table needs to choose either the Kpot or BBQ option. We weren't familiar with how it worked, so we went with BBQ. Once seated, it felt a bit overwhelming at first -- the booths are very large! I'm on the shorter side, so I found it a little difficult to get comfortable since I had to lean forward quite a bit to reach the table. KPOT has been on our radar for some time; it seemed to take the owners forever to convert the property to BUFFET. My dear wife has suggested a family outing to KPOT. KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot offers an "all-you-can-eat" dining experience in which customers cook their own food at the table. Guests can choose between Korean BBQ, hot pot, or both, and then order a variety of raw meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles via iPad. Standing buffet seems sparse, and do rely on ipad and servers to bring a variety of noodles, veggies, rice, broths, meats, and seafood to your table for cooking. Tanya was our very informed server who talked very fast, but learn by experience was our task. Nicely remolded property which permitted a few parent with screaming children to cause us regret at selecting a lunch. Kpot has the potential of being a nice date night location - depends on screaming children who are in attendance. Travel tip, there is another Asian buffet on Kingsridge Drive. We like the newness of the property, the menu, the service, the food, and the overall experience. Kpot seems to be doing a thriving business, and this is a small chain. read more

It was an experience. I just found that it was overpriced soup that I cooked myself. The food was ok but not worth $30 a person. The service was fine. We ordered with an iPad but the waitress was helpful to explain how it works. I think it's awful you just throw away everything that isn't eaten. You can't take it home so it goes in the trash. We didn't order a lot but we still had a lot leftover. The place is clean and nice looking, however the seats are really far away from the table and you can't scoot them closer. My friend and I came in on a whim because we were supposed to go to ren fair and the storm the night before cancelled our event. We had a whole day to kill so we took the 20 minute drive to kpot. We got there as soon as they opened and we were seated right away. Now I can't for the life of me remember our waitress' name but she had some really cool Hanafuda earrings! Once she got us seated she explained the pricing and the very fair rule that if you have left over meats, you will obtain a $14/lb charge. This is to prevent us from over ordering and wasting food. very reasonable and fair! The selections are outstanding. There is no shortage on what you can choose to get. We opted for a few veggies and all meats. Absolutely incredible. We did the soup AND bbq options. In my opinion, the soup was nice but the bbq was the star of the show so I'm going to skip the soup next time. There's also an appetizer/banchan buffet to pick off of while you wait (we never waited more than two minutes for our meat orders) All in all, the establishment is incredibly clean. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is VERY friendly and all they care about is servicing and making customers happy. Nothing wrong with that! I seriously cannot wait to go back. To Whom It May Concern, I'm writing because something happened at your restaurant that's still bothering me even after leaving. I'm not one to complain usually, but this felt wrong on multiple levels. My party of six arrived ready for a nice meal. Right away, we asked for a bigger table. The space looked tight, and honestly? I'm 6'2", my friend towers at 6'9", and we're all larger folks. We were told no! apparently six people didn't warrant a larger table. Fine. We tried making it work and allowed ourselves to be seated. Except it didn't work. We approached Abigale multiple times. First, she claimed we were confused about our group size. Then she switched her story to say it was about service limitations. When we asked for a manager, she actually laughed-- follow by this condescending little snicker--before announcing, "I am the manager." That stung. She eventually agreed to reseat us in the back section reluctantly. We were told that it would be a minimum of a twenty-minute wait. We accepted without fuss. Here's where things got really uncomfortable. A group arrived after us and got seated immediately in that "unavailable" back section. They were Caucasian. We're African-American. When we finally got moved, we ended up at the table closest to the door--the worst spot in the house. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But as a nurse with years of professional training, I've learned that patterns matter. I'd never treat patients differently based on how they look, and I expect that same standard everywhere. I'm writing this in an effort to seek accountability. Abigale's dismissive attitude, the contradicting stories, and that seating decision--it all felt deliberate. Perhaps it wasn't. But someone with "manager" in their title should understand how this looked and felt. All in all, my family, friends, and I all love coming to this establishment--we've been here on numerous occasions and this is the first time we've experienced unprofessional treatment like this. With that being said, my hope is that by bringing this incident to your attention, remedies can be made to prevent this from happening to other customers in the future. Thank you. read more

I just absolutely love this place--I have zero self control too when I eat here. I always leave so full that Kpot becomes my only meal of the day. It's a newer place but it's nice and clean when you walk in. You'll be greeted immediately even when they are busy. We haven't experienced a wait to be seated because they do have a large dining area with lots of tables. If you've never been to a place like this or you don't go with people that know what they are doing it may be confusing and you might have a bad experience. I will do my best to walk you through this. I always do the hot pot--my husband does BBQ--this means we have to pay the hot pot and bbq price ($35.99 person dinner or $25.99 person for lunch). You will select your broth and I always use mushroom broth. My husband gets the miso broth and drinks it like soup because he doesn't do the hot pot items. It's all you can eat but beware that they will charge you per pound for WASTE so only order what you will eat and you can always order as you go. I order my favorites; sliced ribeye, sliced lamb, sliced pork belly, squid, baby octopus, fish balls, lobster balls and fish cakes. While I wait for my items to come out I'll go up to the salad bar to make my sauce. My favorite sauce includes; cilantro, green onions, minced garlic, a heaping spoon of "sha cha" sauce (make sure you dig deep so you get the sauce and not just the oil that sits on top) and a half spoon of sesame oil. I take this back to the table and mix it really well in my bowl. My broth will be on high at this point. When my seafood/cake/ball items come out I toss them right into the broth. These take longer to cook (3-5 minutes) they have a chart on the wall that will help you with cook times too. I wait for the broth to return to a boil then I will grab up several slices of the meat with my chop sticks and dunk it into the broth and give it a couple of shakes. I hold the sliced meat in the broth for 30-40 seconds then I remove it letting the broth drip from it then I'll place it into my sauce and enjoy!! My husband absolutely loves the flap tail and the pork belly on the grill. He generously coats the grill with spray on butter and cooks each item to his satisfaction. He usually gets a couple of orders of garlic shrimp too. I highly recommend it!!! read more

I've been to two other Korean bbqs and this is one is just as good as the others. This location is louder but more alive. This location is busy but energetic. The atmospheric atmosphere is fun and exciting. It's loud but you can still have a conversation and be a little more audible than if you were someplace else. They played great music if you a millennial or younger. I only do the bbq when I go cause, to manage the hotpot and the bbq at the same time is not fun in my opinion. The meat was delicious everything we tried had flavor. Now I will say the Seoul Korean bbq in masons meat has more marinade and tastes better but we are talking a 4.5 vs 4.0. Still great flavor. Tips and tricks. There's a tablet at the table. Order your meat and rice by clicking the picture. Go to the cart and press order. Go to the buffet line. Go grab a bowl of salt and pepper for your meat ,some soy sauce, and make a custom sauce for your first time. Take it back to your table and by the time you do that the raw meat will be to your table. Throw that meat on the grill add some salt and pepper and start flipping those suckers. It only takes a couple minutes or less. Then I have to give a shout out to the quality of the buffet items. There's not a lot but the quality or those items is far superior than most. If you like spicy stuff. Get the Kimchi. This kimchi is as good as the stuff I buy at jungle Jim's which I'm pretty sure is imported from Korea. Salty, spicy, semi sweet, vinegary bliss! 9.5/10 I'm going back again. You will leave lethargic and full of meat and that's the American dream bottled up in a Korean punch to your gut! The staff were very friendly and gave great instructions on how to do the hot pot and Korean BBQ. The food was fresh and amazing. They served the meats and veggies very quickly. I got the schezwan hot pot and it got spicier the longer it cooked. Very flavorful and paired so we'll woth the shrimp.
