I'm so happy I did. The lady that washed my hair was amazing and I just melted in her hands. My head was massaged and I feel like the wash was well done. My scalp was happy! I was lucky to have Andy cut my hair. The reviews on his art was good so I was surprised to find out he was the stylist that took care of me. He did such a great job. I can't thank him enough for giving me a wonderful birthday hair cut. The charges were reasonable and worth every dollar. It was also the most tip I've given to any stylist. I have had such a difficult time finding a hair stylist that was able to cut my hair the way I envisioned. My search is over!!! I wish I had found this place sooner! The woman who cut my hair, who I believe is the owner (?), was so sweet and efficient. I wish I asked for her name but she was wonderful! Her assistant was also very kind and I found them to be a great team! The owner asked what I wanted and for inspiration photos, which I had ready. She then asked several other questions based on what I said I wanted and the photos I showed her. I wanted face framing layers, a V-cut on the back of my hair, and some bang styling that was appropriate for my face shape. From sitting down, to walking out the door, my haircut took only 40-45 mins! AMAZING! I feel like I have a lot of hair and I wanted layers so I was impressed by how efficiently everything was done, including the washing of my hair & curling after! I also found the price to be very fair and reasonable for what my end-product was with my hair. I highly recommend ON:U if you are in the search for a women's haircut!!! I went with her first solution to do a partial highlight to blend in my previous balayage. She did suggest to do a re-tone if I didn't want to spend more time and money on my hair. It smells (like dirty towels) and the location got contact with it felt itchy afterwards the smell from the dirty towel remains on my neck as well until I shower at home this should never happen at a four dollar sign salon. Besides that, the store was clean and quiet. My appointment was 1PM - 4 PM. Only two people were working at that time--the two owners. Tbh it was the first time I saw a hairdresser do everything himself--all the preparation, cut, perming, washing, etc. The limitation of staff resulted in lack of attentiveness. During the perm, the medicine touched my face, and overall the experience was not up to the standard. I really hope that they can improve because hair coco has lots of potentials.

It takes a long time for me to find one who can actually achieve my desired outcome... and I think I found one stylist who actually exceeded my expectations. Amy takes a good look at your inspiration photo, and she would give you her professional opinion whether it suits your faceshape, and hair texture. She would tell you the possible outcome if she was to proceed with such style. Even if your face shape is not the same as the model in the photo, she would adjust the cut so that you could have the similar or better outcome that suits you. Sometimes when a different stylist cuts my hair short, it usually doesn't grow quite nicely. But when Amy cut my hair short (above shoulders) my hair grew beautifully even when it already passed my mid back. I just came back to her to get my hair colored. She trimmed my hair, got rid of the damage parts, gave me an awesome scalp massage and shared tips on how to style my thinning hair. She also shared some knowledge about hair care, and certain things to do specially for hair. The color was on point and evenly distributed. She also would check on my well-being and would ask if my scalp was feeling okay.. Now my thin hair somehow looks fuller and also looks healthier. Just staring until one finally said "someone will be with you". My stylist herself was fine, but didn't ask for inspiration pictures or ask many questions. I booked a partial highlight no cut because Im used to a highlight and cut being 2-3 hours at my former salon due to my thick, fine hair. Imagine my surprise when I am rushed through and my highlight, processing, washing, drying and curling all in 1 hour and 15 minutes. It felt like the Jiffy Lube of salon service and definitely did not resemble good customer service or hospitality. I left feeling like I was an inconvenience to them. Overall I was not wow'd by my result, but the price point was solid. I waited to post this experience which was in May, because I tried a new salon after, to see if maybe I was overreacting to my rushed experience at Bombshell. I was not. My experience at another local salon was about 3 hours for all parts of a partial highlight and a quick dead end trim. My stylist there was brand new to me but took time to hear my wants and to make sure I left satisfied. So having compared to my before and after, I cannot say I would return to Bombshell or recommend to anyone.

I've gotten overall color, a haircut, and highlights for the same price elsewhere. i've even gone blonde around the same price. Anyway, i only needed a fresh trim on my ends & a minor adjustment to my bangs-- not much done, really. The stylist (Nairi) let me walk out the salon without mentioning the bangs being cut so short. She managed to hide it until i got in the car & at that point, i needed to be somewhere at a certain time so I couldn't even go back to complain. I've had many stylists make mistakes & not apologize to me before I leave the chair, which is so infuriating. It's also why I rarely ever get my hair done anymore, unless i really needed to, but now I might just learn how to do my own hair bcs at least if i were to mess up, i'd mess it up for FREE. Funny, i decided to visit the salon this time around so that i don't mess my bangs up before an event coming up just for that to be the main issue. Talked to the owner Jen who did try to fix the bang, but she couldn't really do much. I thought as a business owner, she'd at least try to compensate for the bad job of an employee by offering a partial refund or something. Nope just said to wait for it to grow back! lovely. I've done my own bangs & have NEVER messed it up like this smh so i essentially (over) paid someone to do a bad job.
