My husband and I came here as soon as we hopped off the flight for our visit to Tampa. We looked for places that were black owned, chose this one, and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It was super fresh and the sauce was everything. We got to chat with the owners a bit and learned that they'd only been open 3 weeks. They've got a bright future ahead for their business. I thought it was expensive for wings but the flavor did make up for the cost. The second visit was to their new location. There isn't any parking for this new location, which was a hassle. There's a cute little patio outside so we sat out there and ate with friends. We were ALL foodies and ALL absolutely loved the food. Literally the best wings in the city! After the first time I went in November I fell in love! I went to ybor on New Year eve and ate there 2 times in one day. I was really excited to try this place. Unlike most who complained about the location, i live around the corner so I had high hopes for it to be a regular stop for me. I'm a sucker for good southern food - their schedule had limited me from getting out here as soon as I had wanted (open 5-10 Th-M). Their location now is a food truck next to a car wash. Plenty of shaded picnic table seating. It wasn't busy when we went but they cook things up fresh so about a 20min wait after ordering (you can also preorder online!). Now for the food. We got the 2 of the YUPPI special 1/2 wings 1/2 shrimp and were able to try the mac n cheese, greens and potato salad for sides. One special was their OG sauce and one was spicy - ngl we couldn't taste any difference between the two so not sure if we were maybe given the same for both or if there's just not much difference. If we did get a spicy version, there isn't actually any kick to the spice. I wouldn't even call it sweet heat personally. I wanted the spicy so was a little disappointed in this, but the flavor was still good. The wings are cooked perfectly, loved the crunch. The shrimp were great in size and tasty. Mac n cheese is normally my favorite side - I didn't care for theirs. Tasted really oily and almost a little burned oil flavor. Greens and potato salad were great. For the price, I expected better food/flavor overall. Probably more of a 3.5 star but I rounded up to 4 and would definitely stop by to give it another shot. read more

I've tried the sauce before on my wings and typically I like my wings extra wet, but the honey base of this sauce makes it too heavy and better for dipping for me. I was FINALLY able to get by this place and I am better for it! Lol. They share a space with a convenience store. They are on one side and the store is on the other. I ordered pick up on ubereats app. I got 10 wings with fries. Once I got there I ordered mac and cheese just because I wanted to taste it. I have never been one to like wet wings because I like my crunch but my husband said they would most likely still have their crunch and they DID! So the only knock I had on this which is my fault was that I was assuming that this was a restaurant; so while I was walking around aimlessly attempting to keep from salivating based on the pictures I saw from other yelpers, I finally found this gem. As soon as my name was called and I got my food, I sat down at the 3 tables provided to eat right there and my lord!!!! The shrimp were plump and fresh. I know the difference between frozen shrimp and fresh shrimp. The sauce (yuppi) had a light heat intertwined with a light sweet with a lime they provide which enhanced the flavors of the shrimp. The wings were no short of spectacular and the fries that came with them were bathed in the yuppi sauce that made them extra tasty. I will say this as a visitor.....I will be coming back.
