    Cold Noodle w/ Soup ($16.95)

Not surprising that this Korean/Chinese food restaurant was fully packed on a Wednesday night at 6:30pm! Seafood Tofu Soup ($16.95) - Tofu soup was SO rich it's practically creamy! I dug around and found 1 large prawn, a bunch of baby shrimp, mussels, heaping mounds of soft tofu, mushrooms, cuttlefish (maybe squid? I can't tell). BBQ Beef Short Rib ($32.95) - How is this so TENDER?! Huge portion too, it's at least 3 large strips. Marinated thoroughly and comes on a sizzling plate. 10/10 would order again, great price too. Honey Butter Fried Chicken ($13.95) - Wish it was crispier, BUT flavour was 10/10. You can really taste the strong garlic flavour. Came with 3 rice cakes too which was cute, a nice chewy break. Cold Noodle w/ Soup ($16.95) - I'm usually not a fan of cold noodle honestly, this was actually amazing and changed my mind permanently about cold noodles. It's not just a boring vinegar sauce, it has a robust flavour with sweetness. Super refreshing for the summer (or anytime really). Seafood pancake was also very good and filling. What I found unique was there was artificial crab stick meat which added extra seafood-y flavour. The dough is quite thick, so it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Dipping sauce also yummy. Service is very friendly, but they're also super busy so you'll have to grab their attention if you want anything. There's a lot of large seating at the back, so it's good for larger parties/family gatherings, but I'd probably recommend a reservation for sure. Lots of parking available, and additional parking up the ramp.

Stumbled upon this place looking for something to eat. I'm from Washington and the food scene in Richmond is not to be played with. There are so many restaurants it was hard to choose. This place was solid. It wasn't the best but it wasn't bad you know what I mean? Everything was just okay (which isn't a bad thing). We got cold noodle, galbi, soonduboo, and spicy sweet chicken. The groups fav was surprisingly the chicken it was sweet, salty and a wee bit spicy. Everything else tasted like how it should if that makes sense. The soonduboo was spicy and jiggly with all the soft tofu swimming in the broth. Galbi was more on the bland side but still good with all the banchan. Would I come back if I was in the area? Yes! But I would rather try other restaurants that Richmond has to offer.

Such a great place to enjoy Korean tofu soup, the best I had todate!! I like how it's bubbling hot and they crack the egg at the table. The mild was the perfect spice level for me. The seafood pancake had a lot of imitation crab if you like that. I thought the service was pretty good. They were friendly and warm! Not typical sometimes for an Asian eatery. I liked how they played only kpop as well. Lots of paid parking in the public lot beside the plaza. I would return and try the hotpot and bibimbap next time.

Delicious spot for comfort Korean food. Love their cold noodle soup during the summer so much we came here twice this week. Plenty of toppings and flavourful soup. Kfc we got garlic pepper flavour but I prefer the honey one more. Didn't realize the Kimchi pancake would be deep fried. The menu pic doesn't resemble what we got. Oil was a bit old. Other than that, this is going to be one of our goto places in Richmond I can tell. Thanks to friends who introduced us here! Oh yes. We got the seafood pancake last time and it was so good. really crispy and full of good seafood. Better than most places we've been to

The staff here are very attentive and friendly, and the food came out hot and swift. We had the pork hot pot and seafood pancake, it was fulfilling and they give you the option for spice or not. Not too busy in the evening and felt comfortable to just eat and talk, if you need them they're right there with a click of the button.

We got the hot pot and the bossam. They were both good, the soup was very filling and bossam was good but was a little fattier than we were used to. Parking will be difficult at dinnertime.

My husband and I came to enjoy an army soup and try something new. Their fried chicken selection seemed diverse and reliable - but the chicken was not what we expected. The army soup was actually quite bland and not spicy. We found the menu to be Chinese fusion inspired. Service was ok - not the most attentive. Ambiance is quiet and private.

This was a pleasant surprise as I was actually heading to the HK Style Cafe that is next door, soon as we passed by, we thought why not!? From the staffs on duty I am guessing that this is a Chinese run Korean restaurant, and my exception automatically adjusted, still they are very efficient and friendly. The dining area is well designed as you still feel a bit of privacy within the small space, in fact they were able to squeeze 2 "semi-private" rooms for medium size parties. Since we had lunch already and was not particularly hungry we ordered a Spicy Pork Bone Soup to share, we did order the full size tho! We got 3 barchan, Braised Potatoes, Bean Sprouts, Kimchi, and the soup came soon after, we were very surprised to see the actual size of the hot pot soup! I am sure it can be shared by 3 or 4 people if you order one or two other dishes, but for sure, this is a good size for $29.95 I think it is a very reasonable deal! Taste of the broth is outstanding! Since we ordered "medium" spicy, it was actually a tad more then "medium" but we still loved it! With lots of vegetables an even fish cake & tofu in the soup, 4 huge chunks of pork neck bone and one rib bone, it was more then enough for the 2 of us, already thinking we might bring home some, but we just kept eating and soon find ourselves finishing the whole pot!! I am glad that there are good Korean Pork Bone Soup that is close to my home and I don't need to drive to Seattle to get it now!! ( but I will still go to the ones in Seattle as they have more variety of banchan! )

***4.5 stars** After a long chaotic day, we were hungry and wanted food and saw this place on Yelp so decided to check it out. It is located in a plaza in the back of the main road so it is not easily noticeable. We decided to go with the bossam, the cold noodle with soup, the deep fried crabs, and the shredded tofu dish. Bossam -- 4/5 --- meat was tender and flavorful, you didn't really need the cabbage or anything else. I didn't really like the sauces that was provided much as it didn't really do anything to the meat. I did like the little crunchy side dish that it came as it brought extra texture. Cold noodle soup -- 5/5 --- huge portion for what you paid for and omg it was soooo good. It was so refreshing and everything worked well together. I especially love the watermelon as it balance out the tartness of the soup. We gulped that down in a heart beat Deep fried crab and shredded tofu -- 3/5--- it was standard, they cooked it well, but it wasn't anything special. The side dishes they gave was standard as well, I especially like the potato though, that was really tasty. Overall, it was a very good meal, we ordered a lot for 2 people but the food wasn't heavy so we didn't feel as bad lol. Definitely will come back to try other dishes

I love the Korean vibe at this place! The food is pretty good as well. Huge fan of the ham and spam rice cake stew!! Lots of food and you definitely want to share with another person!

We don't think of Korean spots when venturing out into Richmond but I've had Cherry's Food House on my list to try for ages. We've been twice for a couple of late lunches. It's next door to Peaches Cafe. They have K-pop music and videos playing in the background. Service wasn't overly friendly but they have the buttons on the table to press when you want something. The menu is spit into tofu soup/stone pot, BBQ/fried chicken, noodle & rice, appetizer, mains and hot pot. Funny that they don't have any of the descriptions of the dishes in Korean. Makes sense after reading from others saying it's a Chinese run Korean spot. Trip #1 We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 2:00pm) and had the place to ourselves. - Banchan - kimchi, bean sprouts, braised potatoes and seaweed salad. The bean sprouts were fantastic; can't quite pinpoint what they did to it but great firm texture and a bit more richness than normal. Seaweed salad was refreshing and the braised potatoes were satisfying. - Rice cake hot pot (F3) ($24.95) - great value as we shared this with three perfect ople and still had leftovers. The broth was well balanced but not spicy at all. The ttekboki were excellent with a bouncy, chewy texture. Spam wasn't too salty and the fish cakes were enjoyable. A little more noodles and vegetables would have been nice but overall, solid. - Hot stone rice (chicken) (A5) ($14.95) - this baby comes out sizzling and really crisps up the rice at the bottom. Chicken pieces were juicy and tender. One of the better dolsot that we've eaten in a long, long time. - Kimchi pancake (D2) ($7.95 for 5) - not too greasy with a touch of crispiness. These were good bite sized pieces. - Yakult - three small bottles at the end of our meal. Brought these home. Trip #2 We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 1:30pm). Not too busy again. - Banchan - same side dishes as last time. All tasty and we got a second round of everything again. - Pork bone hot pot (F1) ($29.95 large) - fall off the bone, tender pieces of pork. Good amount of meat on each pork bone. Broth was flavourful with a hint of spiciness. We like that they give a little more variety than the standard traditional ones. The leafy green/choy was interesting as it had a warm, earthy note to it. Solid spot for some warm, comforting Korean food. Would return to CFH to try more of their dishes.

It looked busy during dinner time so make sure to call ahead before coming in. We ordered BBQ plate beef rib eye, seafood soup to share. Beef rib eye was pretty good. Beef wasn't very tough and the sauce was nice. Seafood soup was quite bland. Definitely needed more spice. The price was $13 for quite a small soup that is usually around $11 else where. Both come with a rice for side. We also ordered cheese corn. It was very weird. Cheese was watery instead of stringy and gooey. Felt like drinking a chowder instead of eating... corn? Overall, pricer than other Korean places in richmond. We need to try out different dishes to have a better idea but we didn't leave very satisfied.

    Simmered pork feet.

First time eating Cherry's Food House and we ordered a lot! The portion size are big and everything is quite tasty. Most special item we found is the deep fried mini crab, which is not a usual items we can find in Korean restaurants in Vancouver. The seafood pancake and pork bone soup are both hood but nit the best one that we had. Pork feet was nice tender and chewy with the skin part. This item also included green lettuce leaves for you to wrap the meat. Overall, a decent place for Korean food. Service is friendly and even gave ys a free drink with our togo order.

As you come in the restaurant.

We ordered just enough as we ate since we weren't trying to stuff ourself but eating a super late dinner. They had a good variety of food that all looked fresh and in an appealing layout. Meat came soon after every reorder and they topped off our soup often. Only thing I would improve is the fruit and dessert bar. Real estate is smaller so not much room for a bigger selection than the other AYCE hot place I've been too. Overall I would come back next time and definitely worth a visit for hot pot lovers.

Since this was our first time dining here, the servers explained some of the items on the menu. They are very kind and very honest. The food however was only okay. My favorite was the noodle dish with the chili chicken. That was probably the best dish. The chicken was tender, slightly spicy, slightly sweet and flavorful. It came with a decent amount of noodles. I tried both the salty and the sweet homemade tofu pudding. The tofu was so silky and soft and smooth. I preferred the savory one, although I skipped out on the chili oil. I feel like next time I will get it with chili oil. The XLB was only okay. Unfortunately, I did not find it very flavorful. The Yangzhou style layer cake was okay. A little plain but it had a nice sweetness and I liked the little bits on top. Would I come back? Sure if an event called for it. Maybe I didn't order the right items but they have a lot on their menu so I would like to go back one day to maybe try some of their more popular items.

A friendly front desk staff greeted us and took us to our seat by the window. Despite not having a reservation, we were surprised that we managed to get a good seat. The potato cakes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size of our main dishes was generous. We intended on getting the à la carte menu at first but realized that based on how many big eaters we had, it was more bang for our buck with the all you can eat menu. We chose the lowest tier of all you can eat and there were some people who preferred seafood; even if you upgraded to the highest tier the selection in our opinion, didn't get drastically better that it was "worth it". We had a party of six and was seated at a long table with a divider. When we got to our seat, the staff had placed the divider at exactly the table edges connecting the two stove but it was so squishy and uncomfortable for 6 people that we had to move the divider over a little. There's a time limit for all you can eat however with one stove and us not knowing that the vegetables came raw and in full foiled packages, it took a long time to grill anything. Our waitress came over many many times to remind us about the time limit and even then... we were well over our time limit even though we only put in two rounds of food. One stove shared between six people was awful. It's not like our stove could cook any faster even if the waitress rushed us. We were even ending the meal with s'mores and the waitress couldn't wait any longer and brought over the bill. We had to put down our s'mores stick to pay the bill so she could leave us alone to finish the meal... the restaurant was not busy, there were plenty of empty tables and there was no one waiting in the lobby. Did not appreciate the service here. Overall, food was greasy and not memorable (as I just tried a different grilled meat spot a few days prior). The portions were weird. Most of the dishes were severely under portioned so we made sure to up our portions for round two. Our time was up before we could even put in our final round three order. The staff also didn't respect some of the items. We put in ice cream on the first order as people wanted to use it as a grease palate cleanser and it was only when we followed up with the waitress did they say "oh we thought it should be served at the end of the meal instead since it's a dessert". Perhaps following the orders of what customers mark off would help with better customer service....

It was our first time trying Chengdu hotpot 成都火鍋( (aka Sichuan hotpot 四川火鍋), and we did some homework beforehand. Chengdu hotpot stands out for its aromatic, complex flavours and less oily broth than the Chongqing style. Yuan's Hot Pot 袁记串串香 nailed it! We ordered COMBO A ($83.99), meant for two, but honestly, it feels like a feast for three. What's in COMBO A? ~ 50+ skewers packed with meat and veggies ~ Dual broth: House Special Spicy ~ Soup Base & Pork Bone Soup Base ~ Sweet potato vermicelli ~ 2x House Special Dipping Sauces The spicy broth was bold and flavorful without being overwhelming, and the variety of skewers kept things exciting. Their signature dipping sauce with Yuan's Hot Pot Sesame Oil is a game-changer -- so fragrant and not greasy. Yuan's Hot Pot 袁记串串香 brings the bold, authentic flavours of Chengdu straight to Richmond. We went with 1/2 soup base and 1/2 extra spicy. And the extra spicy is definitely spicy...no need to add any dipping sauces with that base. Ordered a variety of proteins and vegetables. I liked that most of the items were on skewers which made getting it out of the base much easier. I did find the beef overly salted. And I really enjoyed the corn on the cob. Service was great and definitely needed a shower and a change of clothes after dinner. They were having a buy one get one free anniversary promotion. You can return and have the same items ordered for free on your next visit. It is a pretty good promotion. It was a positive food experience.

The dining rooms looked pretty much the same when we walked in. Even though the Elysium menu is similar overall to the restaurant before, there are currently some unique items available now (at least from what I remember, which could be incorrect since it's been a while), such as beef / fish pancakes, mala fried chicken, and sliced steak BBQ. The dishes we tried had a lot of flavour with quality ingredients, but what made our first visit to Elysium special was the staff. Everyone who helped us that night was so friendly and kind! It was a great dinner, and we'll definitely be back.

This restaurant has such a big menu but the food quality is consistent! Everything we ordered was nicely plated and tasted good. The restaurant is very spacious and looked very clean. At the entrance, there is a station where you can see the food being prepared and I thought that was very neat. I came here as a group of 7 and the waitress was so kind and patient in helping split the bill by individual items and shared items. The waiter who served us was also super friendly! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for Korean food in Richmond.
