I have never seen any little shop like this before with truly curated gift items that are so unique. You won't find these items anywhere I can say with confidence. The outside is very inviting and back into you in. The shopkeeper had a big smile on her face and offered me wonderful Homemade Cookies. The fragrance of Christmas was in the air. This is an update to my original five star rating from almost 20 years ago. The Shop was a…read morewonderful local gem back then, but now, not so much. In the past year - since the new manager took over - The Shop has totally changed. Prices have gone way up, and the new manager is touting stuff like a whole "St. John's Knits" section which I really don't care about. I also notice that if I come in wearing my sweats & no makeup the manager doesn't say boo to me, but if I come in dressed to the nines then the manager is is super friendly, which I find shallow. She also has a weird policy on "Sales"; in the past, annual end-of-season sales were always promoted ahead of time. But the new manager insists on "flash sales" that aren't advertised, so you just have to stumble upon them by chance. All of this adds up to a poor shopping experience, so I rarely shop there now and I never donate anymore. Bring back the old manager, Robbie; she was wonderful, as are the employees who work there. In fact, the employees (outside of the current mgr) are the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1.

A huge thank you to Georgette and Sophie for taking such amazing care of us during our meal, and to Patrick for being so friendly and helping us take some great pictures! The entire staff was incredibly attentive, polite, and welcoming. Before you even reach the restaurant on the third floor, you walk through their interior design space, which is absolutely gorgeous. As for the food, it is definitely on the pricier side, but absolutely delicious! I think their wine is too expensive for a glass but the food kind of makes sense. * Starters: We had the Haas avocado caviar and the Buretta. Definitely make sure to order some starters because they set the bar high! The downtown area is filled with home decor and furniture stores, but Home stands out in that interior design is their specialty, and they offer complementary in-home interior design consultations on appointment. We walked in to make an inquiry about a reupholstery project, and although this particular job is outside of the scope of their specialty, I enjoyed browsing the well appointed interiors of the store and chatting with a friendly employee there. At the Home store, they sell custom furniture and work with you for fabrics selection and other particulars for your specifications. Apparently the MDG comes from Park City, Utah, where the Greatest Snow on Earth is! This fact maybe entirely unrelated to your home design needs, but knowing that Morgan Design Group has started back in 1993 there may provide for some reassurances that they are experienced in what they are doing. They provide design and space planning for new construction or remodeling projects, interior design services including furniture, accessories, art, and window treatments. They can make selections for tile, cabinetry, flooring, moldings, and things like that, via working with your contractor, architect, or landscape designer.
