When I was in San Carlos this morning, I stopped in to Home Goods and was very pleasantly surprised. I found everything I was looking for, plus several more items. It did remind me of Sears in terms of excellent kitchen and bathroom supplies, lovely clothing choices, everything a person could want for their home. And I got to check out immediately as there were few people in line since I was there right when they opened at 9:30. Lovely experience...I will definitely go back again.

Present with small child and completely obstinate indicating their floor staff make sure all objects are perfect at point of sale (yeah, right). Won't ever be returning to this store. Buyer beware here -- they will go out of their way to lie that merchandise they sell never has imperfections and that it's the customer's fault if you return anything that missed a 20-point inspection required of the consumer. I have never seen any little shop like this before with truly curated gift items that are so unique. You won't find these items anywhere I can say with confidence. The outside is very inviting and back into you in. The shopkeeper had a big smile on her face and offered me wonderful Homemade Cookies. The fragrance of Christmas was in the air. I've been coming to World Market for over a decade and my home shows it. From dishes to rugs to…read morefurniture, this store holds my heart. Everything they offer is quality. Sure, IKEA is IKEA, but when you buy furniture from World Market it's guaranteed to last. Not only is everything quality, but you can find things at this store that you can't find darn near anyplace else. Aside from home goods, they have a huge selection of global food and drinks, including one of the most diverse candy sections around. After coming here for so long you'd think I know everything about this store, but a few weeks ago I learned something new and really valuable. Every department has a clearance section!!! YES!!!! Every department! There's clearance for candles, body wash, men's fragrances, kitchen wares, food and drink, furniture, everything! They also mark down anything from a recent holiday, up to 90% off!! Come on, in this economy who doesn't love a deal? If you can't find one of the clearance sections, just ask someone. All of the employees are so nice and helpful. My favorite clearance areas are the 33% and 55% off food racks located at the back of the store. They are loaded with yummy food - like salami, pasta, gnocchi, baked goods, sodas, coffee, tea, chips, candy - and everything is heavily discounted. A lot of the items have been discontinued, so this is the last chance to buy them. It's the first place I head when I walk in. I've left before with a full grocery bag for less than $8. The next time you find yourself in or near Bridgepoint Shopping Center...GO! Make sure to seek out all of the discounted items. You won't regret it!

I even called your customer service number and got nowhere. THEN i called your San Mateo store and spoke with Andrea. Andrea looked for the item I was looking for and online it said this store had 3 of the items. Andrea went and looked and couldn't find any of them. Andrea took my phone number and said she'd look in a little while when she had time to do so as she was at the Cash register when I called . In about an hour later Andrea called me back and said she found the item I was starching for at all of your locations. Andrea then put it on hold for me and I will be going, 1st thing tomorrow morning to pick it up. Andrea went over and beyond to make my purchase happen. I used to manage Big Box stores for 20 years and I know 1st hand how important it is to know who your star employees are, well Andrea is definitely a STAR Employee and should be commended for giving such exceptional customer service.
