The previous owner was extremely personable, polite and displayed gratitude for her customers. We never had any issues until the second owner took over. At first, she was great, very bland personality but did a good job so we continued to patronize her business. About 9 months ago I was on my way to take my dog to get groomed and he had started to develop symptoms similar to he ate something bad or was ill. He began excessively vomiting and seemed very lethargic. He had not ever experienced anything like this before and it was so sudden so I became concerned took him to the vet and they told me he needs to rest and lots of fluids so I had to cancel my appointment. Of course, I missed the appointment as I was at the vet, it was the first time I have ever missed an appointment. The vet said he needed rest and didn't think it would be wise to take him in case he had the flu. So I called the owner apologizing profusely and she was not understanding she did not care about the well-being Of my animal. I did not want to risk getting any other pets sick! You'd think she would appreciate me not wanting to possibly get other dogs sick. Fast forward to this incident I had an appointment scheduled for February 18th at 9 am written both on my paper calendar and my phone calendar. I walk in and she abrasively says your appointment yesterday and I apologized and said there must have been a misunderstanding because I wrote it down on two calendars. *** SIDE NOTE***this same incident has happened to SEVERAL customers according to her yelp reviews and googles reviews so I am NOT the only customer this has happened to as she claimed I was the only one ) *** She goes into saying all these unprofessional and abrasive things and begins to make comments about my life how I need to manage my and priorities differently. Mind you, I run several businesses and a family so that was not relevant obviously she felt the need to pick apart someone to make herself feel better. I understand how challenging it can be to run an independent small business however it's all about being professional, having grace, post your rules and regulations in case of a missed appointment as salons and other groomers so. She obviously seems to have deeper issues and I believe that is a reason why she hashed out so incredibly volatile. I will never bring my business to doggie delight and all the other customers who I referred years ago to get their pets groomed as a result of my experience will take their business elsewhere.

I'm still hoping to better understand: -Where the matting was on both dogs and how severe it was -Why such a short shave was chosen without checking first -And to request that I be contacted before any future decisions like that or a sanitary shave I had my two dogs groomed here on March 26 and had a mixed experience, but what's most disappointing is the lack of communication afterward. To start, I understand that my Great Pyrenees had some matting since she's newly adopted, and I do appreciate that the groomer took care of her. However, I was surprised at how short she was shaved and would have really appreciated a call before making that decision. For my Husky, I was told he had "severe matting," which was confusing since he's been consistently groomed for years and has never had that issue. His coat also didn't appear heavily impacted afterward, so I was hoping for clarification on where and how severe the matting was. Additionally, a sanitary shave was done without checking with me first, which I would have preferred to approve beforehand. What's most frustrating is that the owner specifically told me to reach out if anything seemed off and that they would follow up. I sent a detailed message the day after the appointment and a polite follow-up a few days later, and I have yet to receive any response. I value communication and transparency, especially when it comes to decisions about my pets' care. Unfortunately, the lack of response has left me feeling unheard and hesitant to return. His face was so adorable and his little paws looked so perfectly shaped and fluffy! He came home so white! We are traveling home from the east on a long vacation and they accepted my baby with no problem. Got him in right away and off on the road we went. I can't say enough what a great job they did and made me feel welcome even though he knew I was from out of town. I WILL be bringing him back here whenever possible. Never got this good of service from Las Vegas to Yhe east coast to Vermont and on back to Vegas. Really pleased.

This time my groomer was Sidney (not sure on spelling), and before grooming she called to ask permission to shave underneath my husky and around his chest area. I agreed to THAT only. At no point was I told she intended to shave his entire body. I picked up my husky completely shaved down, which was shocking and honestly devastating. Huskies have a double coat, and shaving them is generally not recommended unless medically necessary. If a full shave was being considered, that absolutely should have been clearly discussed and approved beforehand. I'm honestly embarrassed to even take him out for walks right now because of the stares and comments I know we're going to get. Beyond appearance, I'm also genuinely concerned about his sun protection and ability to properly regulate his temperature now that his coat has been shaved off. My issue is not with the salon as a whole, since I've had positive experiences there previously. My issue is specifically with the lack of communication and consent from this groomer. I trusted that my instructions would be followed, and they were not. I'm extremely disappointed and hope management addresses this so it doesn't happen to another owner.
