I love that they emphasize this is not a petting farm; there is a lot of pride taken in giving these animals a dignified and happy life. We purchased a feed bucket with grain and carrots and fed the donkeys/horse and goats which our toddlers loved. We then headed over to the play area where they have oodles of imaginative play spaces setup with a little village that included a restaurant/vet/town store and then there's a barn and little house with tons of stuff inside of them for the kids to enjoy. There's also little tractors and tricycles for the kids to ride, push mowers, rocking horses. Tons of spots for adults to sit while the kids play (in shade too). They also have a very cute out house with a nice potty AND changing table with a real sink which is such a nice touch for families. Staff was fantastic and the price is so reasonable for all you get. We will absolutely be back!

When you buy the animal feed they tell you to go straight to the animals otherwise you'll get stuck in the play town forever. That was great advice as after we were done feeding the animals our kiddo was in heaven checking out the mini diner, grocery store, vet and more, riding on the child sized tractors and generally just having a ball. It was a great time, the perfect place to Brinn a picnic lunch & enjoy as the kids play. We will be back for sure!

It was a little confusing at first since no one was around to guide us, but a kind staff member eventually helped. You pay after picking by Venmo, cash drop box, or at the bar. Just note that if you pay at the bar, tax is added. They had live music while we were there, the pizza smelled amazing, and the cider options at the bar were great. They also have a corn maze, which looked fun, though my husband chickened out thanks to Children of the Corn . Overall, it's a good family spot. Just plan your visit early for the best fruit-picking experience!

My Fiancé got a vodka, blueberry honey, lemon and lavender cocktail and said it was phenomenal. I got a Terra Firma Red, great beer from a local brewery. We didn't sample the food on this visit, but the people around us were loving on the pizza, which looked amazing, and the rest of the menu looked fantastic as well. My brother and his wife say the food is outstanding as well. Live music on the weekends in a beautiful setting. Don't forget to go through the corn maze when it opens as well. We will definitely make this stop again when we visit up north.

Shetler Family Dairy - A great place for milk very nutritious!

We love that they do not homogenize the milk, which makes it healthy for the heart, the way milk is supposed to be drank. They also flash pasteurize to avoid killing off all the healthy nutrients in the milk. Store-bought milk is homogenized (very unhealthy for the human heart) and ultra pasteurized, which kills essential nutrients. Their milk tastes way better than the store milk I grew up on. Their chocolate milk is also amazing. I don't know if they still do the milk plant tours, but if they do, be sure to go on one. I remember years back, Kaleb Shetler showed a group of us how they process and bottle the milk. It was amazing. Each year they also have their Open Barn, which is amazing for the whole family. There is only one thing that I don't like, and that is their ice cream. I am an ice cream fan. Their ice cream used to be super gritty and I stopped eating it. Just had some recently and it is too dense and crystalized. I do, however, think it is good that they use fewer bad ingredients in their ice cream, which some other local dairies use. The ingredients list on their ice cream is shorter than others, which is a good thing. We will continue to support the Shetler dairy for as long as we continue to live in the area.

5 STARS!!!! WHY? BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME!!!!…read more I don't know why anyone would rate it any less than 5 stars. Where else can you get cream line milk in glass bottles fresh from the farm?!?!?! No, seriously, where? The place is small and their hours are 11-5, but if you can make it there they have amazing products and it feels like a step back in time to a place where things were a little more simple, a little higher quality, and a whole lot more delicious. They have other products as well. Cheese and meat. I mean, really, what else do you want out of a little Dairy Farm Store? I mean, other than girls dancing the can-can or a juggling clown, this place is one of my favorite stops on my way north. It's pricey, but so is a Mercedes and I don't see anyone complaining about that. You get what you pay for here. They also take American Express, which is a plus for a business traveler looking for a place to spend his daily per diem.

A must see on Washington Island!…read more I'm biased, because I LOVE the color purple. But come on....neatly arranged, shapely clumps of flowers laid out in a giant field? It's a beautiful (and fragrant) sight! There were so many butterflies and bees visiting all the flowers at our visit, that I took probably too much time trying to take the perfect photograph. There is a gazebo and benches amongst the lavender plants if you choose to relax out there, otherwise, there is a patio just outside the shop to relax on and enjoy your purchases. The shop is a cozy place with lavender EVERYTHING! Books, oils, sachets, perfume, soap, dried flower bunches, small dishes, pressed flowers, candles, jewelry..... There is a small counter area where you can purchase food and beverages, most of it lavender infused. I picked up a few caramels, and my husband bought me a lavender wine slushie. I am by no means a wine drinker, but this thing was delicious! The ladies inside the shop are very friendly and knowledgeable, and can give you recommendations on which kind of lavender plants to purchase when you get home (I don't think they sell plants there). Be sure to put this place on your list! 7/2025
