A few weeks ago, I was doing some errands this morning, when I happened to drive by this truck. I…read moremade a point to stop by on my way back home. It's a brand new food truck. Emily, the owner/chef, just opened for business last week. The Violet Festival was her first customer experience. New, bright green truck - can't miss it. She was in the process of the last steps before opening on a consistent schedule. Out and about again today with my niece, we noticed the truck's sign was on. Two picnic tables were added, so there's room to sit and eat. Chatting with Emily, she's super friendly and personable. We ordered two Spring Rolls and 8 Potstickers. We had to wait a little longer than usual, but the truck is new, and operated by one woman. First out was the Pork Potstickers. The potstickers are sold individually - $2/piece. A side of what tasted soy/teriyaki dipping sauce. They were full of flavor! Hot. Solid consistency. The pork was a delight! As we waited for the second dish, we were given Crab Rangoon to try. A bit too much cream cheese for my tastebuds, but not bad, nonetheless. Want to add that the triangles were filled full, so that's always a plus for getting your money's worth. Great crispy fried taste of the wrapping. Oh, and Emily offered us a free bottle of water to compensate for the delay. The truck did not have cooked noodles (for the Spring Rolls), so Egg Rolls it was. They were fantastic! Chicken and veggies. The dough was cooked to a slight crunchiness. Satisfying! I'm excited to try the Steamed Buns and Dumplings, as I'm currently crushing on those! I hope her dishes are as solid as the food I had today!

The food is made to order so prepare for a little wait roughly 10mins. I love the steamed home made dumplings. Soft and doughly will the pulled pork was nicely flavored. The set up is a big green food truck which is brand spanking new in front of a big ol red barn lol. So you cant miss it. Its set off of Gender rd. The owner set up a picnic table and gives you red trays to carry your meals. The only draw back can be the weather and the traffic. She is really close to Gender rd and if it rains you better be ready to grab it to go. All and all a nice place for some Asian cuisine that's freshly prepared.

The beef burrito and with creamy jalapeño sour cream sauce was high quality! Impeccably prepared beef on a soft tortilla wrap with the black beans, Spanish rice, cheese, and the usual suspects of veggies on the inside make this a go-to. My wife had the Tandoori Chicken on rice on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. Solid on its own, but the creamy white sauce really enhances all their dishes. (My burrito included a small cup of it, too.) The only thing that needed noticeable improvement was the horchata. I loved the sweetness of it, but it was too grainy. We had to get it hope to strain it and re-chill it; then it tasted great, like a melted ice cream in a good way. The burgers, appetizers, and specials all had items that were appealing, so they definitely earned a second visit.

I don't care what you order from Harrison's Food Truck Halal, two things are for certain. Number one you're gonna get a lot of food and number two. it's good be damn good! The ladies are thee best at cooking up amazing food. Harrison's like a Mexican Fusion with a little East Indian flair here and there or at least that's my take. I ordered a Harrison's Special Platter W/ Salad which is enough for two. Their Double Cheese Burger as absolutely insane on how big it is and their fries slap! Loved the California Burrito. Their Horchata is super dank and the Mango Lassi is a real Mango Lassi made with yogurt, not some artificial juice nonsense!
